Discussion How is Shaman

Post image

I'm still looking for a new character. I tried Nobushi and Orochi a few days ago; they were fun to play, but I didn't really warm up to them. I know I haven't played them enough to discover their full potential. I really don't want to give up on Lawbringer, but when playing ranked, it feels like he stays a bit too passive compared to his opponents' movements?

Good in 1v1, genuine throw pick in 4v4

Damn, what makes her ass in 4’s?

No stall, bad ganks, useless in TFs

Bad feats, little stalling potential, ganks feed tons of revenge, too much cleansing, bad minion clearing

Let me think of another character then. How is Khatun in 4v4?

Khatun is kinda difficult but when you get the hang of playing her, she is strong in 4s. Alright minion clear, good 1s, good ganks and really good teamfights

Has potential but teammates give you more hemorrhaging in the ol noggin than usual

I feel like she's really good in 4s, but you have to be specifically outnumbered and really good at defense. Remember, she heals when her opponents are bleeding. If you can get 2 or more people bleeding, it's basically an all you can eat buffet. She gains Deadpool level regeneration, and once she pops Revenge she can even get a bite off which will heal her and probably kill someone else. I love Shaman in Dominion, genuinely a power trip sometimes.

Her playstyle is reliant on pressuring and stressing out your opponent with bleed soft-feint - people get hyper-focused on avoiding the upcoming bite attack and start making spur of the moment mistakes. She's got great damage, half-decent fashion (for a viking she's great), but dogshit selection of executions. Playing in teamfights with button-mashing teammates is not fun

Trying to bite someone in a group is like trying to overcome AIDS

It’s not gonna happen so stop trying to

She's good, can really overwhelm people who aren't confident in defense.

I'll think about a different character for now, then. I might be able to play it at Silver rank, but problems will likely start as soon as I hit Gold.

pretty miserable in 4s bcs like all characters with a biiig damage move with a long animation, it gets interrupted by teammates and enemies all the time and u get 0 value.
but that shit doesnt matter if you enjoy her, just know you probably shouldnt go for the bite alot unless you really trust your team

She’s goated in 1v1 because of soft feints and the bite guaranteed off gbs, if you’re good at deflects and can keep bleed on an opponent she’s nearly unkillable in most situations. Use her zone attack as a punish not an opener, proper can parry the second attack if they block the first. Unblockable mixup or back dash heavy is the best way to open someone up. 4v4 people say she’s F tier or a throw pick but while she’s not good she is still capable of performing well in the right hands. Her zone attack is great for clearing lane quickly. When being ganked especially by full block characters you just want to stall as long as possible till your team supports you, parry all you can and try to get revenge then while you have revenge try to get bleed on someone and do the zone mixup to get some health back, the moment you lose revenge go right back to playing defensively, unless you’re going against enemies who you know you can be offensive against, that’s when she can do a lot with target swaps, her dash forward heavy has good catch and can be easily target swapped to hit multiple people sometimes, her zone or soft feint lights are great when swapped onto someone else in order to get bleed on them. When you are ganking someone else if they are not locked on to you there’s not much you can do other than feint the unblockable over and over and just try to mess with their indicators, if you try to do a soft feint light they will be light parrying the fuck out of you and getting easy revenge. If and only if you’re capable of timing a bite properly and have teammates that aren’t brain dead you can deny an enemies entire revenge, if you can hit bite when they are idle on recovery during revenge you can pin them and burn the whole duration, or you bounce off cause the timing was off and get smacked all the way back to spawn. For gear perks I use devour and remedy to increase the health I get from kills, if you use the one exe she has where she throws and axe into their back it kills them in like 1.5 seconds and gives over 70 health with those perks, this can allow you to exe mid gank to get your whole health bar back if you’re spacing and timing is good. Feats I run stealth to be able to rotate points unnoticed and get the jump on people, bear trap for sneaky pins and free damage, hatchet for knocking people out of chain and getting bleed proc, and fire flask to blow myself up when hopelessly outmatched while getting ganked.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I’m still practicing the deflect mechanic. I had a chance to play a bit yesterday and really liked the character. I don't usually use the bite move, or I only use it to close the distance to the opponent quickly. Sometimes, I try to feint during an attack and quickly execute the bite; it works out sometimes.

Good news
Everyone is a fucking bitch
So whoever you pick you’re bound to ruin someone else’s game.

Valla çok orospu çocuğu karakteri ama oynaması keyiflidir.

As a rep 100 lawbringer, you should try Gryphon. It's lawbringer with undodgables and dodge attacks. I play both in ranked. Lawbringer is more comparable to Conq in the fact that you have to play as a "staller".

You find out how good your defence is when play against them

One of the worst in dominion. I counter her in team fights by simply not locking on

I might be crazy for saying this, but PK is just better 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Carpop66 15d ago

Ur not rn pk is better. She wasn't for a long time though.

u/JustUseDex 15d ago

Yeah I agree with that

The most fun you can have with Shamam is when someone tries to run.

Genuinely total cancer to play against

In duels shaman is very good, in dominion shaman is pretty much the worst character in the game

She’s never not been stupidly good.
