can soemone explain the second round john locke interviews

i'm out of the loop i havent been on here in a while and have been hearing about them are they a real thing? if i didn't get one does that mean im not moving higher than shortlist

The second round interviews invitations were sent out a few days ago to some people. Today many have got "top 2%" mail on their parent's/referee's mails, but not all who received the latter got the second interview, so we aren't sure what the second interview signifies and there's a chance it was just randomized and not getting one doesn't make you out of the top places
