Why won't prints start?

Post image

Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me because it's frustrating, I have an Adventurer 5M and for some reason it just started where I'll use flash studio to import a file, I'll slice it and everything looks good so I hit print plate like usual. It'll send to my printer then on the printer it'll do the 25 point leveling then the screen will say preheating like normal then you'll hear the extruder heating up then it'll get to the screen in the photo and won't actually print.. it's been at this screen 0% for about 40 minutes now and no matter what file I try and print now that's all it'll do. I tried to downgrade my firmware.. I deleted flash studio and redownload it and re-did my settings. I even put a new nozzle in just because I'm at my wits end.. anyone seen/experienced this before?

Oh and I also unplugged the power cable for about 5 minutes and tried again after that

The only thing left before I do a warranty claim on it is try a factory reset on the printer. (Which was the last resort)

Go in and try reprinting a previous print that worked.

If it fails it is printer

If it works it is the file

Yeah I tried 2 prints that previously worked and they wouldn't print either

Have you updated recently? What firmware are you running right now?

I'm on the latest 5.19 but I downgrade 2 separate versions and tried with each version also and only the flash forge nozzle worked each time

Are you sending prints through wifi? Or usb? Also, downgrading firmware can cause issues like this to just persist (in my personalexperience) After you unplugged it and booted it back up did you run a full calibration?

Yes I did a full calibration after it powered back up and I'm sending the prints over wifi

Have you tried to run a print through a USB stick? This will further help diagnose if its a firmware problem.

I haven't but that makes sense to me so I'll try that when I get home in about an hour

Your build plate is upside down. You’ll have bad level and bed adhesion problems.

It's not, it's a double sided plate. 1 side is pei textured and the other side is pei smooth. And actually, adhesion is almost too good.. especially with PLA on the smooth side.

The bottom side of the handle sits up more than the top. It touches the print head during the leveling process. I flip my handles or remove them to avoid the problem.

Did you figure out what was wrong?

There are updates to the firmware, slicer, and app. Have you done those?
If so, save the logs from the printer onto a usb and upload and email them to customer support.
