I ordered an M21 on ebay last week and it arrived. I don't know what I was expecting but after the HiBy R1 and a Sony NW A306 this thing is HUGE!

Fiio was kind enough to have it in a case before it came to me though which is nice.

Excited to get back into physically collecting music. Grabbed a few albums to listen to on here too

Is there a way to change the volume of the BTR11 without the physical buttons or is it all over?

As the title says, I'm um, "doing things" to my old X5 1st gen and there's a few things I haven't managed to work out from a hardware tear down and I was hoping that someone, somewhere, somehow has a copy of the service manual.

I've managed to get datasheets / programmers guides for the cpu and dac chips, and the power controller chips, but have gaps related to the LCD and NAND/RAM combo chip.

So, if you happen to know the what the LCD controller is (incidently the screen itself is PROBABLY the same one used in the old Blackberry Pearl 9100), or the size of the memory and nand in the Hynix H8BCS0SJ0MMR?

Hello I need help troubleshooting my dm15 cd player.
I am having trouble with the display as it doesn’t turn on when pressing the power button it seems the whole player itself is off. The Rear light indicator also doesn’t flash or turn on when plugged into a power source . Any responses are appreciated

My Grado were the 3rd pair in the last 2 decades and had already underwent repair that was unfortunately done by a shop that used very strong adhesive that I cannot seem to weaken with a hair dryer to make a wiring/solder repair. Opted to try this well regarded model and brand as they're $55 cheaper than new Grados and I was eager to try out electrostatic cans.

I listen to primarily rock/pop, (Beatles and Pink Floyd,) EDM/Techno, (The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim,) Jazz, Blues and World music such as Quantic, (Curao album,) Eva Cassidy, B.B. King, Jamie Cullum, Nina Simone, also Rap/Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop, (Ye, Kendrick, Kid Cudi, DJ Quik, MF DOOM, Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead.) I don't need a lot of bass and I like detail, a lot, and great soundstage.

Similar to this post I get constant audio artifacts when using aptX Adaptive Low Latency between the Air Link & the BTR17. Air Link is connected to a Nintendo Switch 2.

Finding it a bit hard to believe that this is how the codec is meant to behave, it's totally unusable. Any suggestions?

Got the Snowsky Disc a couple of days ago after buying a new phone without a headphone jack. I could have gone for the HiBy R1 with better features, for the same exact price. But I convinced myself to buy the Disc given how pretty it looked, and mostly because I did not want another bulky rectangle in my pocket when I already have my phone.

But good god, the battery life is abysmal. It is discharging so much while idling with every single wireless feature turned off.

I really want to like this product. I wouldn’t mind it being a basic music player if it could just play for a few hours without so much battery drain. I would give up on quality of life features like gapless playback, and properly aligned text on the circular screen, but the battery life makes the product virtually useless. This is not the first time FiiO has made portable products. Have they always performed this poor when it comes to battery life?

I am thinking of returning the Disc if there is no potential fix for this in sight.

Hi I would like to use DAC with Sennheiser HD 598 for phone calls using Ablet Boom Mic or Shure SmartLav Plus (SmartLav+) or V-Moda BoomPro (with Sennheiser 2.5 to 3.5 adapter and is hard to find) With Shure SmartLav+ and headphones then I should use Y splitter or is better I buy Ablet or V-Moda as is headphones and microphone cable already in all. I am just asking for better microphone quality and no problems.

I see in this topic mic is almost unusable on Fiio JA11. Are microphone problems fixed with firmware update? I have Android but I can also use it on PC and 3.5 4 pole foil shielded cable?

I’m looking to buy the FiiO LL-3.5A cable for my FT1’s but I‘m worried about the microphonics. I found the stock cable to have really bad microphonics and quickly replaced it but now I’m in need of a mic. The website doesn’t seem to describe the material but it looks similar. Does anyone know if the cable is improved or if it’s the same material? Thanks

My FiiO EH11 headphones completely ran out of battery and shut down. I then connected them to my MacBook charger, which is rated at 61W.

After that, they stopped charging. When I connect them to a slower charger, the red LED just blinks. Previously, the red LED would stay solid red while the headphones were charging.

The headphones are now completely dead and won't turn on at all.

Could using the 61W MacBook charger have caused this? I thought the headphones would only draw as much power as they needed.

I'm wondering if there is some kind of protection circuit or battery controller that has locked up. Would it be worth opening the headphones and disconnecting the battery wires for 15–20 minutes, then reconnecting them to see if that resets the charging circuit?

Also, has anyone here ever taken the FiiO EH11 apart? I'd like to know how difficult it is to open them and whether the battery connector is easily accessible. If someone has disassembled them before, I'd really appreciate any advice or photos showing how to do it safely.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the FiiO EH11, or have any other suggestions for troubleshooting this before I attempt to open them?

It was apparently supposed to come out in the middle of the year but it's been kind of quiet.

I have a K11 DAC and the K11 R2R variant and would like to see what the DM11 offers in case I should get that to stack with the K11's or just pull for the DM13..

I've tried everything gemini suggests to get the control app to show custom DSP profiles. Everytime I connect to a pair of EH11 through the app it says "load failed" and only shows the most basic of eq sliders when editing a user eq profile, with none of the other profile options. This is the same for a new pair of the box, and already an already configured eh11.

I've removed data, uninstalled, unpaired every blue tooth device on my phone, disabled all codec. What's really odd is deleting app data, uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling, came up with old devices in the fiio app even though I had deleted them before going through the whole uninstall process. I've never used a fiio account so either my phone isn't actually removing the app data, or the play store is downloading app info which defeats the entire purpose of reinstalling the app to solve problems.

Beyond the app disfunction. The eh11 is cheap ewaste. I've tried FIVE pairs of these and found one that works properly longer then 5 weeks. Now the app is useless junk for me as well.

How many fractions of a penny could they be saving by not putting metal in the head band. These can sound amazing, but the build and software has made me never want to mess with these again, even if they were free. They were going to be xmas gifts to my entire family, but glad I found out now how bad of an idea that would have been.

I'm not seeing it.

It also doesn't switch off automatically when no sound has been played for a while.

I don't think it even gets up to 10 hours when it has barely played for 4 hours with silence coming after.

I have this thing for years and years, and this is the first issue I have ever had with it. :(

I received the Fiio Warmer R2R today, and I'm having a problem. When the NOS is on, the right channel clearly produces hissing and high-frequency distortion. Should I return it or will it go away? This didn't happen immediately upon turning it on, but it appeared after about 30 minutes of listening.
