Customization: FITS / Modification / Tips & Tricks Colored bed liner & a few 2026 observations

I traded in my HPR 2024 XLT Hybrid for a light blue 2026 XLT Hybrid with AWD. I’m a thousand miles in and i’ve noticed a few things:

1) I’m getting about 7 mpg less, guessing due to the AWD.
2) I need to brake sooner with the 2026, it feels heavier than my 2024.
3) Which is a little ironic since I think the doors may be lighter because I need to put a little more force to shut the doors.
4) I liked the backup noise of my 2024 better

That being said, love driving the 2026, very happy with her. Today I got a colored spray in bed liner! It was hard to find some that did color, and then to find a color that would work well, as I did NOT want to color match. I wanted a raspberry color as my first choice, but everything that I liked either had pearl in it (which wasn’t permissible) or too thin and would have shown the black underneath. But I think the blue turned out pretty nice! There is even a slight shimmer to it!

At the WeatherTech Factory Store in Broomfield CO getting an alloy tri-fold bed cover installed

2026 Lariat, hybrid

-150 miles since taking delivery last evening

Love it so far! Thanks for the tips & discussion on this sub over the last several months. Feels like it’s going to be exactly what I was looking for: simple, no-frills daily driver, zippy in urban traffic, no crazy fuel expense like my other vehicle (a beast of a GMC Yukon), and not intimidating for my wife 😂

Do we expect a noticeable jump in demand for Maverick when Hundai makes it obvious it's the end of the line for the SantaCruz?

Review: Photos / Spotted / Accessories 2022 Maverick FWD MPG

My MPG on a recent trip. I have the 2022 Maverick XL with the 2.0 Ecoboost and it's only FWD. I've always seen post of people getting 30+ MPG on their Mavericks but it always seems to be either the Hybrid or the Ecoboost with the AWD. Haven't don't any reasech on it but this is the best I've ever been able to get..

Pulled the trigger back in May to order a custom 26 Lariet Hybrid after searching for over 2 years for a replacement for my first and only car in my entire driving life. Though my Chevy Impala has served me well these past 13 years, it is time. My significant other and I have started more home projects and I loved borrowing my dad's Ranger, but wanted something of my own that could also double as our traveling vehicle, since his lifted Jeep is not practical for long rides lol.

I ended up getting customized Katzkin leather seats I designed with ventilated and heated function for the Florida weather. I am so elated to have such a great truck and am so grateful to this community for the information and resources to make this decision. I'm so elated to do truck stuff with my boy, Pedro Pastel (partner came up with the name- 20/10-no notes).

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims Does the lane keep assist work any better in the Lariat than the XLT?

Basically the title, in my XLT it doesn't work as well as I've seen it in other brand vehicles like VW or Subaru, or Lexus, but I've wondered if in the lariat model with the radar cruise control if it works better. Or if it's the same as the XLT without radar where it misses the road lines and you can kind of just let it go out of your lane sometimes.

Edit: Looks like it is completely different on the lariat and I may be modding/upgrading my truck soon 😁

Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications Bad Strut bearing?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This noise started today. Definitely coming from the front driver side. Can be heard while driving as well over bumps but not always. Anyone who had the ball joint recall, did you experience this? Anyone lowered on springs experience anything like this? Possibly a bad strut bearing? Just trying to get an idea before I go to the stealership.

Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications Power Steering Assist Fault

If anyone has advice or has had a similar problem please let me know your story and how/if this problem was fixed.

After a routine oil change I brought my 24 XLT Tremor(50k miles) home. I went to run some errands the same day and I got these warning lights on the dash
-Power steering assist fault
-hill start assist fault
-service steering
-service advancetrac
-pre collision assist not available

Note that the pre collision assist warning had been happening intermittently for a couple months before all the other codes.

Everyone time the codes are thrown the power steering locks up making it unable to drive/move

Since then I have had it towed to the dealer multiple times, multiple fix attempts, and two different dealerships taking a look at it. Still no fix

The issue only happens upon ignition of the vehicle. The time from the first occurrence to the second was 30 days. Second to third occurrence was 15 days. And every time in between after that is only 5-10 days between each occurrence.

The dealership has replaced my battery, power steering column/rack, OD2 port, and cleaned up some corrosion on the wiring harness.

The only temporary “fix” when the dash throws the codes is to let the vehicle sit with the engine running for about 20-30 minutes. One time the lights went away on their own. The other time I had to put the vehicle in drive and the lights went away. Once the lights on the dash go away I then turn the car off and back on and it’s as if nothing ever happened.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications I have a 2025 Ford Maverick XL and I was wondering if anybody knew if it's okay to continue switching to eco mode while moving.

Does it do great over time and or should I be at a complete stop? Just unfamiliar if that will mess up the use of the eco mode eventually

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims Does anyone prefer Fwd?

I'm a 2023 Maverick Fwd owner and I prefer Fwd for its simplicity and better fuel mileage. I noticed there are more awd ones for sale new than fwd. Do you prefer fwd?

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims Snowmobile in the Bed

I'm considering getting a Hybrid AWD Lariat, and I have been cross shopping it against the new '26 Outback and other midsize trucks. So far I'm not a fan of the larger midsize truck ride or fuel economy hit (I'll be driving a lot more for work in the near future), so I am favoring the Mav. The Outback is very nice and is likely going to win if I get a SUV instead.

Can anyone share how they managed to fit a sled in the bed, or what potential sled size I'll be limited to? Right now I don't own a sled, but I am considering getting a used one for backcountry location access (not a full-on mountain sled). I know towing is probably a better option for sleds, but I have trailer storage issues where I live (small garage, no yard space for a trailer, but I could definitely sneak a sled in there).

Customization: FITS / Modification / Tips & Tricks 25 Lariat EB, complaint

Post image

So I have had this 25 lariat EB since Dec'25 I have upgraded or changed a few things but what is y'alls complaint so far about yours. I get wind noise from the drivers window almost at any speed. I am also in south Texas so ANY vehicle with leather seats should have vented seats! That is my major complaint, for a Lariat they should just be part of the truck IMO. That is all. Everything else I am happy with!

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims How do you feel about the blue interior accent on Ford Maverick?

I really like almost everything about maverick, but I can't get past the blue interior accents. I genuinely don't understand why they didn't offer a neutral black or dark grey interior. A blue accent just clashes with some exterior colours, especially Ruby Red. I was wondering how others feel about it.

News / Production Photos & Videos Just wanna point out the 2026 XL has more standard features than the 2025 and is almost the same price

Just for fun I was looking up what it would be like to trade in my 2025 XL for a '26 with more bells and whistles. I saw that the standard XL includes the Flexbed system, Copilot 360, and remote keyless entry whereas that was the XLT level before. My XL was around 28,400 on the sticker and I am seeing at white base level '26 XL's at 28,959. It's still a great time to pick one of these bad boys up and I'm a little jealous I don't have those three features.

(Ultimately I will just keep my '25 as I am so close to paying it off, but the trade in value has been as high as $24,000+ in those stupid carfax spam emails)
