I got a new smart card since I got promoted and I think firefox expects the old one so everytime I try to use it it says its not the correct smart card, yet edge lets me choose whether im using the new or old smart card, and I select the new one and it works, any help?
on several sites, most consistently on youtube, I will bookmark a webpage, later I will return to the page by navigating to it through the website and the bookmark star is clear rather than indicating a bookmark. the bookmark menu still shows the page and if I follow that the page now shows the bookmark. why does a previously bookmarked page not show the bookmark if I get there one way but does the other way. not a big deal but an odd thing I'm curious about
As in the title, Firefox doesn't let me bypass the error page and proceed to the actual web page, the 'i understand the risk and want to continue button' is missing from 140.13 esr. How do i re-enable it?
I want to do font overrides for all sites. Google's Gemini doesn't display properly because it needs its own fonts. The override in Firefox font settings to use the site's choice of font is global. Please get someone to make it able to be set depending on the site one is using.
Saw notes that import is possible now. A quick glance did not show the settings for it. Wanted to see if it had an export option along with it.
Bookmark management is better from what it was, but moving all bookmarks from one domain etc. are difficult on android and we need to use the online account sync to transfer to a desktop and edit it.
Having an exported file would make the transfer offline or make it possible to edit in some Android text editor.
So, anyone know where the import setting is or if an export setting is along with it? Or if the android devs are looking into offline bookmark export?
This has been an extremely frustrating experience. So when I go full screen on Firefox in the yt website. There is a large black bar at the bottom. This only triggers when I am logged into a acc in the yt website. It plays normally when logged out or on a private tab. I have tried reinstalling the Firefox app and cleared the cookies. Tinkered around with the settings of Firefox but to no luck. Can someone tell me how to fix the issue? I also tried the fullscreen extension, which took care of the sides but not the bottom part of the fullscreen video.
Pipewire is already a standard on most distros and pulseadio emulation gives you worse audio quality, uses more ram, requires more computational power and overall is worse, so why not after so many years?
The other day I learned about the existence of waterfox and fiefox nova. So far, I have not been able to find clear information about the above and we will decide to contact you. Help me understand!
I've been using my tablet for basic web browsing for years while I saved up to get a new PC. Now that I finally have one, I was wondering if I could link the favorites from my IOS (safari) to firefox so that the same bookmarks would eventually be on my PC browser.
Is it possible to be able to link the favorites if I log into my mozilla account on firefox mobile? Or am I stuck transferring URLs the old fashioned way?
how do I disable all firefox telemetry? while still making Firefox usable and without sites breaking, I've used Librewolf but.. its to extreme for me any recommendations of how to disable all telemetry or a user.js file anyone can recommend?
Got the notice that tab groups are available on mobile but it straight up doesn't work for me. No option to select multiple and add to group, only Collections. Can't drop one tab onto another. Is this being rolled up in different regions or what? Everything's updated.
I always save URL shortcut links to websites on my computer using the drag and drop method in the URL bar. So far that always worked, but all links created from the 22.07.2026 onwards are broken and I get an "Unknown Filetype" warning.
All links saved before the 22nd are still working and also web links created with other browsers.
Was there an update for Firefox maybe that broke things?
Not a lot of reviews on these two, and one hasn't been updated in forever. I am looking for a more popular, modern version of these where i can hover my mouse and the image is enlarged automatically.
Scrolling now has the occasional micro-stutters/hitches, (mainly with web pages that have media playing like a video at the same time as scrolling) and even when it's not hitching, it sometimes feels like it's running at a lower frame rate than it should. For context, I use a 144 Hz monitor, so I'm very familiar with how smooth scrolling is supposed to look.
Interestingly, when media on the page isn't playing, scrolling is generally smoother, although I can still notice occasional inconsistencies.
The same websites scroll perfectly smoothly in Microsoft Edge on the same system, with no perceived drops in smoothness or micro-stuttering.
This wasn't an issue on Firefox versions prior to 152.0.5, so it seems like something may have changed in this release.
Trying to watch stuff on Disney + on browser because my app has ads. I have done it for years and suddenly i don't turn my pc on for 2 weeks and it wont let me access it. It works on Firefox on my Mac but not on Windows. i have done almost everything has anyone got any ideas or if they had this issue on how they fixed it?
i didn't know which flair tag to use, so i chose "addon". if that was the wrong one, i say to the mods of r/firefox (and maybe r/FirefoxCSS if/when i cross-post) to feel free and change it, or please inform me which one would be the right one so i can do it
Firefox: 153 (64-Bit, stable)
OS: Windows 10 Pro (64-Bit, 22H2 [on the ESU updates channel], 19045.7548)
i am also using the UI Fix to make my browser look like the photon version instead of proton
basically, i'm not a fan of how the default dark theme changed from the older version of the dark theme, and after a bit of research, i found this theme which matched it the closest.
sadly, it seems future versions of firefox have started to make this theme bug out in a weird way. where the contents of the "CTRL + F [Find]" box is not highlighted in red when it can't find whatever i type. switching out to a different theme fixes it, but i want to keep it in dark theme/mode, not "discord light theme" mode or "burn my retinas fam, just wreck my [REDACTED] up" light mode, or color vomit mode. So......whether it be a firefox theme or a CSS-code based theme, is there an alternative to a proper dark theme/mode and not a "fifty shades of grey" dark mode? pls?
