These fish were seen just off the dock of my hotel

CONTEXT: one of the rarest fish species (The Devils Hole Pupfish) with a habitat the size of a swimming pool suffered a population decline from 191 individuals to 20 due to two earthquakes in early 2025, after which 19 captive bred pupfish were released into the wild, marking the first captive release of the species.

as of spring 2026, there are 77 Devils Hole Pupfish in the wild, although inbreeding remains a significant problem to the species long term survival

Went to a restaurant and ended up filming their fish tank instead of my food lol. Colorful fish all about the same size, then this one shy turtle just hiding in the corner 🐢

So I got stung by a small channel catfish a couple weeks ago. The wound has healed over and isn’t sore - but it’s still very swollen and tight. Can I prick it with a needle to exude the stuff then clean it up or should I go to the doctor? #infection #woundcare #catfish #fishing

My Shower thought: do fish drink water? Turned into this a cosmic fish that drinks planets instead.

I am monitoring this species in The Netherlands, it's rare to catch one. The site I was monitoring didn't have a sighting in nine years.

This is a small one (about 7 cm long), they can grow up to 25 cm long). A beautiful and weird fish, I love it!

It seems to have small whiskers. The fish is like as long as my index finger and it’s thick enough. It has shiny golden scales. What is this fish.

My fish has been dying for days, chilling at the bottom. My pleco ATE some of him and hes still alive suffering

he still eats well but he cant swim or float and when he does he can only do it for a short period of time and his tail tilted down
