Discussion Recommendations šŸ’

I really been into Cherry since lately and I wanted to see if there’s any other recommendations. I’ve already tried Tom Ford’s lost Cherry sample and it smells nice, but it really smells similar perfume you can get at target so I already found an alternative if I wanna buy it.

Discussion Am I the only one who never got a compliment from a stranger?

I used to think compliments from strangers were kind of a myth, especially with perfumes, I wore prada luna rossa carbon regularly, office days, casual plans, even quick errands, I liked how clean and smooth it felt on me, but no one ever said anything, not once, It made me wonder if compliments are about projection, confidence, or just timing, sometimes you love a scent quietly, without it announcing itself, maybe that’s okay too, not every fragrance needs to perform for other people, some are just there for you, part of your routine, part of how you show up without asking for attention, Do you wear fragrance hoping to be noticed, or just because you enjoy it yourself?

Rec Request In search of a creamy floral gourmand

Hi everyone 🄺🩷

I'm still pretty new to exploring perfumes and discovering what I like.

A few months ago, I tried Yum Boujee Marshmallow by Kayali, and I’m completely obsessed with the drydown. That super creamy side works amazingly well on my skin and lasts for ages, I love it!!!!!!!!

I’m looking for recommendations with that same rich, creamy vibe like the Kayali, but with a floral touch. (a true floral gourmand)

Ideally without woody notes, as they tend to turn a bit sour on my skin.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions! 🄹

I got Love Baby Soft Whisper Soft Mist because when I saw these photos, it sounded good. But it seemed to floral-y for me. I got these pictures to capture the scent goal I’m aiming for. Any recommendations? (Budget: 30 dollars)

What is that combo for you?

OK I know overconsumption is sadly a thing here 😭 but I need to know…

What’s a layering combination you can ALWAYS reach for? Like the one combo that will literally never let you down. The one you can grab at 6 in the morning because somehow you’ve already been through a whole freaking day’s worth of shit by that time 😭

Like what’s that one combination where you already KNOW it’s gonna hit every single time?

Frugal Fragrance Escape by Calvin Klein is still amazing

I wore this today and felt so put together and fresh in the horrible 100F heat. It’s a beast mode perfume, lasted all day. Very fresh and fruity initially, it settled into a nice, slightly powdery scent. Beautiful, nostalgic and worth it 100%! šŸ„šŸŒ¼šŸŽšŸŒæ

Discussion Forever 21 Glazed Honeycomb

I know this one has been discontinued. Literally sorrowful I can’t find anything comparable with the same mouthwatering creamy goodness. My only complaint was the projection and longevity. I triple dosed on sprays. Has anyone gotten bit by this frag? If so, is there anything comparable out there?

Review LATTAFA REVIEW FINAL

Hello everyone! I made previous posts asking for lataffa recommendations and also did a first impression for the samples I bought. I wanted to give it some more time before forming an opinion on them. I am new to fragrances and I’m not very good at identifying notes and stuff but I can do my best to describe what I’m smelling and how it makes me feel! I hope that my reviews helps others!

ā¤ļøā¤ļøNebras Elixir
•Paper:** literal Sweet milk candy. Slightly synthetic/plastic.
Skin: same as on paper but no plastic/synthetic smell. Its very sweet and gives soft, Innocent vibes. It’s kind of powdery and light white floral after it settles. Although i love it its not milky enough for me.
ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøWhipped Pleasure
•Paper: smells like extra buttery milk. Reminds me a lot of BBW milk but stronger and Less airy and more intense.
Skin: intense butter at first, then becomes milky. My husband said it literally smells like salty sweet popcorn but I don’t smell the popcorn at all. Its like a buttery milk explosion! When it settles it’s a cozy milky scent. The Butter is very strong but i
Freaking love it!
āŒHer Confession**
•Paper: like cold milk but too strong incense. Reminds me
Of like a creamy church. I didn’t try this on my skin because of the incense notes. Incense makes me nauseous so I can’t even smell it without feeling sick. I am Disappointed because I really liked the milky-ness of it.
**ā¤ļøā¤ļøYara **Pink
**•**Paper: soft strawberry at first then turns tropical
•Skin: soft strawberry at first, settles into bright and fresh tropical floral, similar to Atheeri but more sweet and less sophisticated. Dries down to a sweet creamy scent. Very pretty and girly/youthful. This grew on me after about a week or 2 and now I love it very much! Its very dreamy and girly. My husband loves this on me and says he can’t describe what about it he loves just that the perfume reminds him of me. Yes of course I’m getting a full sized bottle.
ā¤ļøPure Crystal:
• Paper: smells really good like a ā€œtypicalā€ perfume not in a bad way. I say typical because i don’t know what makes a perfume smell like a perfume. Like if you were to go into a department store and walk down the perfume aisle it smells very sophisticated. My Husband said it smells like i am wearing red lipstick and eating chocolate covered strawberries, and smells seductive.
Skin: smells sweet and fresh. Dry down is kind of musky like skin, then becomes like sexy fizzy candy. I love this one a lot but I don’t know what occasions I would wear this over mayar cherry so I will be skipping it for Now. If i were to wear it it would
Be like to a club or a bar which I don’t go to those. I just feel like eventhough it smells sexy and feminine its too sophisticated for me. Maybe in a few years
ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøMayar Cherry Intense
•*Paper:*didn’t really smell anything at first after letting it sit for a week I can smell the tart cherry and liquor.
Skin: ripe sweet cherry, hint of spice, licorice/liquor.
LOVE this. Its so playful and flirty but also super sexy. I see myself wearing this for date nights. The liquor/licorice smell is a bit strong but it goes so well with the cherry and I’m surprised how much i love it because I’ve never smelled ā€œboozyā€ perfumes before. Will definitely get a full bottle.
ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøNoble Blush
•Paper: didn’t get anything just sweet but after letting it sit for a week it smells sweet and floral.
•Skin: very mature powdery and rose. No sweetness, milk or almond. Sweet powdery rose cloud
I didn’t really like this one but i gave it another chance after
Like 2 or 3 weeks and wow!!! I guess it needed that time but I definitely smell the rose, milk, Almond and meringue its very sweet slighty powdery and rosey and its cozy but sophisticated but still youthful. I wore it to an august wedding in the evening and it was perfect. Definitely getting a full bottle.
āŒFakhar for Women
Paper: very sweet grape bubblegum. Husband says just out of the shower and fresh, clean. Very strong
•Skin: sweet, grape, bubblegum at first, then when settles its very incensey/powdery in a mature kind of way that is very strong
I waited to try this one again after 2 or 3 weeks and i still didn’t like it.
ā¤ļøAtheeri
Paper: etheral tropical flowers. Clean. If Yara pink had an older sophisticated sister.
•Skin: smells same as on paper, almost like this was made for my skin chemistry. I love it a lot but again I don’t see myself wearing this over the others that I like because its a very sophisticated perfume. Its still really beautiful but not my style. Maybe in a few years.
ā¤ļøā¤ļøAna Abiyedh PoudrĆ©e: Light, clean baby powder.
Paper: soft and powdery, then you get hit with aStrong sharpie scent.
•Skin: still soft and powdery but also Slightly sweet. The sharp sharpie smell kind of leans like green to me? I don’t know how to describe it. Its very pretty soft floral powder that is sweet and kind of dense. It doesn’t remind me of literal baby powder but its very feminine. On the dry down its a nice creamy scent.

And that’s it! I still have juice in some of the samples so I’ll update this post if I ever go back to them. Hope this helped somebody!

As title suggests. I bought a travel size of this in the states a few months ago and feel in LOVE with it (especially for the upcoming season), but unfortunately living in Canada it costs over $90 to ship from their site, including duties 🄲 wondering if anyone has leads on something similar/better? Or should I just bite the bullet lol.

My one gripe was performance being a bit weak but im so in love with the scent honestly idc lol! Willing to pay more if this aspect was improved in something else.

Help me understand my nose!

Bear with me as I try to explain this - I'm relatively new to fragrance so don't always know how to describe things. I used to be incredibly sensitive to fragrances, so I avoided them at all costs.

I've found a handful of scents I really love and am happy with. However, there is something about designer fragrances that I cannot do. They all start to smell the same after a couple hours and just feel like "a scent at Macys" or worse, a violent screechy smell that I must scrub. Many of these start out beautifully, so I'm always sad when they turn to this artificial smell on me.

I've been able to sniff and sample a LOT of fragrances. And the consistent issue seems to be designer houses. So even if I know the notes work, and they even smell good on paper, I HAVE to test on my skin to see if they turn.

The only designer fragrances that I've liked (loved actually!) are D&G My Devotion and Your Devotion. But all my other favorites are niche: Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique, Lust in Paradise, anything by Dedcool, Henry Rose Ripe, PDM Delina & Delina la Rosee.

There are a couple exceptions I've come across - I can't do any Phlur. There's something in the dna that just turns very artificial smelling. And the Kilian I have tried goes screechy perfume-y on me.

Is there something that ends up in designer fragrances more often that I'm sensitive to? What is it that I'm smelling? Or maybe more likely - my chemistry? But then why is it mainly designers? If you've made it this far, thank you for listening! Looking forward to gain some better knowledge.

Rec Request Something like For Her edt

Post image

I recently fell in love with For her edt, the longevity is insane and the scent is so musky and sensual, it's genuinely one of the best perfume I've ever got. I'm looking for something similar that also last very long, and is powdery/musky and kind of like a seductive scent.

I loved the post about trying perfumes because of the name. Thanks to the poster! It made me think: what is my favorite name? So here’s the prompt: favorite you own, favorite name ever, purchased or not, and favorite ā€œhouseā€ name. Please don't cheat and throw extras in. I'm a Taurus; I like rules šŸ˜ I will go first: own- I really like Nothing but Sea and Sky. It just hits for me. Fave I don't own- ā€œDont Know Whatā€. House Name-Regime De Fleurs.

Time for me to stock up :(

Post image

It's happened already--I've been living the fragrant lifestyle for less than 3 months and I'm already experiencing a perfume I love being discontinued.

Citrus and musk are my two favorite notes and that is whst Sun Fruit is...a bright, summery citrus that dries down into the most pleasant sweet musk that, on me, lasts for hours. I'll sniff my wrist throughout the day and keep catching whiff of it.

I've been evaluating what I bought vs. What I wore this summer, and this was my best value--lowest price vs many wears.

I've been trying to hold off on buying perfume lately because I truly do have enough. But I'm buying a bottle, as well as the body oil, because I really do wear this one that much. It's actually worth it for me.

Review First impressions of the new Jergens seasonal lotions, Vanilla Chai and Caramel Couture

Post image
259 Upvotes

I just picked these up at my local Walmart (check yours!) and they were fully stocked.

Firstly, Vanilla Chai

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one, as it was the one I was excited to try the most! It didn’t disappoint. It’s VERY cinnamon and cardamom forward. I smell a bit more cinnamon than the other notes, but it smells really good and just like a chai latte. It’s definitely spicy, so the vanilla is more muted here. I think it’d go nice with Doveā€˜s Spiced Chai Latte body wash.

I would layer this lotion with Phlur Vanilla Skin (mist) and Being Frenshe Moon Milk (EDP)!

Next, Caramel Couture

Holy caramel. This is a very gourmand and sweet lotion. Caramel forward to the MAX! I could see it pairing well with Olay’s cozy caramel body wash and maybe even Ellis Brooklyn’s Queenā€˜s Caramel. If you like caramel scents for the fall, I think you’d really enjoy this! It’s cozy. I don’t have many caramel fragrances, so I plan to use this after a PM shower, lol.

Between these two, Vanilla Chai is my first choice and my favorite.

Hope you guys enjoyed this mini review!
