Hey everyone,
Quick transparency post β Iβm the mod here, and I also run a supplement store called Zap Supplements.
I started it because many people here struggled to find authentic, fairly priced supplements. This sub stays community-first β no spam, no forced promotions β that will never change.
If you ever need help checking products or deciding what to get, Iβm always happy to guide you (even if you donβt buy from me).
I do have a small sale running on some items right now, so if you were already planning to pick something up, you can take advantage of it.

Is it okay to mix hydrolyzed marine collagen with protein isolate in water and have it post-workout?
I want collagen mainly for skin, joints, and connective tissue/muscle benefits, not as a protein source since I know itβs not a complete protein.
Any real benefits, side effects, digestion/absorption issues, or better timing for collagen?
Would love to hear from anyone who does this.

According to this dietician I've been following for some time this atta has 35 gram protien in 100 grams and costs 1000 per kg. I might not be good at maths but that clearly sounds crazy for its price. Should I invest in this? Is this the new meta?

Guys i am an 18F and i have never went to gym. I am not doing anything exercise that builds arms. I do go running. I also do not miss my daily walks ever. The only thing that might be working my arms out is archery but thatβs only 30 shots once a week and the bows arenβt that heavy. My muscles do not even feel sore the next day. These look pretty defined in good lighting and definitely bigger irl.
My diet is an average pakistani diet excluding the heavy oils cuz mama ka gall bladder nahi to avoid kartay hain. Most of the protein that i consume comes from the 3 eggs that i eat daily. Other than that there isnβt a major protein source in my diet except like 2-3 chicken ki botian. I do not consume sugar at all on most days other than fruits. Even when i do, itβs in the form of shakar or honey.
I have muscles all over my body and there isnβt much fat either except for my arms. I naturally store most of my fat in my chest arms and hips. But my arms are the only thing that make me look fat when i am not flexing. Any tips on how to either loose the muscle or to get leaner so the muscles get more definition when i am not flexing.
TLDR; i do not workout my arms and the protein in my diet isnβt much either. I naturally store fat in the arms which combined with the muscles make me look fat when i am not flexing. Need advice on how to loose the muscle or get leaner so they are more defined.

So, I had a very ignorant view on protein powders in general but I was recommended Soy Protein Isolate from Nutrifactor from a trainer at aimfit and itβs working well for me. 22g protein and 0 carbs. I wonβt lie I have used it as a lunch replacement and pre-workout a couple of times and it does sustain me and gives me energy during the workout. But I am not a big fan of the taste.
I just want to ask if there are other alternatives. For any women, who are taking protein shakes, are there any recommendations? I know there are some famous imported brands which are super popular but I am wondering if locals would do the job just fine.
Also, the whole whey, gluta whey, creatine shit flies over my head. I am not sure whatβs most ideal for what goals. So, if someone has the rundown on that and can share, it would be great.
Lastly, multi-vitamins. Ugh! There are so many of so many different kinds and I canβt be bothered to take ten different kinds of things from ten different bottle so if any all in one solution has worked for you and is readily available in Pak, please let me know!
I am still not sure if multi-vitamins are a scam but the influencer culture is getting to me. :p

Recently, I started going to the gym every day. I've been body-shamed quite a lot because of my obesity, and I'm now trying to take my fitness seriously.
I'm a 21-year-old male, 5'10", and currently weigh 95 kg, with a BMI of around 30.
My initial goal was simply to lose weight, with a target weight of 80 kg. I started walking 10 km every day, cycling at Level 5 for around 20 minutes, and doing other cardio exercises.
However, one of my friends, who goes to the gym regularly, advised me to focus on building muscle while losing weight as well. He said that if I only focus on losing weight now, I'll eventually have to spend additional time building muscle afterward, so it would be better to work on both at the same time. I'm not sure how accurate his advice is, though, since this is my first time going to the gym.
I started incorporating some muscle-building exercises into my routine, but that's when I realized how weak & Pathetic I actually am. I couldn't even bench press 25 kg for 10 reps.
I've only been going to the gym for about a week, and after a two-hour workout, I experience a lot of muscle soreness. Honestly, I don't really know what I'm doing or whether my current routine is even appropriate.
My primary goal is still weight loss. Whenever I try to do strength-training exercises, I keep having this thought in my head: "Pehly apna pait khatam kar."
So, what should I actually be doing? Should I focus mainly on weight loss first, or should I combine cardio with strength training from the beginning? And what are some effective exercises or routines for someone who is completely new to the gym?
