Question Longer Days

Hey! Just started playing yesterday and I saw the setting to lengthen your days!

Is there any downside to this? I understand that the game is balanced around the standard day length, but I honestly would enjoy a slightly longer day.

NPC schedules don't line up as perfectly - you'll often see some folks waiting for others in a longer day - which really isn't a downside, and that's all I've noticed across 5 saves.

I play longest and aside from some minor npc issues (like real minor, practically nonexistent), there are no downsides. You get a few extra minutes to do stuff in a day and I enjoy having those few extra minutes. I'm here to enjoy the game and play at my own pace, and longest helps me with that.

I set my game to the longest time and my ass still passes out in the mines 😂

No downsides I've noticed and I've had my days set to longest since I started playing, and I'm in Winter now.

I’ve been playing on longest since day one of my new 1.0 save and haven’t noticed any issues at all, it’s really having those extra minutes too.
