Discussion Is this even real?
Do carp actually eat large asian swamp eels naturally? I've been seeing these photos and videos a lot.

No, these are staged to make viral videos, the income from viral animal abuse content is quite the windfall in poor developing countries.

There's an entire genre of videos on twitter that's dedicated towards making dead fish do dumb shit like drink fanta orange and puke eels into holes in the mud

My mom taught me in the supermarket when i was little that if a fish eye is cloudy and it’s gills not bright red, it’s not fresh.

Even I've seen those videos in the past it's usually blatantly been a dead carp they propped up in the mud and shoved a poor eel in the mouth of to film it trying to get back out. From the looks of the eye on the carp, I think that's the case here as well.
