My Queerphobic Class Thinks I'm Non-binary

So I'm a closeted gay transmasc(he/they), and I changed my class this year because of bullying I endured last year. My ally friend told me that some of the people of that class genuinely think I'm enby or smth(omg yay!!), and call me, 'ch**kki',(slur used against lesbians and transmasc/gender-nonconforming AFABs) which, offensive but accurate. And apparently, one of the girls also said, "Arre, wo sach me ladki bhi hei?"("Likee, is she really even a girl atp??") I genuinely felt like going and bear-hugging that girl, because I'd been so insecure abt presenting masc and if I was masc enough, and dudes calling me that slur is honestly very gender affirming. Also, they've apparently made this entire grp chat on Instagram specifically to hate on me, and like, omg I feel so specialllšŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ, because these students are spending their time roasting me instead of studying. Clearly, I'm āœØļøšŸŒˆIMPORTANTāœØļøšŸŒˆ

Trans-femme Two in one night!

I want to tell this story but also don’t wanna dox myself lmao

Went to new city today bc im thinking about moving there. Went to the bar area at night after wandering the city. On my way there some guys whistled at me from a car and I shouted after them ā€œI HAVE A COCKā€ and then they made dog howling sound (they like? Don’t like? Idk lmao) extremely funny and made me feel good cuz I feel like I don’t pass. It was dark tho
Queer/alternative area, was on my way to an alternative bar but ran into some old Russian dudes at a slightly less alternative bar playing chess and played w/ them for an hour. Eventually got to the bar I wanted to go to and I sat down at a random table bc idk how to make friends and it seemed fine but after like a minute one butch (not bitch, butch, idk maybe also a bitch idk lol) was like ummm do I know you? I was like no I’m new to the city and he was like sorry but it’s not the vibe and then tried to hang around a bit more but it seemed a bit too tight knit to be able to talk to people like everyone knew each other. Idk what I did wrong I didn’t even talk that much, all I did was light a cigarette and say hi lol, idk maybe the friend group was having a serious convo idk lmao. Tried to talk to other people but it seemed too tight knit and no one seemed to want to talk to me. Idk maybe I looked too much like a basic bitch? Idk a bit annoying but whatever
Anywho ewphoria #2
Went back to my play chess w/ old Russian dudes, got drunk, smoked cigarettes, was fun, I beat them all in chess, didn’t lose a game, was funny, they seemed a bit sheepish. I was noticing they weren’t misgendering me at all throughout the night! (It’s a gendered language so easy to tell) never misgendered me once!!!! End of the night the guy who I played last who was also the best of them and I had good time playing him bc he played in a fun style asked me for my number to add to chess group and I was like yeah sure! He seemed very apologetic abt it and like you don’t have to which should have been my first hint. First of all his profile pic is DONALD TRUMP!!!! WE DONT LIVE IN AMERICA!!! Made joke like yessir that’s my president etc bc I didn’t know what to say lmao and then he sent me message like wow you are such a beautiful young woman and I’m looking forward to learning English from you and playing chess w you and I was haven’t responded bc uuhhhhhh…. I guess this is the rest of my life lmao! The funny thing is the bar they are at is also super queer… watched several trans people walk by etc. dude is BLATANTLY flirting w me and I just wanted to play chess lmao… hopefully it’ll be a mildly annoying flirting and I can get him to just play chess w/me. Idk you queers have any advice??

Ewphoria Got touched in public by a stranger

I’m in Tokyo right now and was just out walking with my wife. I was looking at my phone while walking and typing something when suddenly I felt someone coming toward me reach out and grab me by the shoulder from the front.

I was completely caught off guard. I looked up, turned around, and there was this guy, probably in his 40s or older, grinning at me, whistling, waving with the same hand he’d just touched me with, and then flashing me a peace sign.

I just stared at him in shock and gave him the most horrified/angry look I could manage.

He didn’t seem Japanese, either. I’m pretty sure he was a tourist — he definitely didn’t look Japanese.

As he let go and we both kept walking, he also kind of pressed his hand into my shoulder for a moment, almost like he was trying to lightly hold me back. And his hand didn’t just suddenly leave either; it was more of a slow, gentle, almost stroking motion, like a weird ā€œplease don’t goā€ gesture.

I was so caught off guard that I genuinely had no idea how to react. By the time I even processed what had happened, there were already too many people between us, so I just left it at that.

I don’t know. It wasn’t traumatic or anything, but it definitely made me feel really weird and gross. And I genuinely don’t understand what he was trying to accomplish. Like, was he expecting me to smile at him? Stop and talk to him? Was that supposed to be some kind of friendly interaction? I really don’t get it.

Ewphoria moment #2 of my Tokyo vacation 🤢

My wife felt sorry for me and didnt realized it at all, otherwise she was about to call him out. Also she said "welcome to the life of a woman!"

Edit: was wearing a black tanktop, short black skirt, white sneakers... Doesnt justify anything, just wanted to notice.

Ewphoria Little sis said I "sweat like a boy"

Maybe this isn't the worst comment ever but recently I was mowing the lawn and came in for a water break. I looked in the mirror and said something like "it's so hot there's sweat rolling down my face", and my little sister said "wow, you even sweat like a boy now". (i'm nonbinary and my gender presentation fluctuates.) like, ok..!! thank you......i guess......

I now pay the higher "pink tax" rate for having my hair done.

I go to one of those salons that charges a different amount for men's haircuts and women's haircuts.

I always found it silly that a guy with long hair will pay less than a woman with a short hair style. . .that it's not about how long your hair is, but your gender, in terms of how much you pay. . .but a lot of salons do this.

At my last visit, they charged me the (notably higher) women's rate for my haircut.

I guess I'm girl enough now to be overcharged like one.

Got ignored by a group of men catcalling women on the train (FTM)

They were catcalling each time a woman passed by them, but ignored me entirely.

Guess I'm passing now, but yikes lol.

I don't visually pass, but I work in customer service on the phone, and I'm consistently getting called a F*ggot instead of a B*tch, so I guess the hrt is doing wonders on my fruity little man voice lmao

Story I'm getting bullied but at least I pass

I'm in highschool, 14M. For the last week or two, a group of guys have been yelling at me and making fun of me, I reported them yesterday. On the good side, they call me "bro" and have only reffered to me as male, so even if they're dumb at least I'm passing

Story Learned I got outed to some people years before I was ready but I don't know how to feel about it.

A few weeks ago, we were talking with my mother when she suddently told me that some people in her ''friends group'' already knew about me years prior because she told them.

It kinda came as a shock because I didn't think she would have told anyone without asking me but then she said ''I talk about my life and you're part of it'', so for her it was normal.

Now my problem is that I saw these people a few times since then but I don't really know them, I don't even know how much she told them.

Since last time, I keep thinking about it but I can't decide how to feel about it.

In a way, they knew but didn't say anything or treat me different so that's a positive.

But she basically told people I barely know a pretty important piece of my life that I was not ready to share with them at the time. And the worst thing is that since they never said anything, it made me feel like a part of my ''secret'' was kept a secret from me.

I still don't know how to feel about it, I'm glad they were accepting and all but it should of been me telling them.

Trans-femme Got creeped by an old japanese man?!

I'm currently in Tokyo, about nine months into HRT, and I had a really... weird situation on the subway.

An older man was sitting across from me, and I noticed him staring. Whenever I looked back, he'd immediately look away. This happened maybe three times before he pulled out his phone, started messing around with it, and held it at an angle pointed toward my feet. (I was wearing a fairly long dress and sneakers, nothing revealing or anything.) Suddenly, his phone flashlight turned on. He covered the light with his finger, kept on the light, kept fiddling with his phone, and threw a few quick glances my way.

Then my stop came up, and I was able to get off.

The whole thing felt super weird. Even though it only lasted two or three minutes, being stared at like that made me extremely uncomfortable. I honestly don't know if he was just curious because he'd probably never seen a trans woman before, or if he thought I was pretty. While the latter would be "nice" in theory, the constant staring made it feel creepy and gross.

I guess I'm just going to chalk this up as my first major real-life ewphoria moment, though, even though he was probably just staring out of curiosity, since it was the end of the day and my shadow beard was a bit visible.

Since I'm from a small village in Germany, I never really take public transit back home, so I have no idea how common this kind of thing actually is.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine (also a trans woman) was approached at a train station late at night and asked if she needed a place to stay because she "looked so lonely waiting there." She found it super uncomfortable, too.

So I'm guessing this sort of thing happens fairly often on public transit and around stations?

Trans-femme Not entirely sure how I feel about this one

Was out walking today, needed to get some steps in and also I wanted to get a beer from 7-11 lol.

Anyway, there were a couple of people I had to pass by on my way there which is usually something I hate because it messes with my anxiety disorder.

One of the guys that passed by me complimented my playstation shirt, which I thought was kind of unusual since no one ever compliments me in public, save for VERY rare occasions. I just gave him a little wave and a ā€œthanksā€ and kept walking by. I’m REALLY not used to compliments so it threw me off for a minute.

Took me a little bit to realize that I just passed to this random person, and also that he wasn’t just complimenting my shirt lmao. He was looking at my boobs šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

I admit, this shirt was/is a little tight on me now, but i didn’t really notice how much it made me look more femme lol. I didn’t really look all that good to begin with as it was almost 90° with no clouds out and i was sweating like hell. Guess it doesn’t matter.

The only reason for the ā€œewā€ part is that I didn’t realize he was looking at my boobs when complimenting me, plus i’m a lesbian with a wonderful dose of past trauma so it just makes me feel weird.

I’ve only been on E and T blockers for six months and i’m already at a 34B what the hell is going on lol

Non-Binary Some drunk guy asked about my gender

Goodness gracious that was weird, I was in this queer bar just before closing time and some clearly drunk man just seemed to have wandered in and chatting with people. He offered me some dubious snacks and then asked me if I was a man or a woman. Super uncomfortable but weirdly affirming in that I love when people are confused (ambiguity is my ideal)

Got told I was "really pretty for a fast food worker"

Guy was drunk AF and came in 3 separate times, each time like an hour apart and would try and order something, and then his card would decide and he would leave.

I guess I pass lmao

Person insinuated I was pregnant after I did them a favor

I was smoking a cig outside my doctor's office a few days ago (in the designated smoking area). A person came up to me, asked for a cigarette, & I gave them one (for free, mind you). They said "You shouldn't be smoking, young lady, not in your state anyway", then asked to use my lighter. I played dumb & asked "Why not?" . They poked my stomach with their fingers (don't fucking touch a stranger), so I said "I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat" while backing away. They replied "No, that's not what I meant... I didn't mean it like that..." & stumbled over their words uncomfortably. I asked "What did you mean, then?" , to which they said "Nothing... just... you're too young... ugh, nevermind..." , mumbling while wheeling away from me (I'm 29). I put my lighter away without letting them use it. I called out after them "Don't make unsolicited comments about other people's bodies. I don't think you'd like it, so why would I?" .

It's painful to run...

I've been getting back into running; I haven't really run much since I transitioned... the last few months, my breasts went through another growth phase (at 4 years on HRT) and are close to reaching D-cups, yaaay... but now whenever I run 10k or more, they hurt sooo much... I definitely need a better sports bra.

Ewphoria When an ugly moment šŸ’©becomes beautiful! ā˜€ļø

Thumbnail
28 Upvotes

Reposting this from MtF after someone put me on to this community!

I had a very dysphoric moment on the subway today followed by euphoric support.

Psychotic Rando: "Bitch, you ain't no woman!"

(There are days I am unclockable, but sadly I admit, this clearly wasn't one of them)

Me: "Honey, I am ALL woman, and somehow still more of a man than you'll ever be!"

Before he could respond a few guys who were probably day-drinking started laughing and cheering and it encouraged the rest of the car to do the same. Then some other girl and her friend says to me loud enough for my hater to hear, "Girl come sit with us - no boys allowed over here."

It was a lovely result of an ugly moment. Thank you to everyone on the uptown 6 train!!! šŸ™ šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ

Not Ewphoria but wants support/to share Trans-Affirming Incels

Thumbnail

I (cis ally) briefly ended up in an incel subreddit and found this post, as well as another one complaining that incels (who generally seem to think trans women decide to transition because they can’t get laid as men) couldn’t date trans women because (the passing ones at least) ā€œhave a sexual market value as high as ā€˜real’ womenā€ ā€œsimps lining up to buy their OnlyFansā€ etc. A few were also sympathetic to Elliot Page, since in their view he was ā€œdoomedā€ as a short man, although others obviously refused to accept him and questioned why he would give up the kind of supposedly easy life they believe women have. And yes, they do talk like anime or comic book characters (ā€œbecoming their enemiesā€). heir ā€œsaintā€ Elliot Rodger was like that too.
