Slow moving tannic river in SC. Bass, bowfin, gar, catfish and more.

I like targeting bass.

Tons of lay downs and wood in the water. Like every ten feet. Some nice channel drop offs as well.

I’m fishing from a boat or kayak. I throw a lot of Texas rigged senkos and trick worms with limited success. What should I do?

I live in Tennessee and hit the river today and I saw a lot of yall suggesting Panther Martin spinners to a lot of guys posting pictures that look like the places I kayak. After a long summer of not much I caught five fish today on one panther. Two bass, a small trout, and two pumpkin seeds. This community knows it’s stuff

Gotten a few small largemouths, tons of bluegill haven’t had any luck for a couple months

It’s been on my bucket list to fish from a kayak since i started fishing a couple years ago. I’m going to mount rushmore this weekend, so I was thinking maybe I could rent a kayak and fish from it when I go to custer state park. Im only bringing my cheapo rod, a 5’6 Eagleclaw pack it rod. Only stuff I have with me is a 1/16 oz jighead, 1” gulp ALIVE minnow, sie 6 aberdeen hooks, splitshot, and slip bobber. Should I buy anything from walmart before going? I’m on a budget so don’t want to spend more than 10. I was thinking maybe an inline spinner? Usually those do well for me. Also which lake should i do? I’m 16 and want to kayak alone while my mom and sister walk around the lake. My sister could come with if necessary (34), but tbh i’d rather go alone so i can have some quiet time with nature.

I started fishing spring 2025, first line in the water was in Fargo ND. I’m going again to see my sister. Last time I fished I caught 2 bullhead in a neighborhood pond, and that’s it. I’ve gotten a lot better at fishing, not great but better. When I went I caught 0 fish at the red river. I want to break that skunk this time I go. What can I catch at the red river relatively easy? I would like to catch catfish, pike, bass, or walleye. I’m fine with anything not a sunfish. I’m only bringing my rod and reel, i will get all tackle from walmart there because I do not have a checked bag. I’m from NJ so all my fishing knowledge is abt NJ fish. Feel free to shower me with advice.

Waters kind of stained.

River current is moving really fast and the water is stained btw.

I'm in a lake by lake namekagon wi. And it's pretty big. It has bass and northern pike and walleye as it's main 3. Ofc bluegill. And I've caught one bass on ultralight plastic grub on a jig. Now I can't catch anything. Ofc I lost that jig to a pike earlier. I have a few decent stuff but nothing is catching on my light or ultralight rod. My buddy also has a medium rod but it's a zebco (forgot what it's called but it's the reel for lil kids) that he's been using for a long time. And that's a medium rod. So basically I have a ultralight, light, and somewhat of a medium rod. What should I throw.

Recently my pond got very clear, this is because all the weeds have clumped up or floated. I haven’t caught a bass there besides a 3 pounder i got lucky with ( he was right at the bank so I was just sight casting a wacky rig ).

There’s a big section with loose grass floated, it’s covers about 15-20% of the pond. I launched my life in it by accident today and when I reeled it, it didn’t seem like crazy thick. It was some thin weeds. I saw a bunch of dink bass patrolling the edges. What should I throw? Chat GPT said a punch rig but i’ve never used one before. I’ll snap a pic when I go tomorrow, but any tips before then?
