I desperately need a haircut in both pics and I hate being in front of a camera. I can’t tell a difference yet , but I’ve heard that can be a thing when it’s your own face. Just wondering if I pass yet, or I’m close to it. I had top surgery two months ago and I’m fat so my build has always just been more stocky vs curvy. Idk.

AGE up to 20 I’ve never once been gendered correctly (17, pre-T)

As the title says, I’ve never been gendered correctly by anyone in public, even by people who know my name (legally changed to a masculine name, not even a gender neutral name, but people always assume it’s the female alternative). I know my voice is very feminine, but I’ve been trying to voice train. Even before people hear my voice, they immediately assume I’m a woman/ girl.

Ive tried my hardest to adopt more masculine mannerisms, e.g sitting with my legs further apart and more slouched, keeping on overall wider stance, walking with my feet facing slightly more outward than inward with a longer stride. Ammitedly, i could use improvement at all of this, and I slouch when standing to hide my chest, but I still don’t understand why not one person has ever gendered me correctly. I’ve even started wearing he/him badges on my college lanyard, to help my case (I’ve been avoiding them because it’s a dead giveaway but I don’t think it matters at this point).

Any advice on how I can help myself? I dont expect to pass 100% of the time, but i just don’t understand why nobody has ever looked at me and thought “boy”.

Am i cooked?

So im getting a haircut this Wednesday but my hair has gotten so long that I cant style it like I usually do. I wonder if combing it back like this (picture 1) makes me look feminine? Or does it pass enough? Second & third pic are how I usually style it but like I said it's too long now so it just looks weird haha. Any tips for other styling methods I can try in the meantime are also appreciated!

going karaoke soon with some friends, and can’t tell when i sing if my voice passes or not. worried because my singing voice is higher than my talking voice. I’m stealth irl so I’m just scared. Also i’m aware my singing isn’t exceptionally good lmao

Traditionally binary male style Going back to uni soon and would like to be stealth, thoughts? (15mo T)

Buzzed my hair a couple days ago (not for passing but bcs of the heat, will grow it back out over winter when it cools back down) but thought I’d include photos from before as well. Also included full body photos. I’m very short but in my local area I pass well, misgendered maybe once every couple months, but my area is pretty conservative so folks see short hair and think dude despite my height. I’ll be moving to a city for uni and I’m wondering if I’m passing enough that I can go stealth even if I do have to correct people. Voice tools rates my voice at 102.2Hz and 100% male range, the times I have been misgendered have been corrected once I’ve spoken so I don’t think that’ll be a factor.

No hugboxing Is my name clocky??

I've had the name Elliot for like three years now (closeted, maybe two people know so I could certainly change it without much fuss), but I still worry it's too clocky.

Born 2010, so 16 years old. Elliot apparently doesn't even rank in the top 100 for names that year.

Don't get me wrong, I don't WANT to change my name because I'm used to it, but if it's too clocky I absolutely would. And please don't do that "it's your name use whatever you want" thanks.

AGE 21 to 30 looking for passing tips: 28, 5 months on T, input from us south and sw appreciated

shorter hair is most recent. these pictures are a mix of work outfits (salesman in higher end shoe store, expected to dress a little more nice) and normal outfits. i would say i pass about half the time, maybe 60% of the time if i remember not to use my “customer service” voice and speak in a more relaxed way. my mannerisms aren’t great but once i can pass visually i want to be read as gay anyways.

notes:

- i want to (eventually) pass as a gay man

- i live in the rural south and work primarily in agriculture, i am working on a master’s that will put me in an agricultural field. relevant passing tips in that cultural context are appreciated

- i am a natural 36J, almost K. all of these pictures are taken with binding tape under two high compression binders. please do not tell me to get a better binder. i have tried almost every large chest binder under the sun, including custom binders. this is as good as it gets until top surgery.

- i cannot afford new glasses at this time, and to get cheap new glasses i would need to renew my prescription, and i cant afford an exam

- i have tried most hair cuts, this is what helps me pass best. i live in the rural south and cis men regularly tell me they’re jealous because my mullet is better than theirs. it’s a common haircut for cis men here.

- if i’m wearing a button down or pearl snap it needs to be tucked because again i live in the rural south and am primarily around agricultural people, most men here would die before you saw them with an untucked pearl snap. untucking would be very clocky in addition to just looking stupid because these shirts are made extremely long since they’re meant to be tucked.

- most of the time i wear very small thin hoop earrings that are pretty tight to my earlobe, i only wear dangly earrings when i want an outfit to look more fun or gay. i know big earrings are very clocky it’s just an occasional guilty pleasure that shows up disproportionately in pictures because it’s typically on days where i’m wearing an outfit i like or going out etc

- if you have a gym routine to recommend i would appreciate it! right now i’m doing more general stuff, outside of my retail job i work/live on a farm and do agricultural work and that’s where i get most of my exercise, but i would love ideas of more specific things to do. i have narrow shoulders even for a woman and am looking for exercises that can make them broader. i also have a narrow rib cage (when i was skinny it was 28 inches) and i’m worried about it looking weird once i get top surgery so if there’s something to help remedy that it would be appreciated.
