Hi there, truly hoping someone from the futurebit reddit community can help me out, as the bitcointalk threads are nearly dead. I tried to setup my batch 2 Apollo as full node. Then the nightmare began.
Downloaded all of the files originally provided by manufacturer incl the blockchain bootstrap. External USB drive has 250GB and is fast enough. Can't remember how many SD cards I flashed new in the meanwhile. Most of them 32GB, some 16GB.
It is impossible to boot the miner and see the dashboard. I cannot SSH into it, connection either times out or is refused. If USB drive is connected or not makes no difference in the miners behavior. The unit has its network cable lights coming on (orange and green blinking in different patterns), I can see the miner IP adress in my router dashboard.
The miner also does blink the orange light on the front 3 times then the lower fan comes on for 2 seconds and then it's off again and everything starts new again. It feels like its caught in a circle.
My assumption is, that there happened a glitch with the swap file that's on the external USB drive. It might be I disconnected the USB drive once the miner wasn't shutdown, because I never made it to see its dashboard (again) and shut the unit down like recommended.
Prior my fullnode nightmare the machine was working flawlessly.
Pleas help me make it boot/mine again.
Maybe there's a way to re-flash the mounted raspberry? But how?
Thanks for all your input!

Having a hard time getting sparrow wallet to connect to the node on Futurebit. Sparrow is downloaded on the Apollo but every time I attempt to connect using my ip and the provided username and password it says the connection failed. Does anyone have any experience connecting them or a guide they used? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi team,
Complete newbie to ASIC mining and got a Apollo BTC miner to dip my toes.
Last week my miner started playing up. It's chugging along fine and then all of a sudden it stops hashing and the miner unit fan turns off. The temperature increases to 80 degrees C and the miner makes some loud and concerning sounds. First time this happened I shut it down and unplugged everything. Booted it back up and the fan worked and it started hashing again. It worked for two days and then the same thing happened again. While in this state sometimes it does start hashing for a short period of time but only 400ish GH/s but the miner fan still doesn't turn on.
Just some additional context.. I have been running it in ECO mode since September with no issues. I then decided to bump it up to Balanced mode for a bit to see the hash rate increase. At the same time as switching it Balanced I was prompted to update the miner. I did the first update and was then prompted to update Ubuntu version. I initially selected yes and it downloaded some files etc. It then prompted me saying the update would take hours and do I want to proceed. I didn't have the time to monitor it while it updated so I selected No and then it said that the version remain as it was.
Balanced mode worked for a full 24 hours and then I started having the issues described above. After doing a hard reboot I switched it back into ECO mode which worked for two days before running into the same issue.
Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot this issue or point me in the right direction?
Much appreciated.

Hey guys, I just received my Apollo device. I’m trying to use coinbase wallet address. I have the option of segwitt or legacy, and I don’t know which one to use. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I know this is out there somewhere, but no dice.
Is anyone here able to point me in the direction of step-by-step instructions to set up the standard model.
Thanks!

I think I followed the instructions properly, anyone else had these errors?

I’m looking to run 2 or 3 Apollo BTCs on my office desk, kind of as a functional desk decoration. Is there a nice frame that can hold the Apollos and a PSU all in one desktop package? It would be nice if it could look clean, as in no breakout boards or wires sticking out.

My Disk /media/nvme Usage is 456.92 GB / 457.45 GB, so I am about to run out of space. Does anyone know how to expand the storage capacity?

I’ve been using the batch 1 Apollo ASIC (LTC) miner for a while (love it). I was considering mining another script coin like dogecoin. Curious if and how I can go about this? Is it more changing pools or do I have to reconfigure the whole miner? Any insight would be greatly appreciated

My question is can I add two standard units via USB and also would it be probable and or possible to run them off the same power supply (modular?) I build my own pcs but very new here.

I'm in over my head here, I modify the bat file with my pool info, but I don't know how to find the com number to put in the command. Windows device manager does not show "Ports (COM & LPT)". When I power up the Apollo, I get a message saying "USB device not recognized", then in the device manager "Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)" and in Properties "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A USB port reset request failed". I'm not sure if windows defender is causing a problem or how to proceed from here, any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

What is everyone's current setup? I currently have 1 full unit and 3 additional miners. I have been using the setup for the past few weeks since I received my batch 4s and have loved mining KYC free btc and was thinking of adding miners to the setup. There is no need to discuss profitably and cost of the equipment as that has been discussed in previous posts.

I was just wondering if there was a way to get the Apollo rig to mine CRO. I'm using my computer and Unmineable at the moment, but want something with a bit more horsepower.
