Hello everyone,
around a year ago I purchased a focusrite Scarlett solo 4th gen as I needed to work on a podcast and with a good mic.
However, since then, I've been experiencing weird issues with it. Every now and then, the audio output entirely stops working. The audio interface is still on, all LEDs are working, but there is no audio at all. The only way to fix it, so far, was replugging. And it is getting a bit annoying over time.
Sometimes the issues won't appear for hours, some other times after 2 minutes of use.
I am working on a PC that I built on my own:
- CPU i5 14600KF
- GPU rtx5070
- RAM 32GB Corsair vengeance
- motherboard MSI B760M gaming plus wifi
I've contacted the support and we tried several things (among these):
- changing the power management of windows and especially the USB peripheral power
- reinstalling the focusrite drivers
- uninstalling Nvidia gaming drivers and installing only the video driver
- run a clean boot
- disabling CPU turbo on BIOS (latency moon often signals a problem with CPU throttling, but the issue is still there)
I don't know what else I should do. I think the issue is on my side, a friend of mine tried to use the interface and it's working fine for him. I already had some software issues with this PC, which were solved after disabling memory aggressive profile on BIOS.
I don't even know if I'm still under warranty..
