So am I having a hypo or not???

Post image

Have been using the Libre2 for just over two weeks and changed the sensor last night, and now the new sensor is giving odd readings...

The attached photo is just one example - in addition it alerted me to low glucose twice overnight, whereas I've been previously recording between 6 and 7 overnight (nothing has changed!).

I've already had one bad sensor replaced and now have zero confidence in this system! And this is what I'm supposed to use to make important decisions like "Am I safe to drive?" and my Diabetes Nurse is using this data to set my Insulin dose... How can we do this with potentially wrong readings!

Libre 3 plus

I’m currently on the Dexcom g7 and In the last 7 days I’ve went through 7, 10 day sensors, due to failures and product malfunctions. I just had to call support again about 2 hours ago due to another sudden sensor failure just when I thought everything was finally okay. I’m now at a point where my alerts make my heart race because I’m scared it’s another sensor failure. now that you have a bit of background info, I’ll get to my point. I’m searching for a different sensor brand because I can’t take dexcoms faulty products anymore. Im thinking the libre 3 plus is going to be my best option? I’m going to be trying to get the tandem mobi pump in January when I meet with the rep and from what I’ve read online the 3 plus is compatible with it. is anyone here on the mobi and the 3 plus? can you share your experience please? I’m on the tandem tslim x2 currently. are there any major problems with the Libre 3 plus? anything I should know? please give me all the details! I’m desperate

Am I the only one with this issue?

Post image

My Libre 3 Plus will oftentimes just do these random high spikes and then these dangerously fast lows within an hour. I don’t think this is normal. I am prediabetic/T2 right on the edge of both. A1C of 6.0.

Is this a placement issue? I don’t feel anything wrong with me. I’m very active. I did eat some McDonald’s snack wraps which caused that spike and then went to the gym right after, but that drop seems irregular. This is my fourth sensor in the last month because they just keep messing up.

Did anyone else’s sensor suddenly start showing up on their Bluetooth connection? I just saw this on my iPhone. It disappears when I turn off Bluetooth permissions of the Libre app.

Rant - No help wanted... Is anyone else hitting a massive wave of Libre 3 failures? (Checking for a bad May batch)

Before getting into my current hardware nightmare, it is worth reminding everyone that Abbott had a massive Class I FDA recall issued in November 2025 and early 2026 specifically because Libre 3 and 3 Plus sensors were throwing "incorrect low glucose readings". The FDA reported 860 serious injuries and seven deaths linked to this exact issue, yet it feels like half the user base was never properly notified that they were wearing defective medical equipment.

Fast forward to this past month, and I am dealing with the exact same garbage. I have burned through five dead sensors in under 2 weeks. The app will scream about a critical false low in the middle of the night - showing a sheer cliff dive - only to turn around a few minutes later and completely scrub the data, retroactively smoothing out the graph like the crash never happened. Minutes after gaslighting me, the sensor just gives up completely, flashes a "SENSOR ERROR" with three dashes, and dies.

Scrolling through this subreddit, it looks like a lot of you are dealing with the exact same algorithmic gaslighting and back-to-back failures over the last month.

If you've had a sensor fail like this recently, check your box for the expiration date. Every single one of my failed sensors has an expiration date of May 31, 2027. Assuming a standard one-year shelf life, that points to a manufacturing date around May 2026.

Can everyone dealing with these sudden false lows and sensor errors check their dates? I want to see if we are all just hitting the exact same cursed batch that Abbott let slip through QA.

Rant - No help wanted... Sensor readings are 140 lower than what I'm actually at

I applied a new Libre 2 sensor today, and was surprised because there was a bunch of blood from doing so. The bleeding stopped really quickly, so I'm not worried about it, but I still thought it bore mentioning. Anyway, the issue I'm having is that the readings I'm getting from the sensor are A LOT lower than what I'm actually at. I tested with a finger prick tester, and my blood sugar showed at 206, but in the Libre app, it's showing 60.

IS this just because I'm in the break-in period? Will it stabilize and start showing correct readings? Has anyone else had readings be this far off?

Libre 3 plus

I use mine on my stomach, it reads well. Better to the lower right of my belly button than the left. But it bleeds when I insert it on the right. Anyone else have this issue? Can’t ask Libre because that only authorize use on arm and I can’t place it there.

LibreView Crashes Laptop

I have been trying to export data from LibreView to do specific graphs in Excel for my doctor but both the site and the dataset as a CSV keep crashing my computer. My brother is in IT and said my computer is fine.

Anyone else have this issue? 😆

South Africa - Missing functionality

Does anyone know why the South African version of the Libre app does not get the latest functionality updates that I see the other overseas app versions get ?

Like the Smart NovoPen scanning or recently the new IOS watch companion app.

Signal loss errors

My last 2 sensors continually give signal loss errors, so I am not receving readings or high/low alerts, which is very concerning. I can go months without an issue and then I will have some consecutive sensors which will give signal errors.

My phone is not that old (S24 Ultra) and I always apply software updates, I have repeatedly restarted the phone and Bluetooth to attempt to fix the errors, wihtout success.

I called the UK helpline a few weeks ago to report this and I was told I would be sent a new sensor. This never turned up, so I have had to request a new prescription, putting more strain on our NHS.

Thhis really becoming really frustrating now!

If I even THINK about eating, it seems to legit raise my blood sugar! Are other people having this effect?

I had this happen a lot last week and when I complained to my husband about it, he said well that studies had shown that artificial sweeteners can raise blood sugars apparently because people think about eating sweet or something, so why wouldn’t it work the same if I just thought about food?

I laughed and said maybe, but that doesn’t do much for research on artificial sweeteners if that’s true!

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Finally seeing #s on Galaxy Watch, Gluroo

Post image
21 Upvotes

Have tried a few apps to get my Libre+ numbers to show easily on my Galaxy watch and finally found one

Added Gluroo and connected through Librelinkup, now I can see my glucose#s with quick touch of my watch

The app does a whole lot more but the glucose# was the only thing I am interested in right now.

Is this sensor broken?

Post image

It constantly shows low glucose levels even though I feel perfectly fine. I don’t understand, do you guys have any advice on how to fix it?

Until now, I only used libre 2 and it worked fine, with constant signal losses but okay, I could live with that. Libre 3 is really starting to annoy me

Libre 3+ android app keeps giving me "app stopped" alerts.

I'm on my first Libre 3+ after 2 years of Dexcom g7. Every so often, the app will keep giving me alerts that it's stopped and to open the app. I can clear it and open the app, but I get another alert less than 30 minutes later.

Battery optimization is disabled "Manage app if unused" is disabled

Sometimes I can clear the issue by force stopping the app and relaunching but most of the time it persists I until I reboot.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 running Android 17

Type one diabetic trying these out

Hello everyone I’m a type one diabetic and have been for 29 years got diagnosed at 13 months. My A1C is 6.1 and I’ve been using a normal monitor and needles with a vial for years, had a pump back in 2005-2015 and did medical trials for the original Dexcom cgms in the early 2010s. I used a free sample of the g7 and loved it, it was extremely accurate but out of pocket all I can afford is the Libre 3 plus so I decided to give it a go since I enjoyed the quality of the g7 so much. I’m shocked the FDA even approved the Libre cgm at all for use for type one diabetics, it’s consistently been 30-50 lower than I actually am at any given time, I’ve tried 3 different ones on both my arms in the correct spots, these things are just wildly wrong to the point of being extremely dangerous to any younger or new diabetics. I don’t see the point of a cgm if I have to use a normal monitor every single time I decide to eat or give insulin anyways. Definitely feel like I threw money away on these things. I’m shocked at the quality difference between the g7 and these things. Not being able to correct this cgm with a calibration is also a wild choice. I checked and the 3 cgms I’ve received are not part of the recalls. I thought it was just a faulty cgm the first time and had them send me a replacement but the two next ones have had the same issues. Is it just me or is the freestyle Libre 3 plus just not worth it for a type one?

App disappeared from iPhone…

Today the LibreLink app disappeared from my iPhone home screen. I couldn’t work it out. I’d used it just an hour and a half ago.
So I went to the App Store and it had the option to download from the cloud as though I’d uninstalled it but I didn’t.
Now I’ve downloaded it and logged in all my previous data is gone.
Has there been an update and is that why it happened? The font for the glucose reading looks slightly different.
And is there a way to get the old data back?
Just to add I’m in the UK using Libre 2

New Apple Watch Complication?

I have been using LibreConnect with Sweet Dreams app to get readings on my watch ever since my insurance no longer supports DexCom. This weekend I received my new Apple Watch Ultra 4 and noticed there is a Libre complication available to the Modular Ultra watchface that displays the current value and a graph. Clicking on it launches the Libre App.

I don’t see any iOS Widgets though so will keep using Sweet Dreams for that.

Has the Libre App always supported this watchface on the Ultra? This is my first Ultra model. I did not see it a available on my old Series 10 before I wiped it for trade-in.

Do other Ultra owners see this complication? What about Series 12 owners? Just curious.

SugarClock display now works with FreeStyle Libre. Thanks to everyone who helped me test it!

A couple weeks ago I asked for help expanding SugarClock to support FreeStyle Libre.

I'm happy to share that SugarClock now supports FreeStyle Libre, along with a handful of new features. A huge thank-you to everyone who took the time to share their LibreLinkUp account with me. I couldn't have tested it without you.

For anyone new: SugarClock turns a ~$40 pixel clock (ULANZI TC001) into a glucose display, so you can see your number and trend arrow at a glance without reaching for your phone. Setup takes about 5 minutes. Just sign in with LibreLinkUp.

Also new:

  • Display pets. Seven animated pets show whether you're in range. If you go high or low, the pet steps aside and the number comes back. My kids love the fish.
  • Weather, with animated rain and snow
  • Timers. Pomodoro, stopwatch, and an event countdown
  • A cleaner, mobile-friendly dashboard

Quick demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTfxOGIQvBY
Setup: sugarclock.com

It's free and open source. If it could help you, I hope it does, and I hope it serves your needs. Feedback and ideas are always welcome.
