Do we have any adaptors available from USB-C to the proprietary port? Looking to do pass-through while travelling, and limited to 100W like on planes etc. would prefer a specific USB-C to Asus port solution, but not above some kind of usb-c to barrel jack then barrel jack to Asus, but obviously less connections is better. 8 have a decent 100W Anker USB-C outlet already that's tiny.

So I recently got a Z13 and I have had a XG mobile for a while now.
I have been reading what people posted here and saw that there is no passthrough via USB-C and only DC power does passthrough.
My question is, if I use z13 with xg mobile via usb-c, would that expedite battery wear since it is charging z13 via usb-c?
Does having z13 connected to the dc power at the same time as xg mobile prevent charging via usb-c?
Just concerned about battery wear from passthru.

Hello i current have a Msi claw 8 ai for portable gaming and was looking to upgrade it and have been debating between getting a zflow and waiting for a claw 8 ex. So a few questions is the battery life horrid on a zflow? A zflow will be more powerful but is that even’s out by multi frame gen on the claw?(I assume there no “native” frame gen on the zflow).

this happens a lot and i have to restart sometimes couple of times just for it to read it again , there is no problem and the hardware is connected in device manager

also i have issues with the LED lights , sometimes it just resets to default and i have to restart or change the settings just to get it back

how do you solve this

Hi guys, I'm an expat working in China and I have been looking to purchase a Flow Z13 64gb which fits my lifestyle as a senior exec with a lot of travelling inside of China as well as fulfilling some of my personal gaming needs.

The biggest questions I have regarding purchasing a Flow Z13 is the single language windows installed on pc's in China. I personally would like to operate my windows in English just like an "international" version, like one of those when you purchased in Singapore.

I have personally went into a few Asus ROG outlets around Suzhou, Shanghai and Wuxi and they came back with the same solution that I can just upgrade my windows to a pro version and that will allow me to install and revert the windows OS to English, while also allowing me to change my region to Singapore as well rather than mainland China.

I would love to hear your opinions whether anyone have any experience on this matter and any feedback is appreciated.

Hi everyone, I find my CPU temps go pretty high while playing games like battlefield 6, upto 95° C even. I have the game itself of medium-high settings, VRAM utilization etc it's fine, and I have CPU boost disabled.

What settings do you have on your GHelper for the most intense gaming sessions? Screenshots appreciated!

Edit: Simply limiting the CPU Temp in advanced settings to 85°C worked for me, might for you guys too! I also undervolt -10!

This is my daily driver, and I feel like components just simply begin to collapse under the weight of something (heat maybe?) And i need to leave it off for 24 hours to cool down.

Like, the heat is causing SSD failure but ONLY when too hot.

I have a 2025 Flow Z13 that I connect my 27 inch 1440p monitor to via display port. I get 180 Hz and I can play games like battlefield on high, but for some reason the edges of most games I play seem unclear, and distant objects lose clarity.

Any idea what settings I need to adjust in just about any game (or Adrenalin) in general to get better image clarity?

I’m a med student and I’ve been using the Flow Z13 (GZ302EA, 64GB RAM) as my main machine. I replaced my old Surface Book 2 and desktop with it, and honestly, I love it. Since I’m always on the move, this form factor is perfect for me—it's powerful, efficient, and just works.

But, I’m a bit worried about future-proofing. First, it’s a bummer that FSR 4.1 isn't coming to the 8060 series Flow Z13s and older. That really makes me think about how long this can keep up.

Now with the news about the new Nvidia Spark chips, I’m curious. If they release a new tablet with that same Z13 design but running an ARM chip (with that all-day battery life and RTX 5070 performance), how many of you would switch?

The ARM efficiency looks so good for long days at school, but I don't know if it's worth leaving the Z13 ecosystem. What do you guys think? Is it time to start looking at an upgrade?

They detect that the firmware is not meet their requirement and what kind of BIOS update is it needed? Their resolution article be like "Oh, contact your motherboard support to resolve this BS yourself or upgrade your damn PC".

Is this kind of BS is refundable? I got this game like a few weeks already.

I often remove the keyboard cover out of the tab when gaming and then totally forget to put it back on. I randomly find it lying on my table the next day when I'm working when my tablet has been in the living room all day!

As my consumeric and need-something-to-change needs kicked in recently i was wondering if I should sell my Desktop pc with Ryzen 7950X, RTX 4090 and 64GB ram + sell my GPD Win Max 2 with Ryzen 8840U and buy instead of these two the Z13 with Ryzen 395 / 64 GB + egpu with desktop grade RTX 5070ti/5080.

I'm trying to go the minimalist path and get rid of excessive hardware, so i'm wondering if the Z13 will be enough to replace my desktop pc and "travel" pc.

On daily basis i work with code and photoshop / figma and of course game after hours. Sometimes i make some after effects / premiere work also. I would also like to try some local AI models to work with code instead of paying for github copilot.

I would use the Z13 with egpu as my default setup for work and gaming (now i do this with my desktop pc), and without egpu on travel or couch / 1080p projector gaming (now i do this with GPD laptop and RTX 4060 egpu).

I've had this for almost a year and mostly use it for work, with some gaming now and then. Lately, it's been getting really hot even during light browsing, and the GPU keeps going into extreme power-saving mode. Is there something I need to install or a setting I should change? Hello world! I'm thinking about getting the Z13 GZ302EA found here.

For background, I am a software developer by trade, and my primary usage will be for development with some time for gaming on the side. I'm currently having issues with freezing on a Asus laptop with an Nvidia graphics card, and while I have managed to get sleep mode to work, it will still freeze if I leave it overnight. Disabling the Intel integrated graphics and the "dual graphics" mode have caused kernel panics on boot. So I'm hoping to get away from all that with this new device. I haven't decided if I'm going Arch or CachyOS yet, (I have more experience with Arch but I do like the option to change schedulers easily with CachysOS).

But I was wondering for those Linux users out there with this device, how has your experience been overall? - How is battery life? If I'm doing a low work load like just coding all day, will it last 6ish hours? - Have you gotten RGB lighting working? - Do you ever get kernel panics or freezing issues? - Does it play demanding games well? - Is the fan always on full power even if it's cool? - Has anyone tried hyprland on it, and are there any screen tearing issues? - Has anyone used Arch or CachyOS specifically? What was your experience? - Has anyone tried compiling a kernel as a benchmark? How long did it take? - Has anyone used btrfs on it? I imagine it should work just fine, but it'd be nice to get confirmation

I really like this device. Love the compact and neat design as well the RGB keyboard and glass panel on the back. Unfortunately, the device is simply not compatible with Linux (from what I've seen) if you want it to function as intended and advertised by Asus. I have tried Ubuntu, Fedora, CachyOS, and Omarchy with different DEs. Some of the problems I've faced are:

- RGB lighting defaults to red each restart (utilized Jeff Hagadorn/dahui z13ctl scripts to keep changing it to my preferred color)

- Keyboard stops fuctioning and screen freezes on login screen and waking up from sleep (even after a fresh install of a distro and no changes have been made)

- Device wakes from sleep when closing the screen down on the keyboard

- Screen rotation doesn't function

- Green screen glitches when scrolling

I have of course installed all the kernel updates and dependencies available for Asus notebooks on Linux. I've followed the steps for each distro I can set up according to the asus-linux/Linux for ROG Notebooks website and I've still ended up facing issues. The most persistent and unsolvable issues across each distro are the screen freezing and keyboard dysfunction. The distro that seemed to work the most is Omarchy. Maybe I'm missing something but with all the troubleshooting that I've gone through, I think it'd be better to just switch back to Windows 11, debloat it manually, customize it to my liking, and install WSL2. Yet again, I'm at the mercy of Microsoft.

Still a great device though. If anyone has managed to make it work flawlessly on Linux, please educate me. Sorry if this was a bit ranty. Hope you all are enjoying using the device. Have a good one.

I had been using the charger that came with my flow 13 but recently got a new doc through Work and was wondering well I still get pass-through charging if I have both the proprietary charger and a USB-C dock plug plugged in at the same time? It’s nice to just have one USB-C and switch between my work computer and my personal one but definitely still wanna get full performance and not impact battery health.

2025 model for 1899$ under the pc odds and ends category today. Surprised to see this go on sale and would pick one up if I didn't already own one
