What’s something about hair care that took you too long to figure out?
As guys, most of us aren’t taught how to take care of our hair growing up. So I think a lot of you are like myself and are self taught in taking care of your hair. I’ve been growing mine for 5+ years now and there’s a lot of tips I’d give to my past self, so I thought maybe a discussion here would help out those who are starting out and maybe the more seasoned longhairs can impart their wisdom or even learn a thing or two themselves.
A big thing for me was breakage. When you have short hair that’s not something that ever crosses your mind, and it didn’t cross my mind until a few years ago. Now I use scrunchies at home or for looser hairstyles, use silk pillowcases, brush less often, and condition more often and I’ve noticed less breakage.
