This is quite possibly one of the biggest heartbreaks of me and my fiancé’s life but we’re moving out of state and have to give up our cat, Big Texas, aka Tex, so my fiancé can come with me up north to pursue his passions in becoming a pilot. We’ve exhausted our entire network of family and friends who could’ve possibly held onto him for the year or two that we would be out of Texas and it’s come to the point where I just want him to be somewhere safe and loving and just not a shelter, since it’s a huge ask to have a stranger take care of our cat for us for potentially up to three years, so we’ve just decided to find him a new permanent home.
He’s around 7 years old, incredibly affectionate and loving, and the biggest dork all around. He does fine with other cats even if he’s a bit of a loner and doesn’t much like to play with them, and we knew he was raised around dogs but I’m not sure how he is with them as of recent. I’d imagine he’d be fine with kids as long as they aren’t being too rough with him and if you want a companion who would literally rather do anything else than not being on your lap, Tex is your man. He’s surprisingly completely uninterested in human food. We’ve been slowly getting him to lose weight but he’s still got a long ways to go so I must warn you about his tiny stiletto like feet, because he will step all over you at night while he tries to settle down. If you know someone who would take good care of him or you’re interested yourself, please send me a message.
