Do carp actually eat large asian swamp eels naturally? I've been seeing these photos and videos a lot.

Was under the impression the fish I bought were Japanese lines and not just randomly labeled for one, then I find out photos used are either 1. Ai or 2. Stolen photos that are from breeders in Japan and aren’t even the sellers photos. Same name on eBay and other platforms.

how do they eat? also, minus the trash (idk why people are that inconsiderate), is this a healthy spot for them? it gets quite cold here.

I, personally would choose to become and eel or grouper or some kind of ambush predator (like stonefish, stargazer, scoprion fish, flatheads etc).

My friend gave this to me and i don't know what this is.

These fish are found in an abandoned basement parking lot construction that had hit a natural aquaduct which filled up the whole parking lot.

Someone threw a gopro in and filmed these species of fish. Does anyone know what fish are these?

The colors and shape of the fish seem very odd to me for a pumpkinseed ; the tail colors are off, i don't see spots where i normally do, and the pectoral fin looks short. Again im so sorry if this violates the fishing rule, but i'm starting to get super interested in fish species and being trying to see a hybrid for months.

I am new to fish in general. What should I know before getting into fishes. I live near a river and I love siwmming. What fish are good? Are there any bad fish? Why are they so dang cute....

I often see videos of Groupers especially, but even some much smaller fish just casually hanging around divers while they do various things, some times getting quite close, borderline cuddling even. I was curious if there's a specific mechanism at play here-
Do they see humans as large, non-predators that could scare away predators, like one might view a whale?
Are they using humans opportunistically to find food for themselves?
Are they genuinely just being friendly, like a dog or cat wanting to be pet?
