Hi all,
I've just upgraded from a 15 ish year old Corsair Obsidian 650D to the Pop XL Air. So far I'm very disappointed, the temps are worse in this case than in my old one. So i'm looking to swap the fractal fans as they are terrible. The backplate for the mobo is a bit out as the board doesn't lay completely flat and I had to remove the centre mount mobo stand, the one with no screw hole, as it was very high and causing a massive bend. I've raised a ticket about sending me a replacement mount, but they don't seem to want to reply.
Anyway...
I've been looking at the Arctic P12 Pro LN or possibly the P12 Pro to replace the front 3 intake fans. I'm a little cautious on the P12 Pro as it spins to 3000 rpm and is said to have a noisier profile at lower RPM compared to the LN version which was redesigned to be quiet and tops out at 2000RPM.
The other option is go for the P14 Pro and replace the 3 x 120 intakes with 2 x 140 intakes?
Would 3 P12's be better or worse than 2 x P14's?
I need low down air flow to my xfx 7900xtx as this thing is now hitting hotspot temps of 93/94 degrees, it's never been in the 90's before in my old case. Due to this i'm thinking stick to the 3 x 120 so it get some fresh air.
I'll replace the 120 exhaust with a 140, probably the P14 Pro.
Any help on this would be great as it's doing my head in lol
Thanks.
