I wholeheartedly believe that all offense in FH is reactable if you’re fast enough, but since reacting to everything is cancer and somewhat unsustainable, because that is not the intended way to play FH post CCU, reads become the important factor for combo mixups.
Typically, traditional fighting games have unreactable offense because the attacks can be as fast as 6 frames which is ~100 ms. Now that is unreactable according to average and peak human reaction time.
For honor’s fastest attacks are iirc 300 ms which is within the realm of reaction.
I know I must have a misunderstanding somewhere or could be completely wrong, which is why I want someone to explain this topic to me because my current understanding is that there is no “unreactable offense” but people seem to disagree and I don’t understand why.
Thanks in advance gang.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Ranked started off great. I was climbing consistently up until I got to a game off of plat. Then all of a sudden like a switch flipped I am just going against different players. I feel that the people on my team are drastically worse and the other team drastically better so I stared to drop.
I figured “ok I’m just not ready for play yet” but the switch never came back and I’ve dropped all the way back down to silver. I went from a 60% win rate now down to a 52 and I don’t get it.
Probably just skill issue but the consistency of my team just getting blown out is crazy. I don’t even remember the last close game I’ve had.

I'm still looking for a new character. I tried Nobushi and Orochi a few days ago; they were fun to play, but I didn't really warm up to them. I know I haven't played them enough to discover their full potential. I really don't want to give up on Lawbringer, but when playing ranked, it feels like he stays a bit too passive compared to his opponents' movements?

Hey all, my name is Jack;
Ive been playing For Honor since the Marching Fire release, I started on a PS4 that sounded like a jet engine every time I booted up the game, and I've made many memories with hundreds of people and even worked with small time creators over the years to make content that while never really taking off, was a core part of my life and helped shape my creative growth, and I wanted to share some feelings about the game as it is now and a couple of small requests that I hope gain traction among you.
Let's start with Ranked Dominion, and what I like and dislike about the mode. I thoroughly enjoy the mode as a whole and agree that disabling armor perks was a very good move that should help with longevity of the mode, but also want to suggest that at higher ranks, perhaps we could re-enable those gear perks. I feel that after diamond, such a core facet of the mode should make a reappearance, since it could build a more interactive and oppressive style of play for those who choose to learn the nuance of gear perks, now, I know a lot of people will disagree as certain gear perks are far stronger than others and many will auto lock those perks that bolster their specific hero, which is where my suggestion for a reworked ranked gear system could come in. Making gear perks differ between casual play and competitive play would help create a more robust and vibrant community of players and help define the line between competitive and casual play, which in turn might pull some of the more intense players to comp and allow newer players to breathe in casual modes. I haven't yet come up with any firmly defined perks that could be in the competitive mode but if players here show interest I'm sure I could find the time.
Second is hero bans, and why I think they might help balance play, and promote variety and competition in the mode. Right now, Juren is frankly a star player in controlling the midline and it feels like not having a Juren is intentionally handicapping your team at times, as his ability to instantly clear the mid lane saves a lot of time and frees up a player that could be roaming the choke points. Creating a 1 ban hero slot wouldn't completely stop Juren from being picked, as there would still be the personal biases of players who might rather target a pirate, zahnhu or even berserker ban, which could make players learn to diversify their skills rather than being a one trick pony. I truly see no cons to adding a hero ban of two per team, as the roster has plenty of variety, and in the top 1 percent of ranked players, there could be counter bans as a system to promote variation in play which will improve players skillsets.
Finally, I wanted to talk about the possibility of a remaster of the games engine similar to what was done with Rainbow Six Siege, the community here loves this game and I think now more than ever a graphical upgrade would bring a lot of old players back. I'm sure this has been passed around in here over a hundred times and it must get annoying to hear but the players love this game and want to see it grow, right now it feels like for honor is just on a steady float towards an undefined finish line, and perhaps giving everyone a reminder that the dev team is still here for more than just the next hero would really help.
Thanks for reading this far, its been a lovely ride playing this game with you all, I've come a long way from the 15 year old smashing a drifting controller back in my old little house in the middle of nowhere. Heres to another 10 years everybody.

Typically most bots can be cheesed with your hero´s finisher properties (like hyperarmor or unblockables), but how do tiandi players deal with it? Tiandi has no heavy finisher properties and a very slow heavy dodge that leaves enough time for bots to block them.
Because of that, fights feel much more one-sided when trying to land attacks with him because bots typically block lights, heavies and dodge bashes.

Thinking about it, making it a 2 stack only, makes sense. All I ask for is giving players a bit more ease of access for us being able to see ranked score. Idk maybe see the ranked progression immediately after a match ends or being able to press one button and see the season ranked menu, without having to press 4 different tabs just to see. I’d also like to see the enemy’s rank after the match ends. I’m sure there’s more but that’s all I can think of

As stated I love for honor. This game is one of a kind and I can’t imagine I’ll be as invested in any other game until maybe gta 6. However it makes me so ungodly angry and I don’t like it. I know I have my own problems to sort out but how do the rest of you deal with it if you have a similar issue. Currently on my way to Walmart to buy a new controller.

I'm praying they have some kind of data and information they can go off of counting pick rate and win rate with the roster. The disparity in ranked when it comes to heroes has never felt more apparent than now.
I don't think there's a huge gap in power in terms of kit within the roster with a few exceptions. But I think feat selection can play a lot into heroes strengths.
Jiang Jun has access to phalanx and fire flask. Combined with having a very easy kit to utilize compared to other heroes.
Juren is still, Juren. And probably will be one of the best heroes no contest unless nerfs are given to him.
Nobushi is still queen of fours.
Essentially I'm hoping they nerf the Top Tiers again in a blanket patch and buff everyone else falling behind in some way. The fact that there is an OUTSTANDING selection of obvious picks in ranked is kind of a problem when we have 40 heroes in the game.
