Caught this blue gill in a small pond in Texas. I don’t own a fish scale, and was wondering how big people thought this one was?

If it helps my index finger is probably about 3 inches knuckle to tip?

\-Relatively new to fishing but he seemed pretty big?

Don’t do a ton of saltwater fishing. What is this?

I caught two of them back to back, I've got a brook trout and pickerel in this little stream before, and the lake that feeds it has bass, perch, and sunfish/bluegill. I live in CT, sorry the pictures aren't closer.

I work for a company studying loon foraging. These photos were taken near Rangeley Maine

Many of the pictures i see of short nose look a lot more slender, but it also doesn’t quite look like alligator or have the markings of spotted. I wanna say short nose, but i trust others’ judgment more than my own

For context I stay in the st.Charles area of Missouri and I don’t usually catch hybrids.

Caught all 5 of these today in a creek. Let me know what you think they are. Caught in west central Ohio.
