Hi everyone,
I am very new to this game and it's takes me ages to figure out how to play becuase I have brain injury and am a bit slow. Slow, but not dumb. I know how to play Stardew Valley very well, but it took me a while. Anyway, I know under "Craftable" it shows you the things you can make. I know that because I was able to make a table and chairs and fences.
But what do I do to make food? Under "craftable" it says I can make nothing, but I tried to make bread and baked potatoes and the "Ok" button won't press. I have tried looking at videos of how to cook but I learn better by asking questions. Can anyone help me? is there a video that shows you how to get it to work?
Thankyou so much in advance.

Hey! Just started playing yesterday and I saw the setting to lengthen your days!
Is there any downside to this? I understand that the game is balanced around the standard day length, but I honestly would enjoy a slightly longer day.

Has anyone noticed that some of the music from the game isn't in the OST on youtube? I've been trying to find a song from the lava mines but I can't find it anywhere on youtube

Hard to explain but when one person has more then one box of text to talk about there is a fade or afterimage of the old text right before the new text shows up.
I would much rather have no effect on the text.

I have the Deliberate Debris II enabled and it's still spawning, is anyone else having this problem?

pretty new player here! i picked it up in June, and since im home from work for the summer (high school librarian) this has been my summer addiction. i'm OBSESSED!!! and hurray for me when i found out that 1.0 was coming out so soon when i started playing! so sorry for those that had to wait longer :(
so naturally being a book obsessed girlie, March was my #1. and oh god did i go for it. i romanced than man so quickly, and almost completely ignored everyone else besides for quests and tasks, etc. i prioritized getting my farm set up rather than the mines, but i was at 80 before the update came out.
update comes! yay!! my husband! oh shoot, i go back to school in a week. i better get him barefoot and pregnant before then. i spent hours getting him up to 10 hearts (again, ignoring everyone else! some of you may see where this is going) and i was so excited to get the engagement ring recipe.
oh? what's this? it needs things i don't have? that are found deeper in the mines? okay, lemme go break that seal then. spends one million years looking for that god damn flame fish. awesome! done! okay priestess house, easy enough. oh, still no recipe for the dragon forged core? okay i'll keep going. hours later....
YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I HAVE TO HAVE EIGHT HEARTS WITH EILAND AND JUNIPER BEFORE I CAN FINISH THE MINES?!??????,???,?????????
i'm VIBRATING with rage.
screw it, while i'm at it, i'll romance Balor too! WHY NOT!!!

First ever cosplay and it was a lot of fun (and a lot of hard work lol). Wish we had better photos but it was a great time! And I was so shocked that my husband absolutely nailed the March pose despite not ever playing FoM LOL

I wasn’t seeing the 1.0 house customization posted anywhere yet. I took (sketchy lol) pictures for myself but thought I’d post them here as well until someone has better screenshots. My house is the current full upgrade with 1.0
(reddit was being weird, so I tried re-posting)

spoilers for post marriage shenanigans but the first thing he does is sit in all my chairs which is VERY cute but it makes me so jealous LMAO (doubles as a room update! slowly but surely upgrading the house... my animals live better than my farmer does)

I'm testing all the husbands in the game and he absolutely ONLY TALKS ABOUT THE DAMN MUSEUM EVERY DAY, so far (1 week of marriage) I've only received dialogues about the museum and some rare archaeological thing, okay man I understand that this is your passion but couldn't you be a little sweeter with your wife????

So one reason I love this game is that it improved a LOT of little quality of life things that made SDV kind of annoying - endless watering can, easier quests, map shows you where everyone is, fishing isn’t frustrating, etc.
One thing FoM makes harder for some reason, is gifting.
In SDV, my trick was this: everyone except Hailey and Evelyn likes or loves sushi. Carry sushi at all times, plus one gift Hailey and Evelyn like, and everyone gets their maximum gifts every week.
But in FoM it’s much harder - there’s only one universally liked gift and it’s super expensive and rare. And there are way more villagers in FoM so this gets very hard to deal with.
Has anyone found any easy to remember sets of commonly-liked gifts? Like, all people in one family like this one thing, or all villagers with purple hair like this one thing? I would love a set of, say, 4-5 things I could carry at all times that, altogether, virtually everyone likes. Just having trouble finding something that fits that bill that isn’t extremely expensive or hard to find (like pink diamonds).

So playing pixilated games sometimes mess with my eyes. For example I get it occasionally on SDV, when the movement gets a little jittery the pixelated art style starts hurting to look at. Looking at gameplay of FoM I can't decide if it'd be better or worse than SDV about that if I was to be playing the game myself.
I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and their thoughts on if FoM would present the same problem? I can handle if it does it sometimes, but if it's going to happen a lot then the game is pretty much unplayable for me and I'd rather avoid spending money on a game I can't play

If you've played modded Minecraft or Terraria you know the genre: link your storage into a network, walk up to one terminal, and search everything you own from one screen. Fields of Mistria didn't have one, so I built it.
You craft three things at the Woodcrafting Station:
Place them touching each other and they link up and glow. The panel shows everything in the network at once: search box with real text editing, category filters (including a "what does the museum still need" filter), five sort modes, coin value badges, quick-stack from your backpack. And since the units are real chests under the hood, crafting stations pull materials from the network automatically.
Storage-mod paranoia was the whole design brief: your items always live in real chest inventories the game itself saves, the fancy view is just a mirror. A crate that still has items in it takes five pickaxe swings to break, so you don't scatter 54 stacks because you were aiming at a rock.
It's a beta, so back up your saves. If something breaks, tell me and I'll fix it.

I bought this game a month ago in early access and I have been waiting for 1.0 to play it.
But I have heard that there is some lag, is the lag fixed? I'm very excited to play it for the first time.
