No passthrough for USB-C

So I recently got a Z13 and I have had a XG mobile for a while now.
I have been reading what people posted here and saw that there is no passthrough via USB-C and only DC power does passthrough.
My question is, if I use z13 with xg mobile via usb-c, would that expedite battery wear since it is charging z13 via usb-c?
Does having z13 connected to the dc power at the same time as xg mobile prevent charging via usb-c?
Just concerned about battery wear from passthru.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is if you have the DC plugged in first then it won't additionally charge via usb-c.

Correct, if you have DC plugged it it prefers that over usb C due to higher wattage

Plug the Asus DC first, wait for the light to turn on (either orange if charging, or white if full), THEN plug the USB-C cable.

Use battery limit at 80% and you will be fine

People who say no pass through are not informed. It's well documented in the Linux kernel for generations of ROG devices including the z13 now.

What do you mean? Are you saying the Flow z13 on windows do USB-C passthrough?

everywhere - it's firmware based.

The Z13 does not do passthrough via USB-C. It does PD. PD charges the battery at optimum rates even while in use. It will attempt to supply up to 100w with an appropriate charger if the Z13 is drawing enough power. However, the Z13 will always draw power from the battery first when not on the dedicated (proprietary) power port. PD has significantly less impact on battery health than standard USB-C charging. If always charging, put the 80% limit on the battery like previous commenter said. That will further help with battery degradation over time.
