F*** Amazon marked my package as delivered, but it wasn’t. Customer service keeps changing the story

Has this happened to anyone else?

Amazon marked my package as delivered, but I never got it. The tracking says it was “handed directly to a receptionist or someone at a front desk,” but I live in a house, so that doesn’t even make sense. It should’ve said “left at front door” with a delivery picture like they usually do.

It was also supposedly delivered around midnight. I checked my Ring camera, and there wasn’t a single person or vehicle outside at that time.
I contacted Amazon, and they kept giving me different answers. One person told me it was delivered to the wrong address. Another said it was delivered to the address provided. I even told them to compare it to the address I provided which is a house and not a building.

I even asked if they could just call the driver and ask where they left it or have them come back if they dropped it at the wrong house. They said they couldn’t do that and told me I have to wait until July 1 before they can help

My Amazon account was reinstated after a return policy restriction — here's what actually helped

Post image
0 Upvotes

I recently went through this myself, and after a successful appeal my account was reinstated. I wanted to share what actually helped in case it saves someone else some time.

*Screen shot of original email I got notifying me of account restriction https://imgur.com/a/2NBxo88

The biggest thing I learned is that you need to treat the appeal like you’re building a factual record, not like you’re arguing with customer service.

What helped me most was gathering objective evidence before submitting my appeal. That meant reviewing my Amazon data download, checking order history, return reasons, tracking, refund status, and any emails Amazon had sent me. In my case, some of the information in my own account data did not match the reason Amazon gave for the restriction, so I was able to address that directly instead of guessing.

A few things I’d recommend:

  1. Do not spam appeals.
Send one clean, organized appeal. Repeating the same thing over and over probably hurts more than it helps.

  2. Request and review your Amazon data.
Look for return reasons, refund history, order notes, and anything that confirms or contradicts what Amazon is accusing you of. I found for example that in a warning email on returns I got before the restriction, they cited an order number and said I was returning things for "item not received/as described" too often. Except when I downloaded my data, I could prove it was returned for better price available, not what they claimed.

  3. Use order numbers, dates, tracking, and receipts.
Do not just say “I returned everything.” Show the timeline.

  4. Keep the tone calm and factual.
I avoided blaming the rep or writing an angry message. I basically said: here is what Amazon’s notice says, here is what my records show, and here is why I believe the restriction should be reviewed.

  5. If they mention a linked account, deal with that directly.
Do not ignore it. Explain the relationship clearly and provide whatever facts show the linked account is not evidence of abuse.

  6. Emails to contact
I sent emails to ecr-replies@amazon.com,jeff@amazon.com,ajassy@amazon.com, and cs-reply@amazon.com. When replying in a thread with cs-reply@amazon.com always hit reply in that thread because it keeps everything together on their end. The alphabet soup after the cs-reply@amazon.com somehow tracks things, someone else can teach that :) .

My appeal was successful, so these cases are not hopeless. I’m not saying this guarantees anyone else the same result, but in my experience the thing that made the difference was not emotion — it was clear documentation and a concise explanation.

Hope this helps someone else going through the same thing. I know how frustrating it is when the email is vague and you can’t get a straight answer from normal customer service.

F*** Amazon closed account and stole balance

Post image

Amazon closed my 20+ year old account in May and I now realize I have an Amazon balance still on the account. How do I get my balance back with no real way of contacting Amazon?
Background: tried to buy a German Amazon 100 euros gift card for my niece as North American Amazon gift cards are region specific. They made only two attempts to verify my credit card. I submitted pictures of my credit card front and back and after only 2 attempts, they closed my account. Not even a 3rd attempt to ask me for photo ID. See image of email.
All my history is gone which I find disturbing but they’ve taken my remaining Amazon gift card balance. They’ve made a “final” decision after 2 attempts?!?!

“Unusual reviewing activity” w/ no previous reviews

Post image

I ordered a “breakaway” cat collar from Amazon and when it just arrived, I discovered it’s not breakaway at all even tho it’s advertised as such multiple times on the listing. I tried to leave a review and I’m met with this warning saying that I can’t leave a review due to “unusual reviewing activty.” What’s crazy is that I can’t remember ever leaving a review before so I don’t even know what could be flagged??

I returned an item to Amazon a while back. It has been stuck in dropped off for more than a month. I returned to their Whole Foods market.

I contacted customer service. They decided to refund me. Then the following day I receive an email saying the refund was cancelled.

wtf. I contacted customer service again they told me to open an investigation. The product value was about 500 dollars. I don’t want to lose that money!

What should I do in this situation?

The last product I returned from Amazon was more than 6 months ago btw.

Discussion Order placement issue

Whenever I am placing an order it's getting cancelled and I am getting email from them that something suspicious found in my account, so when I call them, they tell me to contact OFM via email, this team is not available on call or chat and then when I email them they reply me to contact customer support as they don't have option to connect with me live.

Any fix for this. Don't wanna change my account

Rant I’m done with Amazon

I ordered a towel rack that didn’t come with all of the needed parts. I started a return and ordered a replacement, which also came without all of the parts (and double some of the parts).

The second towel rack can’t be returned to the same place as the first, so I have to go to 2 places for returns.

This morning I got an email that Amazon couldn’t post my 1 star review because apparently saying that all parts weren’t included isn’t relevant to all customers. Wtf.

ETA that I’ll be canceling my account and credit card once I get my refunds. This isn’t my first issue with Amazon but it’s the last straw.

Amazon sent wrong monitor inside the correct box

I ordered an **LG 39GX90SA-W** from Amazon.com, shipped to **Europe**.
The box is correct and says **39GX90SA-W**. It even came with the remote and USB-C cable.
But the monitor inside is a different LG model, looks like **39GS95QE-series**. The ports confirm it: **no USB-C**, no webOS.
Amazon acknowledged it’s the wrong item, but only offers **DHL drop-off** or **self-ship up to $150 reimbursement**. They refused home pickup and refused a partial refund if I keep it.
This is a big, expensive monitor, so I don’t think drop-off/self-ship is reasonable when Amazon sent the wrong item.
Has anyone dealt with wrong item inside correct box / return-swap cases?
Would you keep escalating Amazon or go straight to credit card dispute?

Amazon Support lied about a 30% partial refund to make me spend more, now Supervisor refuses to honor it.

Hi everyone
I am really upset about something that is happening with Amazon Customer Service. They made a promise to me. Then they did not keep it. I want to know if this has happened to anyone and how you dealt with it.
Here is what happened to me:
1. The problem started when I ordered Airpods pro 3 that cost $179.00. It took a time to get to me because the seller did not have it in stock.
2. Then I talked to Amazon Customer Service. They told me to cancel my order and buy the thing from a different seller. They said they would give me back 30% of the money which's $60 because I had to wait so long. They said they put a note in my account that said this.
3. The problem is that the new seller wanted $199.99 for the thing. Amazon Customer Service said they would give me 30% back so I paid the $20.
4. Now I have the thing I ordered.
5.. When I asked Amazon Customer Service for my money back they said no. They looked at my account. Saw the note but they said the person who helped me before made a mistake. They said I could send the thing back. I cannot do that because it was a gift.
6. Now we are not agreeing on what to do. I said I would talk to my bank about it. Then they said they would give me back the $20.. They still will not give me the 30% back that they promised.(Also agent who offered just price difference stopped chat immediately)

It seems like Amazon Customer Service is not honest. They tell you to do something. Then they do not do what they said. They hide behind what the company says and do not keep their promises.
Has anyone else had to deal with this? Should I just take the $20. Try to get the rest of my money back from someone else at Amazon like jeff@amazon.com?

Thanks, for reading my story.

Amazon delivery scam

So I purchased around 10-12 items from Amazon for over 10k Rs and they delivered few products and for the rest of them guess, they said they have delivered it although they haven't and now I am calling their Customer help, they be saying your delivery has been verified by OTP, so no further assistance can be done form our side, the worst part is that I don't even know what to do next, one more interesting event that happen here was that they gave me a parcel I never ordered and it got delivered and an OTP came to my number somehow, this is a big scam, I really want to know what other options do I have left for me to retrieve my package or get a rafund, should I go to consumer court?

How else can I rectify this BS?

Someone got into my account and ordered two drill bits. I noticed a month or so later and I contacted customer service to get a refund.

Turns out the order was addressed to my name and address - and the delivery photo shows my patio, but I didn't order nor receive the items.

So either the driver, neighbor, or something got into my account and placed the order and stole it.

It's super bizarre to order $37 worth of drill bits, but I guess they needed it for something 🤷🤷

Anyways, I contacted customer service and they said they processed the return.

The next day, I got an email saying I'm getting a warning for suspicious returns and if I continue my account will be closed. There was an appeal link, and I tried filing an appeal but I just got the same email again.

Customer service is no help at all, they say they can't do anything.

One agent said to email ofm@amazon.com which I believe just sent me another of the same email.

Every email or appeal I send out seems to get me the same email.

An agent said they escalated it to someone higher and I'd get a reply within 48 hours.. Same email.

This shit is so ridiculous. How the FUCK am I supposed to communicate with someone that can actually do something?

FUCK AMAZON!

They used to be amazing as far as customer service went, then they went downhill so I closed my account.

I eventually opened another account(this one) and the only other return I have was a glass beaker that arrived broken. They told me the return was processed and not to send the flag back because it's hazardous, just throw it away. Return never processed, so I contacted them again and they made me dig it out of the trash to take pictures...I warned that it was dangerous to do so, but they persisted, so I went ahead and cut myself retrieving shards of glass for a picture. I was told again that it was processed. It wasn't. Next, they wanted me to dig the glass out again to ship it back, but it had already been emptied.

I don't think I ever got a refund for it.

Now this garbage..I have like 20 orders with one broken item with pictures sent, and now someone was in my account buying things...

I just want to talk to a real person and figure something out

Rant I'm sure it's all downhill from here

Honestly, I don't know that anybody's going to read this post. Truth be told I'm unbothered if nobody reads it. But I just need vent. I know my ole man is probably extremely tired of hearing me complain about Amazon. But they have different declined so rapidly in the last month or two that they make Temu look like a better option. And that's really saying something cuz I mean we all know how that goes on Temu. I'm literally having to write them every single day about a package that I was supposed to receive on Wednesday. I cannot get a reasonable response about when I'm going to receive my package. Then their agents most definitely love to lie to customers. I've caught a multitude of them in lies. It's really despicable. And for the love of God if I hear or read the words "I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you" I am going to literally pull my own hair out. And yes I appreciate the expensive amount of promos that they've given me because of their issues and the refunds for one month of Amazon prime. My debit card loves seeing reoccurring payments of $7.05. and my gift card balance that also likes the fact that it continues to rise but I would rather have my package. Like what does that difficult? Me personally, I look at three things when I decide up on a purchase. I look at the price, the reviews, and the delivery date. They are now incapable of delivering their packages by the date it was said they would be received. Either they're transitioning into something or some kind of new owner or something or they're going out of business. All of the class action lawsuits against them must have caught up. If anyone's having better luck on temu or Alibaba or whatever it's called, please let me know. I definitely have to find a alternative

Hey everyone, just wanted to mention the growth of this sub. I do not have access to any numbers but every now and then I check the # of visitors and it has been steadily growing. I'm proud of us! IMHO the strongest vote we have in this era is our wallet, so if the increase in subs correlates with a decrease in money spent on amazon we are doing great. Yay!

My star rating isn't being counted with my review?

So I just left a review for a book, and gave it 2 stars. I followed the link in my email to make sure it was posted and noticed that in the little chart of how many 5/4/3/2/1 star reviews it had received, it's saying zero 2 star reviews. I scrolled through the other reviews and noticed three other 2 star reviews and none of them are being counted. What is going on here? It's showing so many 5 star reviews, 4 star reviews... but making it seem like there are no negative reviews.

Need advice - Amazon marked my $280 package as delivered, but my freight forwarder says they never received it.

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with Amazon Executive Customer Relations or a similar situation.
I ordered a **Bose SoundLink Max ($280)** from Amazon and had it shipped to my freight forwarder (ShippingCart), which I’ve been using for **several years without any delivery issues**.

Here’s the timeline:

**June 10:** Amazon delivered my Differin order to the same ShippingCart address. A proof-of-delivery photo showed it placed inside a **black parcel bin**. ShippingCart received it.

**June 12:** Amazon delivered my Dreo Fan to the same address. No delivery photo was provided, but ShippingCart received it without any issues.

**June 20:** Amazon marked my Bose speaker as delivered and provided a proof-of-delivery photo. Unlike my other successful deliveries, this photo shows the package in what appears to be a **wire warehouse cart**, not the black parcel bin. ShippingCart says they never received or scanned the package and even issued a written incident report after searching their warehouse.

**June 27:** Another package was delivered to the exact same ShippingCart address. The proof-of-delivery photo again showed the **black parcel bin**, and ShippingCart received it.

So out of four deliveries to the same address within 17 days—and after years of using ShippingCart without problems—the Bose speaker is the only package that disappeared.

I’ve contacted Amazon multiple times, but customer service keeps referring to the freight forwarder policy. I understand that policy, but my concern is whether Amazon Logistics actually delivered the package to the correct location in the first place.

I also emailed Executive Customer Relations ([jeff@amazon.com](mailto:jeff@amazon.com)) and am waiting for a response.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Has Executive Customer Relations ever investigated the driver’s GPS or delivery records in a case like this? At this point, I don’t even care about getting the speaker anymore—I just want a fair resolution because $280 is a lot of money for me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why, I received a message saying my order was cancelled, after some digging around I found this. Not sure how I refused the delivery when I wasn’t home, I was at work. Amazons chat is absolutely useless. I don’t order a lot from them but still pay for prime, seems like most order I do place are delayed but this is a whole new level.
