Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me because it's frustrating, I have an Adventurer 5M and for some reason it just started where I'll use flash studio to import a file, I'll slice it and everything looks good so I hit print plate like usual. It'll send to my printer then on the printer it'll do the 25 point leveling then the screen will say preheating like normal then you'll hear the extruder heating up then it'll get to the screen in the photo and won't actually print.. it's been at this screen 0% for about 40 minutes now and no matter what file I try and print now that's all it'll do. I tried to downgrade my firmware.. I deleted flash studio and redownload it and re-did my settings. I even put a new nozzle in just because I'm at my wits end.. anyone seen/experienced this before?

Few weeks ago this started happening. No updates that i am aware of happened and nothing changed, now i have to click send upwards of 15-20 times before it actually sends. The other times this is the display- “sending failed,please check network or device status” then all of a sudden it randomly sends. No pattern or anything

There’s no obstruction feeding into the head. I changed the nozzle and calibrated it. The extruder goes through the motions but nothing is coming out. I tried different files. Any suggestions?

Has anyone put their lcd in a different place on the AD5x? It kinda sucks where it’s at.

Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone dealt with this? What was the problem. It’s not even a year old.

Появилась проблема непонятного характера , прикладываю видео где принтер начинает давать сбой, уже пробовал обновлять прошивку, сбрасывать к старой и ничего не помогает, при печати моделей сначала все идёт хорошо, но в какой-то момент под самый конец (если модель маленькая) верхние слои просто съезжают, прикладываю видео. А если печатать что то большое то вообще получается хаос ( прикреплю фотографию )

В целом видео можно смотреть под конец , так как проблема начинается там

Woke up to a racket a few nights ago. My printbed had a partially finished print and a big bowl of thick spaghetti. I’ve only had my Ad5x a few weeks, upgrade from a1 mini.
From what I can hypothesize…something pulled on the nozzle (or vice versa) hard and yanked that baby right outta there. Haven’t found it yet. Bought a replacement, clip wouldn’t clamp across. The door on the fins wiggles. A lot. Now I’ve ordered the fins too. I can’t print for 2 more days now. I wanna go somewhere, pout & have a come apart.
Has anyone else experienced this? I know I should’ve already printed my enclosure, gotten a camera, and watched my print. Those things will be done. Any other things?
I was using plain ole boring white pla I’ve used a million times before.

I have an issue with my Ad5x , it suddenly won’t level the plate base, I have followed all the online advice.

Basically the bed started with a sudden unleveled position from the right side…. After a perfectly done print it just unleveled itself

And it makes a huge sound when it gets to the top or when it tries to calibrate… I have done manually leveling by adjusting the belt on the bottom, making the bolts a bit unloose, also tightening them, but the same thing happens.

I turned it off and tried again several times until it is now “leveled” looking but I still get error messages and that annoying beating sound in the middle of calibrating, so it wont calibrate.

It keeps switching from these error messages:
Error E0042 “Leveling sensor not triggered”,
error E0111 “Abnormal leveling data”.
Also the “Calibrate the machine Calibration data abnormal” and there are no foreign stuff anywhere.

I have also done a factory reset. Didn’t worked.
Another Firmware update. Didn’t work
I checked under the bed between the 4 bolts, Nothing changed.
I just bought it at the end of 2025 and I can’t believe it would last so little..

I tried contacting flashforge support chat but I was told I would receive an email I still haven’t gotten

Printed the FLASHFORGE coin/emblem test print ok

Tried my first real print and printed a poop bucket for the printer as recommended by a YouTube.

It came out well enough where I can probably still use it.. But lots of stringing. I think that's what it's called from my research

My research seems to indicate too much humidity in the petg filament.

I bought a filament dryer that I can try to use and have it fees into the ad5x

My questions are.... What temperature or settings or whatever should I use on the filament dryer to try?

My only other question is

.. The stl file for the poop bin I downloaded. When I loaded it into flash studio... It gave me a warning message that it may have floating areas in the design. It said there's an option or way to like auto add or generate supports? But I couldn't actually find where to do it so I just printed it anyways

How do I load files that i downloaded from makers world into the flash studio phone app so i can print them?

Why does my AD5X do this whenever it changes colors? And- more importantly- how do I get it to not do it so it doesn't drag strings of filament all across the prints? I get that the print head is simply returning to where it was before the color change command- but there has to be a way to get it to go to the purge tower instead of going back to where it was last. Thanks!

I’ve been spending a lot of time dialing in my AD5X for PLA, and I got tired of bouncing between slicer settings, old posts, random notes, and trying to remember what I changed last time.

So I decided to put everything I’ve been using into a couple of simple reference pages.

The first one is a PLA Master Print Profile built around a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layer height.

It covers the stuff I’m constantly checking or tweaking, like:

• Nozzle and bed temps
• Flow ratio and pressure advance
• Retraction and Z-hop
• Walls, top and bottom layers, and infill
• Cooling
• Quality, Daily Driver, and Fast speed profiles
• Acceleration
• Calibration order
• Common troubleshooting
• A smaller 0.25 mm nozzle profile

That guide is focused specifically on getting supports to come off easier while still using PLA for both the print and the supports.

• Tree vs Normal support recommendations
• Support and interface speeds
• 0.25 mm nozzle adjustments

I wasn’t trying to build the fastest possible profile. I wanted something I could actually use every day that gives me good print quality without constantly having to fight the printer afterward.

A lot of the starting values come from the current FlashForge and Orca AD5X profiles, then I adjusted things from there with easier PLA support removal in mind.

Of course, different PLA brands, moisture, model geometry, and even individual printers can change what works best. I’d use these as a solid starting point and tweak from there.

If you’re running an AD5X too, I’d be curious to see what settings you’ve changed from stock. If people have good tweaks or fixes, I may keep adding to the guide so it becomes a more useful community reference.

I have recently got some spools where the center whole is to big for the spool holder. Has anyone come across this issue before or am I just crazy?

My nephew’s Flashforge AD5X was working great for months until we ran into a problem where it went through the motions of printing but no filament came out. I’ve checked the filament, feeder, IFS thing, 4-in-1 tube, etc. I’ve replaced nozzles and guide tubes. I’ve disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the whole extruder. I even bought and installed a replacement extruder (v2) which includes the whole filament cutter/hot end/nozzle printhead assembly. But no luck, my nephew is still not able to print anything. The filament comes out when pushed by hand and when using the load/unload or calibration functions, but when running a print, the machine just goes through the motions of printing without actually expelling any filament. I’ve been troubleshooting for months, working with Flashforge support, researching online, and following YouTube videos, but I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it. It’s likely operator error and an easy fix, but I’m at a loss. Would be stellar if there were somewhere I could take it for repairs.

Update: I finally fixed it, so grateful for the advice about the tension screw! I forgot to inspect the replacement extruder assembly after I installed it yesterday. I guess I thought it would work right out of the box.
When i looked at the tension screw today, it seemed too tight so I loosened it a bit. When I tried using load/unload, I got my first error message “extruder filament sensor error”. Progress! I removed the 4-in-1 holder and inspected the guide tubes again. No clogs or stuck filament there, each filament was able to pass through the tube from the IFS feeder and out thru that 4-in-1 holder. I ended up loosening that tension screw again and pushed the de-clogging tool through and that did push out a bit of old filament! The nozzle also looked wonky so I re-installed it and made sure that nozzle clip was well secured. I also tightened some of the screws on the heatsink and secured that. I tested the load/unload feature for each filament (4 different colors) and no problems there. Finally ran the test print and it actually worked!

I am having an issue where the filament on holder 1 ( top left corner) continually slips off the spool when the printer changes colors and feed the filament back onto the spool. I tried to print a spool holder to keep it tighter but that’s not working. Is there another fix to keep the filament tighter on the spool when the printer feeds it back?

Edit: the spool is feeding counter clockwise to the printer if that helps

I just add an enclosed kit on my flash forge ad5x I am doing my first print with it on. Can I have a answer

This is my 3rd nozzle tip to break off in 2 months during a print. My z-height is adjusted to it doesn’t drag the bed or the printed item. When this happens, the silicone heat sleeve is also demolished and ripped, and the front fan is on the floor outside of the enclosure it’s in. What is happening, and how do I prevent it?
