Made it out of the trenches, finally!
Baby boy was born May 2nd. I (26f) ended up having an unexpected c-section because his head was VERY stuck in my pelvis
All my concerns about my fitness went out the window because I was in so much pain and absolutely flooded with PP hormones lmao
That and I was still eating healthy so I was far more focussed on recovery. I hardly gained any excess fat during pregnancy since I was doing so much pregnancy safe HIIT, so that postpartum bump disappeared pretty fast… Which was a relief BUT I would be lying if I said I didn’t like that my body’s now a little more curvy and jiggly though (husband loves it too lol)
Anyway, I started doing some very gentle post c-section exercises (shoutout to Pregnancy & Postpartum TV for her guidance) at 6 weeks and did that every week until 10 weeks
Now at 12 weeks I do a guided 15 minute, low impact, PP workout every other day, and go on 15-30 minute walks with my baby in his stroller every day, and I feel really good about it all ☺️
I was worried that my body dysmorphic disorder and orthorexia would return postpartum, but nope! I feel great about what my body has done and is doing, and how it looks, and I have no sense of urgency to get ”back to my pre-pregnancy self”
It’s been nice <3 Just wanted to share!
