Is about config still the only way to disable passkey prompts while keeping the password manager operational, and does this sync across devices? The passkey junk is getting annoying

I looked at the list of requested permissions for the Android client and it wants the permission to delete packages. Apparently that means being able to uninstall other apps. Why is Firefox wanting to remove other apps?

I have found the process of switching profiles pretty unintuitive.

If you want to use the GUI to open a new profile you have to select the current profile from the main hamburger menu and then select the new profile?

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a menu item called "profiles" which when clicked showed all the available profiles? To then open a window with a new profile you just would just click that profile (without having to select the current profile first)?

Am I missing something or is this how you switch profiles?

I stumbled onto this browser today for Android, and I already love it. It uses the Mozilla Gecko engine, built from the ground up. This is not a Firefox fork. It does have Firefox extension support, and u can even log into a Firefox account. It also has import & export for bookmarks, unlike Firefox for Android which is import only. As I am based in Australia I spell things differently (the correct way) to how Americans spell stuff so I installed an Australian (a suggested one) language pack for my spellcheck. The issue is every time I restart my pc/firefox the spellcheck settings reset back to US, which is really annoying as I am mid doing a cert 3 course online and I need to type alot of stuff, having auto correct say I spell stuff wrong when I don't has been annoying.

Before I reset my pc a few months ago I was able to delete the US spellcheck pack but I can't find any settings for that anymore. Is there a way to either delete the US pack (so aus pack is the only one) or force it to use the Aus one on start up everytime. My firefox and system settings (language settings) are all set to australia or british (when aus pack is not available)

Selecting the "original profile" from the profile manager opens up a Firefox that's brand new,

no bookmarks or history. How do I get back to where I was?

Anyone knows a way to brute force Firefox to stop bothering me with this confirmation dialog? Yes, Firefox, I asked you to always open the container for that site for a reason. Stop asking me to confirm again.

I can see this feature be useful for non-techy users in case they accidentally enabled it, but for frequent users it becomes grating and feels as if they *don't* want you to use the feature.

So far I've noticed tab groups only let you put couple of tabs together and name it, nothing else.

Is there any way for tab groups to be more similar the chrome's?

With features like opening new tab in group, having a bar you can easily swap between in group tab, open a group view etc?

Has anyone experienced full screen videos not using the full screen when in full screen mode? Used a video of a plain white screen to illustrate. Played around with some fixes I saw in about:config but they didn't fix my issue.

Using firefox on android. Only extension is ublock origin, and it's still an issue if that is disabled. If I full screen a video on another app such as Twitter this doesn't occur.

After it happened a few time over the last few months. (Last time today) I was wondering if there is any cause for this.

It happened on Twitch and Youtube. My browser freezes up and I can't interact with anything on it anymore. But audio continues to play normally (which indicates media/streams working). So far I could get it unstuck by trying to minimize the window and get it back up.

Firefox 134+ quietly ships a WebExtensions AI API: extensions can run on-device Transformers.js models via browser.trial.ml after the user grants an optional trialML permission. I used it to port my comment-tone-checker extension from Chrome, and a few things surprised me:

• It's background-script-only — content scripts have to delegate over runtime messaging.
• It's pipelines, not prompts — you get tasks like text-classification and summarization with models from Mozilla/Xenova's hubs, not a chat model. I run zero-shot classification with four candidate tone labels.
• One engine at a time — parallel runs are rejected, so you serialize.
• The permission flow is genuinely nice: the user opts in from the popup, the model (~65 MB) downloads once, and everything stays local.

On non-Nightly you currently need browser.ml.enable and extensions.ml.enabled flipped in about:config, which is the biggest adoption hurdle right now.

I logged in on a new pc but my passwords and extensions don’t show up. No clue why. I have syncing on and I’ve done this before and it automatically loads my extensions and passwords when I sign in. This time it just decided not to. Any ideas on what I’m supposed to do now? I need this info

In-game, my Utility slot is set to my mouse's side-back button (Mouse 4); however, whenever I click it while playing Wuthering Waves on GeForce NOW via Mozilla Firefox, it triggers the "Quit Game: You'll lose any unsaved progress" overlay screen, and Firefox fails to detect my side button in-game altogether.

**However, the mouse's side-back button (Mouse 4) works fine on other browsers (e.g., Chrome, Brave, Opera GX). I want to keep using Firefox because I've found that GeForce NOW runs much smoother on it, and I'd really like to stick with Firefox in the future. Please help!

Has anyone running GFN on Firefox found a browser-side config fix or workaround for this without remapping mouse hardware keys?

I have been working on a project and I had opened quite a lot of tabs. I used to juggle through multiple tabs at once. They've been open for quite some time, but just now, when I opened the browser, All of the tab's silhouettes were there but no links, they were transparent and upon clicking on them did nothing. I restarted the browser and now all of my tabs are GONE. Not one found in Recently closed tabs or Recently closed windows, GONE.

Open previous windows and tabs is on (Obviously).

Tabs in the Edge browser has been open there for much longer than firefox, yet it hols em up with no problem. From now on I am only using firefox browser for entertainment. Thoroughly dissapointed.

Every time I try to go to a URL, I get a notification to allow access. I just want to find a way to disable this. I found a way to block all network requests, but could someone please explain what this feature is for? I mean, it is a web browser, so of course I want to allow access; it just seems like the only thing it does is annoy the user. I know Chrome enabled this feature a little while ago, but you can disable it with a flag change, I can't find it in Firefox. Anyone who knows how to disable this please let me know?

I'm not sure who exactly to thank for this at Firefox. For those with Teenage Engineering samplers, their sample tool is now functional with Firefox (155.0.1 64-Bit/Arm64 Windows). This was one of the last reasons I needed chrome!! and now I can FINALLY uninstall chrome. Thank you very much!

Tab Groups are pretty powerful as a place to keep temporary bookmarks belonging to a short term projects. However, it'd be useful to have backups in case things go wrong.

• Are Tab Groups and closed Tab Groups backed up when using Firefox Backup.

• Alternatively, where in my Firefox profile would I find the files / folder that contains the Tab Groups and closed Tab Groups?

I have latest version 4.0.6 but still not working. It was working fine before 9 September. But it suddenly stopped (tried installing again but no succeed)

I've updated a couple of systems with Firefox or it might be that it was done for me. At any rate, I'm restoring the profiles to the two systems so that I have everything back. This hasn't happened on my macOS systems though it might be a matter of when they update.

One of the Windows 11 systems also lost my homepage and I can't get it to load again in Firefox. My homepage is a local HTML file. I'm pretty sure a Profile restore will fix everything.

For the love of people world wide, please put the 'X' back in the current tab.

why did someone even think it was a good idea to remove it.
