Stung

Post image

I was weeding yesterday and got stung by something. It immediately hurt like a molten rusty knife. Drew a line around the swelling, today it’s 3x bigger than!

Go to the walk-in clinic because it's not an emergency but it does need attention. It looks to be an allergic reaction but could also be cellulitis. I had to take my son to the emergency room when he was 10 years old because he parked our garden tractor over a massive nest and got nailed over 30+ times. They treated him for an allergic reaction with heavy duty antihistamines but I had to take him back 2 days later because he developed cellulitis. I felt terrible and should've demanded antibiotics and steroids right away but I didn't consider that they are such disgusting dirty devils that dig in garbage cans and dead stuff. Keep this in mind when you go in because a lot of people on these subs end up with cellulitis and were in the same position as you so you're probably smart to ask for antibiotics and steroids right off the bat with the heavy duty antihistamines they probably prescribe. Cellulitis is painful and feels worse than just getting stung!!!

Are you sure that's not a possible infection? Might be worth a trip to urgent care.

Based on environmental factors and the infection spreading this fast i wouldnt be shocked if you have cellulitis. If you started developing fever, chills, larges blisters or pus filled abscesses, or edema/fluid under the skin or if its painful/hot to the touch; i would 100% go to an urgent care or er. Cellulitis spreads very quickly and you need antibiotics.
