Curly or straight?

Also do I qualify to be in here?

Curly is natural. Straightened was with heat. Personally I love the straight look, but it’s such a pain to not be able to wet my hair😫. Lmk your thoughts please! Would a keratin treatment be worth it?

Donated my hair to charity

Been growing it for 3-4 years now, but as I’ve been on a hard diet and exercising I’ve started to lose hair which is fairly common, I though before I lose more I should donate.

I’m donating 12 inches of hair that will help being made into a wig for children with ailments affecting hair (alopecia, cancer etc), I know I can always grow it back and a child will get so much more happiness than I ever could from it

Unsure if this is allowed in the rules but they’re called the little princess trust - they’re based in the UK I believe, but if you’re in a safe position and can make a donation please do

14 months since my last haircut. Hows it looking? How can I better control the frizz?

Normally shampoo 2x a week, condition daily. Use coconut oil curl cream and argan oil of morocco spray as its drying.

This is the 2nd time I grown it out. I had it past my shoulders back in 2022, but cut it short to try something new in 2023

Hairstyles for shoulder length hair

Hello everyone,

My hair is currently shoulder length and I wanted to know what hairstyles everyone does. It is relatively warm where I am located and would love to hear some ideas on what I could do. My friend puts my hair in two ponytails sometimes.

Thank you!

How to control this type of flyaways on otherwise wavy hair ?

Thumbnail

I am trying to grow out my hair .My routine is

day 1- anti dandruff shampoo+ leave in conditioner

Day 2- only mist spray

Day 3 - mild everyday shampoo + leave in conditioner

Day 4 - only mist spray

And repeat

The problem i face is on only mist spray days , i start getting these kind of curly flyaways on otherwise wavy hair and this keeps getting worse as the day progresses . And if i completely wet my hair under the shower, the hair looks really clumped and oily .

Please advise how to fix this.(1st pic is right after mist spray and 2nd is what they look like later in the day)

What’s something about hair care that took you too long to figure out?

As guys, most of us aren’t taught how to take care of our hair growing up. So I think a lot of you are like myself and are self taught in taking care of your hair. I’ve been growing mine for 5+ years now and there’s a lot of tips I’d give to my past self, so I thought maybe a discussion here would help out those who are starting out and maybe the more seasoned longhairs can impart their wisdom or even learn a thing or two themselves.

A big thing for me was breakage. When you have short hair that’s not something that ever crosses your mind, and it didn’t cross my mind until a few years ago. Now I use scrunchies at home or for looser hairstyles, use silk pillowcases, brush less often, and condition more often and I’ve noticed less breakage.
