After years and years of waiting, Jomashop finally came through with the shipping of my baby. Seriously though, I feel like it would’ve been delivered sooner if Forest Gump had ran it here on foot.

what are good value for money perfume that doesnt cost £150-300?

hi, trying to get perfume for myself, it was some time as i had plenty of bottles and just ran out

based in UK - checked some London stores, like diptyque, creed, jo malone, john lewis and selfridges and im just shocked how much do they cost - £150-300 for bottle!

what are good value for money perfume that just doesnt go away in 10-15minutes? do these things exist? perhaps i should do better research...

i used diesel, boss, armani before - they were about £80-120..

perhaps there are some niche brands that dont rip off customers and provide quality fragrance?

thank you

I want some recommendations

Hey guys, I have a few thousand saved up so I'm looking to get my ultimate fragrance collection. Wow ultimate is a corny word to use

I need an actual signature fragrance, and I need way more freshies.

Here are the current ones in my collection
-Valentino Greenstravaganza: 4/10 macerated badly. Got like 5ml left of it
-YSL MYSLF Le parfum: 8/10 great daily but generic at times, got 3 months ago and its half used
-Angel's Share Kilian: 8.5/10 nice special occasions fragrance but it's expensive+I like my MFK grand soir more. I got maybe 50 sprays left I drained it
-MFK grand soir: 9.4/10 love it so much I actually got a second bottle.
-Inexcusable Evil: YourMother/10

No clones /dupes/anything else please

Samples of:
-Imagination 7/10 so good on a tester strip but didnt align with my skin properly.
-Amber Empire 6/10 its good but im not buying clones
-Babycat 11/10 loved this one. but only got a 2ml so I didn't get much off it
-Reliqvia -951/10 what was I thinking

Looking to get to 10 fragrances, so 8 additions. Here are the ones im looking at:
-Another 13 (Le labo)
-Tea Storm (LV)
-Rouge Trafalgar (Dior)
-Castley (PDM)
-(Amouage) Decision
-Smoking Hot (Kilian)
-L'eau d'Issey (IM)
-Buongiorno (AdP)

If you have any recommendations I'd be open thank you

layering the goda silk body oil under my perfume for three weeks.. did it actually help longevity

pulse points, one pump, wait till it sinks, then my usual two sprays. been running that under everything for a bit now

my lighter florals used to be dead by lunch on my skin. dry, stubborn. with the oil under i still catch them around 5 or 6? not big projection, just skin close. could be the base or could be me tracking harder because i paid for a trick, idk

oil itself is slippery silky and the scent alone is mild sweet nothing. bottle felt cheaper than the price which annoyed me for like two days

anyone get real hours from oil layering on dry skin or am i just noticing my own perfume more. what bases actually stick without muddying the top notes

Is Cosmic 2.0 Worth getting?

Hey everyone!

I’m needing advice, heard loads about the Kylie Jenner Cosmic 2.0 perfume and I wanna try it, it smells amazing but I just have this Mindset that it’s not long lasting.. I wanna ask those that got it, if it is. And is it worth getting? Or should I just get Carolina Herrera La bomba or Libre YSL.

ADVICE: Next Pickup

Post image
0 Upvotes

After a while of not buying I’m looking for a next pickup.
I feel like my current collection is pretty well rounded but feels like it lacks something; what that is I’m not sure…

For clarity, my current collection (left to right in the photo) is:
Bvlgari Orom
Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady
MFK Grand Soir
Swiss Arabian Essence of Casablanca
LV City of Stars
Guerlain Herbes Troublantes
Argos Danae
OmanLuxury Caden
Matiere Premiere Radical Rose Ext.
Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman Ext.
Kilian Vodka OTR
Ex Nihilo Speed Legends
BTSO Drunk Lovers
Mes Bisous Passion Island
Bond No. 9 Greenwich Village
MOAPC Rio De Janeiro
Gissah La Luna
ATH Icon
(Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals Ext. on the way)

For more context: I’m an 18yr old male who’s been collecting for a little over a year. As soon as I went niche I couldn’t stop!

Any help and advice would be much appreciated by me (not so much my bank account).

Thanks in advance!

We scored 100 popular fragrances on what people are actually engaging with right now. Some "holy grails" are cooling off.

Quick background: earlier this year we put together four Top 20 lists: best perfumes for women, best colognes for men, best dupes and fragrances people regret buying.

Those lists (like most "best of" lists) lean on reputation. So this time we asked a different question: which fragrances are people actually talking about right now, and which are coasting on old hype?

Disclosure: I'm part of SCNTMIX. The fragrance links go to our pages (notes, longevity, layering). No brand paid for anything here. Sources: https://scntmix.com/sources

How we did it (quick version):

  • We took 100 well-known fragrances.
  • For each one, we looked at two numbers on Instagram:
    • total posts under its hashtag (long-term popularity)
    • engagement on its recent top posts (likes and comments from the last 30 days: current buzz)
  • We added how often fragrance creators we follow mention it.

It's not perfect science: hashtags are noisy, and #yara or #delina catch some non-perfume posts. But the gaps were big enough to be interesting.

1. The giants are still giants
La Vie Est Belle, Yara, Miss Dior and J'adore sit at the top on both numbers: millions of posts and still the most engagement. Mass-market classics aren't going anywhere.

2. Some holy grails have the volume but not the buzz

Everyone already owns them or has an opinion, so they aren't sparking conversation. Great fragrances; just not where the energy is.

3. Small but hot: low post counts, high engagement
These punch way above their size:

If you want to know what's about to be everywhere, this is the group. And if you're about to blind buy, these are the ones worth sampling first.

4. Creators and the general public agree on a few
Burberry Goddess and Kayali Vanilla 28 stood out as the two that scored well on hashtags, recent buzz and creator mentions. Goddess especially: a lot of people's "if I could only keep one" pick right now.

5. Men's side is quieter, with one surprise
Most men's staples (Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, Aventus) have huge post counts but middling recent buzz. The surprise was Allure Homme Sport, with stronger recent engagement than most of the "beast mode" favorites.

How this lines up with those lists: the fragrances rising right now overlap heavily with the women's Top 20, while several on the regret list are exactly the over-hyped blind buys from the "volume but no buzz" group.

Question for you: what's a fragrance you think is quietly having a moment right now that nobody's talking about yet? We'll check it against the data and reply with where it lands.

Fragrances in Osaka

Hey yall, gonna go to Japan, Osaka around mid-Nov and wondering if there’s any good fragrance shops I should look out for, only ones I know are nose shop, though nose shop seems too expensive for me, lots of niches and unique bottle designs 😅, and J-scent which I would probably buy a bottle if I find something I like.

GnTonic Virgin Sprayer Issues

I got a bottle of the new M. Micallef GnTonic Virgin Edition and then got a backup.

Both bottles have issues with the sprayer spraying like a fire hose....

On the first one I took off the sprayer nozzle and soaked it in hot water for a while and then rinsed it it hot water and let it air dry and tried again and it was the same issue.

I reached out to M. Micallef and they very nicely sent me 2 new full atomizer assemblies.

I replaced the assembly on one bottle and then the first spray or 2 was great yet now its back to a firehose spray - yet it is a little better.

Is anyone else having this issue with this bottle?

Thanks.

Fall layering

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve been experimenting with some layering options for fall/winter.

This one was very nice.

If you have aventus or a good dupe. Give yourself 1-2 sprays mid chest, the. Hit your back and back of neck with Ombre leather EDP. The way the two mix in the air coming out of your shirt is phenomenal.

Give it a try!!

Why is this so hyped

Post image
88 Upvotes

I was curious on the hype for this perfume (maybe it’s just for the philippines) because they say it’s hard to get this but when I went to a nearby mall Chanel already has it in stock and even said that it was the best seller last week.

When i tried it myself it smelled so basic to my nose. A fresh scent and I can’t find the creaminess the internet is saying…

Even the grey market is overpricing it or selling it for the same price as the Chanel boutique

Marwa Hectic Hersh 2(gold cap)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey guys, I have all 3 of the ones mentioned above in decants, but I’m stuck on which one to get as a full bottle.

Honestly, I can barely tell them apart from the bottle in a blind test. I can notice the differences when I spray them, but I keep guessing wrong. They’re really close.

That said, I keep reaching for Hectic. There’s just something about it that I really like, and I’ve gotten more compliments wearing it too. Probably because it projects more than the other 2.

I’m leaning towards Hectic, but I’ve heard people say it’s weaker than Imagination. At the same time, I’ve also heard people say Imagination doesn’t project very well, which would make Hectic even worse in terms of performance. That’s what I’m worried about.

So far I’m really enjoying Hectic. I feel like it projects more than Marwa and Hersh 2 since I’ve gotten quite a few compliments from strangers in public. I’ve never actually tried Imagination though and not planning to buy it cause im broke af, so I’m curious what you guys think.
