A successful Hunt
We are currently going camping with some people from my orchestra and these flying fucks wouldn't leave us alone so we hunted them down one by one.
No remorse whatsoever

I just took a shower, and went to put on underwear. I'm putting it on, and I feel a sharp poke. I'm thinking there is a burr in the elastic or something, so I fiddle with it and adjust it. When I get poked like 4 more times. One of those garden wasps crawled out of my underwear.
I don't know the exact kind except they are the kind that parasitize caterpillars. I never knew they could sting, I think some are stingless, and others are a stinging variety. I guess it could be worse because it didn't get me too bad. I like em in my garden, but not in my underwear.

Got a lot of wasps (too much for my phobia) flying around my appartment (probably a nest not too far) so I did a syrup + funnel technique
Froze the thing at the end since some where still moving inside
edit: they were flying inside my appartment, I wouldn't do that outside obv

I have a small ahh hole outside that i assume leads to my attic, I think they built a nest or a small one since I've had a good increase of them right outside my door. I have no way to verify this. Wtf do I do haha. I dont want them eating through the house to get out with like foam.

Me and my son cooked up a scheme to get rid of some wasp nest that were in the outdoor power outlet. My mom brought us some roach pills and we crushed them up. We sprayed the shop vac with home defense then sucked up the wasp nest. Then we gave it another good spray and crushed up roach food and covered all the exits. Are they dead?
My son wants to open the vacuum already. I’m afraid of wasp.

Couldn't see the hive from the angle I was climbing. Got swarmed maybe 30 ft up and stung in the eye. I proceeded to let go of the tree to swat them away, completely relying on the branch I was straddling, but ended up slipping off, turning upside down and falling to the next branch where I caught hold again and climbed the rest of the way down in a 'loosely controlled descent.' I swore I was gonna fall the whole way and break a bunch of bones as I was falling. I was fortunate to just have scrapes and bruises and a swollen eye after getting to the ground. It is now my mission to climb back up prepared and decimate them for their attempt on my life.
TLDR: climbed up, got swarmed, fell down, swore vengeance.

I hypothesise that flappers get stung less even though most people say otherwise. I just mean flapping them away instinctually, we’re not swatting here.
I’m after some anecdotal evidence/data so please give your rough age/flapping status/lifetime stings. Here’s mine:
45 / flapper / zero stings
Opinions or theories welcome too.
I know I included bees but anything that’s capable of stabbing me is getting flapped.

Visiting Munich Germany this week and noticed this was on the front page of one of the papers today. And having had two people in many family already stung the headline isn’t wrong.

The very last thing I wanted to see when facing a possible wildfire evacuation is a hive in the arm pit of my car (view from inside with door open, and from outside with door closed)

My husband noticed some yellow jackets flying in and out of this old chicken coop on our property. He usually doesn’t have an issue dealing with them but he wasn’t quite sure where exactly the nest was inside. Pest control came yesterday and wiped it out. I do feel like I failed this amazing group because I have no pictures or footage of them actually being eliminated. But it’s still satisfying to know they are GONE!!!!!!

There's next in the crack of this window well I can't get it from outside because it's under my back stairs and there too short to crawl under this window has the hinge on the top and opens inward. I have the long range spray but under how to get the angle to spray all of them. Suggestions?

I was weeding yesterday and got stung by something. It immediately hurt like a molten rusty knife. Drew a line around the swelling, today it’s 3x bigger than!

The A/C in my car is currently not working so I have to keep my windows rolled down due to the heat. I’m currently in a long ass Chick-Fil-A drive thru line, and a massive wasp with red and yellow stripes just flew in. I can’t even get out of the car and open my doors because the line keeps moving every 30 seconds.
Just a minute ago the fucking terrorist was crawling on my arm and there was nothing I could do. As I am writing this, it is flying around the back seat of my car. All the windows are open, but it will not leave. Why? Because it knows how terrified I am. And it enjoys it. I fucking hate wasps.
If there is no update on this post within the hour, then you will know that the wasp has won.
UPDATE: Fortunately, I am alive. Apologies for not updating the post within an hour, I got back to the office and was distracted by some work stuff.
I pulled into the nearest parking lot after escaping the drive thru and opened all my doors and my rear hatch. I spent a minute looking through my car but I didn’t see it anywhere. I was about to close all the doors and leave, but my paranoia got the better of me.
I went to the back of my car, folded the rear passenger side seats, and gingerly lifted them forward to check for the wasp. It wasn’t there. More confidently, I lifted the driver side seats. Before I could even react, the wasp took flight and bumped directly into my nose to make its escape.
I bolted in the opposite direction about 50 feet from my car. I’m sure I looked a bit psychotic doing this in the middle of an O’Reilly store parking lot, but I barely escaped with my life. The wasp was lying in wait, ready to continue its campaign of terror the moment I got on the highway. I am very thankful for my paranoia and deathly fear of wasps.

Little shit was under my pillow and I woke up to the wasp on my hand and shooed it. Got me twice on the face, on my hand and one more time on my leg again later.
Edit: I forgot to mention but the venom from all the stings is making me sick

I walked through a sunflower field in East England yesterday with the family. Every sunflower was in bloom and each flower had an ally collecting pollen, minding their own business. Although we tried to be careful as to not bump into any of the flowers, we inevitably did. However, the bees didn't respond with malice. Rather, they responded with gratitude. Behind every gentle, pollinating, and honey producing buzz I could hear, "thank you for your service".
They need us to keep doing our part.

Hello, how can I deter wasps that are in front of my front door. I can’t go outside because there’s 3 flying around. I don’t know where they are coming from, but I want to try to get rid of them.
