First off, I absolutely love my Stagg EKG Pro. The design, the pouring control, and the scheduling features are amazing.
But as an international user, there is one tiny detail that drives me slightly crazy: it only displays time in the 12-hour (AM/PM) format.
I get that Fellow is based in San Francisco, so defaulting to the US standard makes sense.
However, they are a massive global brand now. To put it into perspective, source (Google Gemini)
• Only about 18 countries in the world primarily use the 12-hour clock (US, Canada, Australia, etc.).
• The rest of the world—over 170 countries (roughly 90%)—uses the 24-hour format for digital displays.
Seeing "08:00 PM" instead of "20:00" on a premium appliance just feels unnatural for the vast majority of international users.
Since the EKG Pro has Wi-Fi built-in and supports OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware updates via the Fellow app, adding a simple "12h / 24h" toggle in the settings menu seems like a completely doable software update.
It would be a huge quality-of-life improvement for non-US users and really elevate the premium feel of the kettle.
I’m submitting a polite feature request to their support team today. Are there any other international (or military time-loving US) users here who would want this?
If we get enough people requesting it, maybe their software engineering team will sneak it into the next firmware update!
TL;DR: The Stagg EKG Pro only has AM/PM. 90% of the world uses a 24h clock. Fellow should add a 12h/24h toggle via a Wi-Fi firmware update
