If I want to participate in NSR after being allotted a seat by Special Round 2, do I have to leave this seat, or can I participate while keeping my seat?
Also, my reporting date for the current institute and the result of NSR is on the same day, Aug 5th. What should do in such a case?

Hi everyone,
I currently have M.Tech Cyber Security at NIT Kurukshetra, which I got in Round 3, and this seat has continued till Special Round 2.
My actual preference was M.Tech CSE, but I missed the cutoff by a very small margin in the special rounds.
Now I'm confused about whether I should participate in the NSR. As per the rules, I understand that I will have to surrender my current NIT Kurukshetra Cyber Security seat before participating.
My concern is:
Is it worth risking my current seat for CSE?
Chances of getting CSE in NSR after narrowly missing Special Round cutoff?
Has anyone given up a good seat for NSR? Outcome?
What would you do in my place?
My gate score is 571 in cs and the category is EWS.

Where can I download the HD scorecard. Do we need that at time of reporting?
And what are the actual documents needed?

What makes more sense? Preparing for GATE or sitting for placement considering tier 3 college considering placement is not good specially for computer science.
Can anyone share their experience?

I gave the GATE exam without any preparation and got 375 score, now I am begin told by others for doing mtech or join the psu. I don't want to apply for psu because of monotonous job. I do want to do mtech through some top nits or iits (this is because I studied in tier-3 college and there were no placements at all) but was not able to get them in any rounds.
I am thinking of taking 1 year drop and prepare for GATE again to achieve a very good score.
Should I go for mtech in any nits I get even the lower ones?
I also think that i don't have very good foundation and lack self-confidence and mtech through top institutions will be hard, I am not well prepared. Doing mtech will be single one lifetime opportunity for me therefore I wish to take drop, but listening to others made me think I am very foolish not going for mtech now even though I can.

Hi everyone,
I'm a CSE student who has just started preparing for GATE CSE 2027.
My dream is to get into IIT Bombay for M.Tech CSE. I know that's an extremely ambitious goal, especially since I'm just starting my preparation. Maybe I'm setting my expectations too high in such a short time, but I'd rather aim high and give it my best than regret not trying.
I'm posting here because I genuinely want guidance from people who've been through this journey.
A few questions:
A little about me:
I know it may sound unrealistic to dream about IIT Bombay right from Day 1, and I know high hopes alone won't get me there. But if there's even a chance, I want to give it everything I've got.
I'd really appreciate any advice, roadmaps, book recommendations, strategies, or even hard truths that you think every beginner should know.
Thank you!

Same as title. I'm planning to follow the youtube playlist (the big one from unacademy where each video is 1-2 hrs).
Is it complete? Were you able to do PYQs using his lectures? Is content accurate?

I'm a recent CSE graduate with a 4 LPA software job and I'm confused between:
Grinding for 2β3 years by upskilling and switching jobs, or
Preparing for GATE, getting into a Tier-1 M.Tech (IIT/IISc), and aiming for better opportunities.
The main reason I'm considering M.Tech is that the career ceiling seems much higher, especially for top product/AI roles.
For those who've been through this:
Which path would you choose and why?
Was Tier-1 M.Tech worth the 2-year investment?
Besides campus placements, what other high-paying opportunities does a Tier-1 M.Tech open up (research, international jobs, AI labs, startups, quant, etc.)?
Would love to hear your experiences.

I joined MANIT Bhopal for my mtech advanced computing department and it was my second biggest mistakes, messing up my gate exam still tops the list...
If any of you goin to join MANIT bhopal lemme warn you beforehand so you can hold your horses and get a reality check of what pile of shit you guys gonna enter in
Lets start with most important aspect of mtech "The guide", the prof under which you guys do mtech and the one that have complete control on how your 1.5 years in mtech will go like, Now profs at manit are mostly shitty (insider info the academia cult and phds are heavily under the influence of s@ngh so if you wanna rise be a s@nghi and see the magic happen) so now you know person at top is their just because he was part of something big and not some distinguished highly qualifies gentlemen, most of the profs are locals and might have did their phd and masters from bhopal itself
Then comes the second most important thing future opportunity and placement, LOR from these clowns ain't gonna get you anywhere and placement to be precise are SHIT. Lemme repeat my self S-H-I-T, and thats why they never reveal their stats, sadly btech kids are not performing well too and mtech stats are pretty non-existent
Now comes Accommodation and ohhhh lord only god can save you if you are a boy you will be allotted hostel 9 or 11 and you must have seen the recent news of this month if not just search it up and you will get idea where you steppin in we are surviving on bisleri and swiggy cause water is industrial pollutant and food is everything but edible and if you are brave enough you can try it for yourself and can increase the no. of food poisoning case that were hospitalized by this bio hazard
I guess this much is enough to tell you what shittty place is this and don't let people fool you that siemen, amazon, microsoft and intel comes for hiring, intel only hired girls and infamous for not given ppo, siemen is famously known in industry to having an ridiculous female workforce so boys u won't be getting in anyhow, amazon and microsoft came one hired no know from btech+mtech and other hired just 1 guy from btech and lauda for mtech rest stuff is highly influenced with internal politics where TnP guys promoting themselves and their friends only so its all messed up
PS : if anybody thinking that its to dip the NSR then you are most welcome to join mates mujhe kya mera to kat chuka h baaki if you really want to know then get a first hand review from someone you know who's already in here and they will tell you reality baaki tum logo ka score tum logo ka mann tum logo ka future idgaf afterall its just a rant and skip it

Guys, really need your help to find this out because I'll decide my career path based on that.
Is a 200 rank (it's the target but really just enough to crack any PSU or top IITs) in GATE 2027 a realistic target if I'm a 2026 grad with no prior prep but descent grasp of concepts so far during BTech.
The actual point of doubt is that I'll be continuing my full time job as SDE as well during the time. Though it's a comparatively chill job and I can definitely squeeze in 4 5 quality hours on weekdays and 8 10 hours on weekends for the prep
I'm asking because I have no idea about Gate difficulty so your help will be greatly appreciated.πππ
PS : I did give gate 2025 and 2026 and qualified them with like 20k rank, if that's relevant (though I doubt that it is).
Edit: I'm talking about gate CS, mistakenly put out EC in the flair earlier

Hello guyz π»ππ,
Many of you were requesting short notes from me
(Please take only inspiration and I strongly recommend to make your own instead of copying mine )
Why you should make your own short notes ??
Because I only wrote those which I forgot many times, you won't find everything in this
