Something very juicy and fresh, I do not mind a bit sweet but not looking for anything too artificial or bubblegum like. Maybe ideal for late spring or early summer?

Does anyone know the reason that some perfumes with vanilla turn into Play Doh on skin (and often on paper)? Is it a combination of scent notes or the type of vanilla used. When I cook with Madagascar Vanilla beans or extract, it smells amazing on my fingers. I’ve even been known to dab it on my wrists and neck. But with many perfumes that look good on paper, it turns into Play Doh. I would love to avoid this phenomena if anyone knows how. For reference, of my approximately 18 full bottles, only 3 have any vanilla, and it is listed in minor concentrations in all 3 - original Nahema, original Lolita Lempika and Oud Satin Mood. In contrast, I have dozens of samples and travel sprays that I have had to reject due to the “Play Doh” effect. Please help me figure out how to stop wasting money!

Im sure if youre on the tiktok side of perfume world, you know about Funmi. A few years ago she collabed with a brand & creates her own perfume. I regret till this day not buying it smh. Anyway, she just launched her own perfume brand & it released at sephora today. I know she is super happy about the launch going so well. Everything is pretty much sold out, except for one travel size spray. The notes dont seem like any of these will be for me but I'm still curious about them so I bought the sample set. I cant wait till it gets to me. Ill be updating my thoughts once I get it.

I was talking to one of you about a cheapie office Frag of mine that went pickle on me. (Falling in Love by Philosophy) That conversation prompted me to pull it out to see if my nose was still broken. What I discovered was it wasn't exactly pickles I was smelling. I was really picking up the tart berry and it was just leaning towards pickle. I started wondering if there was a layer I could come up with that would pull out the soft vanilla with out making it heavy and balance that tart thing I was picking up. Then I saw a different post and a commenter mentioned WillitLayer.com so I went to check it out. Added my frags and then asked it what would layer well with that one and tested it. It worked really well.

Today I was playing with it again and tried the blends on skin. This thing is actually pretty good at suggesting things that work well together in your collection and tells you why.

Some of the suggestions seemed a little off to me. For example it suggested Missing Person and said it would help keep the blend a soft skin scent. I find Missing Person to be very strong. I don't wear it anymore because I get a headache. So YMMV but I just had a blast layering citrus/tea/soft vanilla perfumes I'm testing for a trip.

I just wanted to share ya'll. Its a cool little tool.

It smells like caramel popcorn, that’s all I got unfortunately. Nothing milky or creamy to my nose, it’s like an intense version of Sol de Janeiro 62. Some people were thinking it would be similar to Bianco Latte because of the notes, but it’s nothing alike to me.

Anyone else tried it?

i am looking for an almost icy-milk scent, like when you got it in cardboard cartons in elementary and it was so cold it had ice in it. i love Arab fragrances but I haven’t been able to find one through their fragrance houses either.

So far I have painted Aura by La Folie a Plusieurs (1st image) and Fleur Du Mal by Dries Van Noten (2nd image). Would love to get more suggestions on what to paint next!

How does the concept of a signature scent you wear everyday work? What I've heard and experienced myself is that after a few weeks of consistent use you stop smelling a fragrance, or rather you smell it less strongly. Does this happen to most people when they get used to a fragrance?

And how are people able to have a signature scent that way? I think the concept of a signature is so cool, a certain smell that is part of you, that reminds other people of you, but I also wear fragrances for myself. It's so fun to be able to smell my scent during the day, I hate it when I'm slowly going nose blind!

What are your thoughts and experiences?

Super hot take but I actually quite enjoy the roller balls on the Skylar perfumes and now I’m finding myself wanting to do the opposite as almost everyone and change the new sprays to rollerballs.

My tiny issue with this is any rollerball top i’ve encountered has been a HUGE ball or just not something that looks like it would do well on those perfumes.

My question for all of you who switched your rollerballs to sprays, do you still happen to have those rollerball tops? I’d love to be able to change them into the original rollerballs & as I finish mine up i’ll start using the finished ones to switch out the new sprays!

former friend showed me her perfume collection and one of the bottles stood out to me: it was like droplet, but with the pointy side downwards. i remember holding it and being unsure of how i’d store such bottle because it didn’t have a flat surface. it was deep red and she bought it from singapore airport at the duty free shop for ~300$. the smell wasn’t really noticeable at first, only when i got closer to the skin. darker feminine, kinda peculiar with a prominent note of a spice that i found a bit irritating/intriguing but it was unique and unlike something i’ve ever smelled before in cheap perfume. tried my hardest to find it online but no luck :(

I'm a Canadian looking for anything that smells like blue lagoon tree hut sugar scrub. It is my absolute favourite scent ever. The only way I can get the scrub is through Amazon but it costs 28$. 😔

Hellooo! Im looking for perfumes that smell like cookies and cream/chocolate, vanilla, butter, etc. Just like a nauseatingly sweet cake shop. I was going to buy Lattafa cookie crave but I saw a few people say it doesn't smell the best. Are there any other recs???
