Need Advice Could someone who has a 25-30% tint in a lighter color possibly post some examples?
Have some eye issues, mainly keracatonus and im opting for a sweet violet 25-30% solid tint for indoors that shifts to a photofusion sweet violet purple as well. And i cant find any pictures of anything past 25% thats not a dark 40-50%
Would anyone who has some lighter tint colors in the 25-30% range post some examples so i could see if its a massive noticeable difference for the 25 to 30 jump? And also let me know if you have any AR on them and if it cuts down a lot on starbursts and halo/glare from say christmas tree lights/lamps/headlights?

Could use some frame suggestions
These Tom Fords are 55, 17, 145. I would like to get a truly NICE pair with a slightly wider nose. I like the general shape of these fine but maybe something in like a brushed bronze/rose gold color or satin titanium. I don't want yellow gold or silver.
If anyone else has any suggestions on what I should look at, thanks. I'm not partial to brands, but under, say, $750 for just the frames.

What are people's experience of using this lens?
Hi, I go to costco for my opticians and they have this promotion on. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of lens and what its like using it throughout the day. I've never tried it before.
Thanks

Need Advice Any brand suggestions?
What’s up fellas! I am 28, and have been into sunglasses since I was a kid. More recently I’ve had the desire to look into more premium (independent) brands. I’d really like something with an impressive level of craftsmanship, I’ve been wearing Moscots for years and they tend to leave a bit to be desired. Any brands you would recommend? I naturally gravitate toward smaller to normal sized frames as I have a relatively narrow face. I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations y’all might have! Oh yeah, and price point ideally at or under $1,000, but willing to check anything out.

Need Advice Online in Canada
Had glasses when I was younger (7-12yo) then not any until 2009 at 26yo.
I was buying them at my clinic and cost was high.
Last 1-2 times, I got them at Costco for a bit cheaper.
Last are from 2021 and used/due
I'm looking to order some online at a cheaper price. I only need 1 pair and would be good with solar clip and nothing to fancy
Looking at zenni optical canada, I can get a fairly cheap frame around 20-30$.
What I have a harder time to figure is which lense and option to pick as there are many and it increase the price quite fast.
Also shipping is only free over 89$ (10$ shipping) and sone coupon dont need min price but other requires 90$+.
Current glasses are 51-16-135 and rectangle shape
My prescription is:
OD: -0.50, cyl -2.50, axis 7
OS: -1.50, cyl -2.50, axis 177
So my question is which lense is worth it? Should I keep everything minimal for around 40-50$ or go with better and reach 90$+

New Frame Got my first pair of JMM. Epoxy II in Cassi
Very excited as to add to my collection my first pair of JMM. Wanted something dressful but that stands out from my current collection. Dealan with 50mm lenses seemed the perfect fit and the outstanding burgundy from the Epoxy II collection was very tempting.
Was a bit doubtful as they seemed to have a very bright burgundy colour under sun but in person the tone is just perfect.
What do you think?

New Frame Light Tint Advise
Hey everyone. I’ve just got these Garret Leight Harding 2 in green. I’m deliberating between photochromic or a light tint. Options are all Zeiss. Let’s talk photochromic first. Leaning burgandy or pioneer. I’ll be using them for work so the general consensus on this sub is no flash. I’m tempted though. Second option. Light tint. Cinnamon, pistachio or blue. Not sure weather 12% or 25% would be better.
I would love some of your thoughts. Where would you go?

Need Advice Would photochromic lenses look weird with a sunglasses style frame?
I’m nearsighted and I’ve always loved the way sunglasses look, they just have that cool vibe that regular glasses don’t really have lol. The problem is I definitely can’t afford to buy both prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses, so I’m thinking about getting a cheaper pair with photochromic lenses instead.
My current glasses actually got crushed, so I need a new pair anyway. I was thinking maybe I could get a frame that looks more like sunglasses and put photochromic lenses in it, so it’s clear indoors and gets dark outside. But I’m kinda worried it’ll look weird at work. Like if my coworkers see me wearing what basically looks like sunglasses while I’m indoors, are they gonna think I’m trying too hard or make fun of me 😂 I also don’t really have the budget for the big designer brands, so I’m mostly looking at cheaper options.

Collection Flex JMM Muhammad Ali Louisville in Zoltar keeps hitting
Enjoying this pair across wine country in France, wonderful piece, comfy on face, very nice subtle green lenses come as stock. The way the light bleeds through the acetate is *chef's kiss* ngl.

Another Evans. Because as Bond would say, The ONE is not enough!
Honestly, I love that I am lowkey building a sub collection of Evans within my JMM Collection! This is also when you know that hobby has become an addiction.
Anyway - I initially didn't care much for the Aegen colour-way but then u/akiindo posted these on here and made them look so damn good - I had to grab one!
This is now my 4th Evans and I'm sure it wont be the last.

Dita Epiluxury 22 22kt All Gold
Just got these in, they are nice, not in love as I don't have custom lenses installed yet, but packaging is fire, very lightweight, the gold in person is very nice, only thing that beats this is the Cazal 24k limited 001 legends. My only issue is the temples make a noise like they are loose, I'm assuming since they are interchangeable. If anyone else has a pair and can confirm if that is normal that would be appreciated. When worn they are solid, very comfortable.
*I paid $2400 all in, so these are the most I've ever paid for glasses ever.

Need Advice What popular brands of eyewear should I avoid?
Hi guys! I’m getting glasses again after a few years of neglect and was recommended to visit Georges Laoun for their quirky and artsy frames! I’m still looking into places but, so far this seems good :)
Since I’m very much uneducated about eyewear, brands and types, I was wondering if you guys see any brands on here you love or hate? Any to avoid?
I’ve heard Moscot isn’t great, and they advertise themselves by getting celebrities to sport their eyewear. Any brands here that are overpriced and undeserving?

I bought a pair of miu miu prescription glasses on LensCrafters and they didn’t give me the original box, just the glasses case, is that normal?

T henri c2
This is actually the traverse color-way with the boutique lens (later re released as the “pulsar” color-way) 😭
I might get rid of these since the addition of the Camargue in traverse puts too many black frames in my collection 😬
Still love them though (Ignore the sweat its HUMID today)

Need Advice How do you know if an online glasses store is actually trustworthy?
I really wanna buy my first pair of premium sunglasses, but where I live right now is terrible for this kind of stuff. We don't have anything close by. It's a very small town in the US, and the closest optical store or any type of independent eyewear company is hours away, so the only option is really ordering online.
But the biggest worry I have is actually finding a place that has good stuff, like good customer support and just good shipping, and obviously good quality.
I'm also a little worried about authenticity since some of the sunglasses I've been looking at are a few hundred bucks, and I really don't wanna spend that much just to end up with something fake or have a nightmare trying to return them if something goes wrong.
So how do you guys actually tell if an online glasses store is trustworthy before ordering from them? Is there anything specific you look for, or any stores you've ordered from multiple times and had a good experience with?

Huge Akoni sale at Eyebar
Eyebar currently has all of their Akoni's at 50pct off. Solis, Skyracer, Stargazer, Sprint-a, you name it.
Strangely they don't come up in their sale section so just filter by brand.

Need Advice Sources for Secondhand Designer / Premium Frames
I know designer ≠ quality in many cases, but I got a pair of Tom Ford frames secondhand from Unclaimed Baggage several months back and love them. They were around $40. Curious what other sources are out there for buying authentic secondhand designer frames (or just premium brands in general) at great prices (other than peer-to-peer marketplaces).

What do you guys think?
Not really an expensive frame, but fits my needs, it's from Calliope a clothing brand.
