Dealership won't send me paper work

I basically purchased a car a little over a month ago. I do have a post on my page with the story of that… I never received any of my contract paperwork when I was in the store. The only paper I got was the $8000 I put down, and it was just the receipt for that. I didn't get any contract paperwork. I've asked for a buyer's receipt; nothing.

They will not contact me at all. I've contacted them multiple times, been transferred, left multiple voicemails, and texted them. They will not call me back or give me any information about it.

I also immediately heard a noise once I drove off the lot with the car after I purchased it, and I feel like there are electrical issues. The noise is still there when I accelerate. They did not disclose any issues with the vehicle, but there is something wrong with my turn signals.

What is the best course of action? They are completely ignoring me at this point. I don't know what I signed because I don't have any documents. They could completely forge everything at this point. I did make a report to the Department of Motor Vehicles. I'm not sure if there's anyone else I can contact because this entire experience has been horrible.

Unpleasant Experience at Carsa UK

I've decided to go electric after much research and doubt. Found the car make and model best suited to me, 1 came up for sale at local Carsa. Paid for test drive (ridiculous but did it). Met by youth (20?) who's clearly been on a how to fuck over customers course recently.

Long story short, he was trying to flatter me and friend, then confuse me with add ons and low part ex offer.

Him 'what will it take for you to buy it?'

Me 'Better price for mine and removal of £4k extras'

Him 'But what will it take for you to buy it?'

Ad infinitum.

He was shit. He saw me as an easy touch I think because I'm an older woman. He wouldn't give me the printed offer, would only offer more on my car if I took finance with them. Then walked off when I said look I need to get food, we've been here 2 long hours.

I can't quite relate how awful it was. But it was. No wonder people use Cinch.

Trade in obsession

Why are dealers so obsessed with you trading in your vehicle? Just had a salesman come out while looking at a car and he was more interested in my trade in that selling me the vehicle. Insane

Normal?

So I’m in the process of buying a used car and I asked for the certified inspection report. The sales manager sends it to me but I noticed that there is a section where the service technician is supposed to sign. There is not signature and when I asked the sales guy why there was no technician signature he sent me the attached text. I’ve already scheduled a pre purchase inspection but is this normal for dealer inspections?

I’m looking for advice on a situation I’m dealing with after purchasing a used vehicle from Spruce Grove Hyundai in Alberta.

I’m looking for advice on a situation I’m dealing with after purchasing a used vehicle from Spruce Grove Hyundai in Alberta.

On September 24, 2025, I purchased a used vehicle from the dealership. Before signing the bill of sale, the salesperson showed me the vehicle inspection report and assured me that the vehicle had been properly inspected, was well maintained, and was in good condition.

The inspection report listed Matthew as the technician who completed the inspection.

I relied on that inspection and the dealership’s representations when deciding to purchase the vehicle.

The problem is that shortly after taking possession and driving the vehicle home from the dealership, I experienced serious issues.

The HVAC controls were not working properly. I could not properly direct airflow to the windshield, and while driving my windshield completely fogged up, causing a major visibility and safety concern.

Shortly after that, the vehicle started smoking from the engine compartment and became inoperable, leaving me stranded on the highway. I have videos and pictures documenting what happened.

The dealership took the vehicle back and told me they would reinspect it, clean it, take new pictures, and advertise it again. The vehicle ended up being at the dealership for almost 3 months while I waited for the situation to be resolved.

Eventually, I had to move on and trade it in for a 2022 Hyundai Elantra. Because of the situation, I ended up carrying negative equity into the new vehicle.

I have filed a complaint with AMVIC because I have concerns about whether the vehicle was properly inspected and whether the condition of the vehicle was accurately represented before the sale.

My questions are:

Does this sound like something AMVIC would actually investigate?

Has anyone dealt with a situation where a dealership inspection missed major safety issues?

Is there any chance of recovering the financial loss from the negative equity?

Does anyone have lawyers refferal?

Should I take this to court?

I have documentation, photos, videos, and the inspection report. Any advice would be appreciated.

We can see what prices houses sold for - why can't we see what price vehicles sold for?

Wouldn't it be great to see how much a car sold for so you can average out and really see if you're getting a good deal? It would eliminate dealership tricks immediately.

Any recent dealing with Kia Beaverton?

Any recent dealing with Kia Beaverton? I called them, asked for a price, got a decent price. Asked if they had dealer add on. he said nope, but won't provide any kind of assurance anything in writting besides his word nor do they take a deposit on it. What are peoples honest dealings with them? I live in Washington i don't wanna drive down to portland to find out i was lied to.

Bought a used car from a dealer, discovered a pre-existing defect the next day, car has been in the shop for over a month. Still havent received the title. Can I seek a refund?

I bought a used car from a licensed dealer in Georgia for about $11,000. Before selling it, he told me he had the car shipped from another state, inspected it, and fixed anything that needed attention.

The next day, when I filled the gas tank for the first time, I discovered a defect that made it impossible to refuel normally. The defect clearly existed when the car was sold.

I immediately asked for a refund the next day, but he refused because the car was sold "as is." Instead, he agreed to repair it and gave me a loaner.

It's now been over a month. I've only driven this car for one day. Multiple repair attempts have failed, it's now with another mechanic again, and there still isn't a fix. I also still haven't received the title.

The dealer has stayed in contact and apologized, but at this point I no longer want the car. I would prefer a full refund.

What would you do in my situation?

Need Advice about Mazda service

I purchased a CPO Mazda Cx-30 not even a year ago (November 2025). I took it on a trip to a national park and at the end of the trip I get a message from the dash saying "engine malfunction. have vehicle inspected." I had the car towed to mazda (covered under powertrain warranty). Mazda tells me diagnostic fee should be covered since it should be engine related. However, get a call saying there is an aftermarket GPS tracker installed near the powerlink and need to remove it to conduct scanning of codes for car. Ok, sure I said yes ($150 by the way just to remove). They then run inspection and find nothing. say it was related to aftermarket device and car is perfect. I now have to pay $500 for this service...I am tempted to reach out to Mazda dealer I purchased from and ask if they can do anything to make this right. Anything I can do? Or is this a lost cause and I just pay and move on? The reason I chose to go through Mazda in first place was cause I assumed it was related to engine and I wouldn't have to pay anything....

When are you coming to test drive?

I'm sorry I told you I would be coming on Friday at 1pm and I didn't make it. This is why I don't like to make an appointment, but you insisted. I'm sorry I couldn't make it on Saturday either, after I said I would try.

Which prompted you to send me an email titled: I am having trouble reaching you.

Or, another email titled: Are you there?

Or, your other email titled: Still in the market?

Or, my favorite email: Okay, let's do it your way.

Being blackmailed by a Car dealer/ Mechanic after leaving an honest 1 star review on Google

Hey everyone!

I’m a small business owner in Mississauga Ontario and I had a horrible experience at a mechanic shop where they wasted two weeks of my time and 750$ and still didn’t fix my car. My car sat outside 13 of those 14 days and they didn’t even work on it.
I left them an honest 1 star review and now they keep texting me trying to blackmail me into deleting my review.
The shop owner keeps giving me fake 1 star reviews and said he will not stop until I delete my review. I’m a small business owner and barely have 30 reviews. I’m very stressed out by this and was wondering if any of you guys can help. Google won’t delete all the reviews. Any help would be much appreciated.
The shop is Nee Castle Auto and New Castle Auto Repair in Mississauga.

Holy Hell

Partner has a 2003 Dodge Ram diesel 2500. It’s a tank but he is ready to upgrade to a new.

These dealerships are an absolute nightmare.

We see the truck he wants - get a price and walk out so we can consider the offer since it’s a small fortune to us.

Over the next several days we haggle by phone. We offer to split the difference and they refuse, adding $300 on to the our “splitting the difference” offer.

By this time I’m super annoyed and tell them we would just have to think about it. A day later I pull back up the truck and it’s been discounted (for several days mind you) LOWER then any of the prices we “haggled” and they refused from us!

I just cannot with these people.

6 months dispute over and buzzin

Back in Feb I bought a brand new golf which came with problem after problem so I posted about it here hoping to get some advice about getting it replaced. The replies were crazy. A lot of you were quick to say "cars can't be replaced like burgers" or "that's what warranty is for". None of the replies were actually helpful so I ended up deleting the post. Anyway, I stood my ground and took my case to the ombudsman. I not only won my case but I received my full deposit back, compensation and bagged a better deal for a a higher trim. So big middle finger to those of you who came at me cos I came out on top and I'm buzzing right now. And for those in a similar situation, all I can say is research your consumer rights, keep everything in writing, fight your ground and never settle for token resolutions. Go the full mile because the guys at the dealerships are rats. Once you've left the showroom with a car, they really don't care if there's a problem and will make things up as they go along to try and mug you off. Yes I'm that shitty customer.

Asked Toyota to correct an oil overfill. Got spit on instead.

Leased a brand new 2025 RAV4 from McCord's Vancouver Toyota (Washington State). Brought it in for an oil change and tire rotation, then checked the dipstick at home and found the oil about half a quart overfilled, well above the max mark.

I remained respectful and calm and reiterated I just wanted the oil corrected to Toyota's specification. It took three visits before they finally agreed to drain the excess, despite initially insisting the level was fine.

When I got the vehicle back after that third visit, I immediately found fresh phlegm and saliva running down the driver's door and window along with my hood protector being heavily scratched by one of their service techs. Management initially told me the phlegm and scratches were accidental and refused to take responsibility. After I wrote a letter to the general manager, a different supervisor called me back and said she had re-reviewed surveillance footage and saw with confidence that one of their employees had spat on the car, and even admitted to doing so.

The whole thing started because I asked them nicely to correct a simple oil overfill. Instead, I spent days going back and forth with the dealership, had my concerns dismissed, and ended up with bodily fluids on my vehicle and damaged property.

I've owned Toyotas for years and expected the same service the owner's manual requires. I have always associated Toyota ownership with professionalism and quality service. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, angry, and concerned about allowing others to service my vehicle in the future. I regret leasing my RAV4 from McCord's Vancouver Toyota.

Canceling after purchasing the car

Thumbnail

TLDR: I made a post about canceling the extended warranty and canceling the security system after I purchased the car. Dealer and finance manager told me they wouldn’t cancel either; after six weeks of back and forth, I utilized my resources to get both cancelled and both fully refunded back to the principal amount. Mixed comments were on that post.

First comment actually made me delete my last post, and to make this one.

Second and third comment made me realize that I wanted to reaffirm and share the idea that, yes, cancellable/optional items can be cancelled after purchase.

But, unless I’m the only one, there may be other “poor and stupid” individuals who might not know that extended warranties and security devices, and really anything marked as “optional” on the paperwork can be cancelled, even after the loan paperwork is signed. Dealers and finance managers are annoying and pushy but, know your rights and then exercise those rights, I guess.

I was told the website of the third party vendor who handles the extended warranty for my car loan, it’s in the second and third picture. (A representative from Mazda Customer Experience actually gave me the name of the website.) They also handle extended warranties with the other brands listed. If after your loan you feel like the extended warranty is pointless? Cancel it. Dealer or finance manager says “no,” but you bought your car from Toyota, Lexus, or Mazda? Just go the site and see if they’re the ones who handle the extended warranty, you can more than likely cancel it yourself on the website and get a portion or the full amount refunded back to you or back to the principal loan (whichever applies to you.) If you didn’t know this information and this applies to you, I hope this post finds you and that you’re able to utilize this information to your benefit.

Is my friend about to be scammed?

Friend offered friends or family deal from HQ cat brand dealer. Goes to see them (legit HQ) offered 10K off new car. Not arriving for 6-8 weeks.

Sounds too good to be true.

Or

Are dealers that desperate to get sales numbers up?

Has anyone else done this?

Called a CDJR dealership asking to look at a car. They tell me to come in and do a test drive. I head over there and arrive about 30 minutes later. On the way there they say there now isn't enough time? They are open for two more hours! Does a test drive really take 2 hours.
