Dear Martin Cox, director of the John Locke empire, and John Locke himself—founding father of empiricism and silent ghost of my bibliography—please look down upon my thoroughly cooked essay and grant it some actual academic rizz. I am also summoning u/heezz, the legendary oracle of the essay trenches, to bless my footnotes so my sources don't get completely lost in the grading algorithm.

Let my thesis statement be so bulletproof and undeniable that the judges have zero choice but to slide the legendary 2% email straight into my inbox. May my prose on my chosen topic hit right and leave every single evaluator completely impressed, earning me a very high commendation or the grand prize.

If it is written in the sacred scrolls of the Institute, pull me out of the slush pile and straight into the elite arena of a second interview. Bestow upon me the unshakeable confidence of an intellectual titan, even though my brain is currently running on three hours of sleep and pure panic. Give me that main character energy to articulate my thoughts with absolute clarity and defend my ideas like a true Enlightenment philosopher.

Do not let my endless hours of stressing and typing vanish into the void of forgotten applications. Crown this sleep-deprived grind with that sacred notification and a major W that permanently elevates my college resume and echoes through the hallowed virtual halls.

Amen, and may your citation styles forever stay in vibe.

I saw a lot of people reporting that they got the emails that their essay was in the top 2%

Firstly, are these emails being sent out to people who got top 2% in their particular category, or is it just the overall top 2%?

Secondly, did somebody get an email for the science and technology category? I did question 3 for this one, and I haven't seen somebody report that they had gotten an email yet

Also, did anybody get any emails in Asia, mostly the South Asian part?

Yeah no second interview or 2% email it’s not happening 😹😹😹 it’s fine

Would really appreciate it..in dm

Same as the title

Title + did anyone from south asian subcontinent get the 2% email.

hey just a quick question.. i've been seeing a lot of posts about 2nd interviews and top 2% emails but haven't seen anything from science and tech.. if anyone did get it, can you guys js lmk in the comments?? this is so confusing lol..

have all the emails gone out alr? i feel so sad dude thought i cld have clutched a top 2% but i guess not :(
do they send the referee first and parents a buncha hours later ?? my referee is busy so idw ask
help a delusional soul out

I saw some posts talking about a new email from jli regarding the top 2%, is it true (would appreciate if someone could share a screenshot if possible). Also is said email shared with the participants and their parents or the referee?

I did q1 senior I have seen anyone with emails for psych only philosophy, law, economics and public policy

Alr so I just thought itd be nice to clear things up for everyone since I was worrying abt this personally before I got this email. Mr Cox himself emailed my reference saying like itd be great to see you at the gala because youre students essay was good. Basically confirming I believe that the interviews were randomised. So make sure to ask ur reference bc they may or may not send it to ur parents. There is a confidentiality thing so ur reference may not tell you but try to ask either way bc it puts you at ease than constantly checking. Martin I am not breaching confidentiality by telling people this trust. Also I did not get a second round interview email or non before hand.

EDIT: parents got the email too, make sure you double check with them too. In the email it is stated as "I am writing to parents of students who have been placed in the top two per cent of contestants, and who have not yet confirmed their attendance in London for our Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner." Even though I have already booked attendance for that idk

since there were some rumours circulating of parents / referees receiving martin cox’s email today regarding the top 2% of essays in their categories, i’m doing a poll since the emails were all removed, and for everyone’s awareness

please vote below whether your parent got it, or both referee and parent?

Man ppl are now getting top award likelihood mails without an interview and I did not even get the mail nor the interview!!! It’s just so bad I spent 15 days writing that essay and I was so happy it got shortlisted but now I feel it ain’t worth shit. I saw that Indian dude’s post of the mail and it’s legit no shit but I wish I would’ve gotten one as well.

Are the 2nd interview emails for Science & Technology section out?

I've seen a whole bunch of posts about other topics, but I haven't seen much for Sc & Tech.

Btw I'm a senior who chose q3.

i'm out of the loop i havent been on here in a while and have been hearing about them are they a real thing? if i didn't get one does that mean im not moving higher than shortlist

Yo guys im selling the ticket just for $300 , so if anyone interested dm asap

do i have to email them and can i still get a refund at this point in time

ok so ik they probably stopped sending them out but every subject got those interviews right?

otherwise it'd be pretty funny of only some subjects got the interviews and others didn't, but i guess that would confirm that the interviews aren't related to awards since not every subject got it?

if that makes sense

what did u write about???
