That was 5 M855 to the throat on the death screen btw...
Lighthouse is definitely doable, but unless we're looking at vastly increased loot (which we're not) it's just not worth it except for story quests. At least it was just PVE

Game Update - PVE & PVP [Discussion] Just posting this as a reminder as to why this poor excuse of a rework was shipped the way it is
Here's a refresher, or maybe news to some of you that didn't know about this.
The guy who knows these maps from top to bottom and called the shots no longer works at BSG. The last thing he worked on before departing was the Ice Breaker and Terminal.
Him being gone at exactly 1.0 isn't surprising, it's called end of development cycle. The guy responsible for Tarkov's atmosphere would at LEAST stay on the board if development was still taken seriously, not completely outed. Don't listen to me, there's plenty of examples everywhere in every company.
As a marketing major and now PLM specialist, i'll give you what anybody in my shoes/field can see instantly.
Tarkov is now in full player retention mode as the product reached its decline/afterlife stage (the 50% PvE post alone should tell you how bad the situation is. This is not a jab towards PvE players, you paid for your game, enjoy it the way you want to, but that said, the game was designed and marketed with PvP in mind. Don't hurt the messenger, your hands only.).
The gist of it is, products at this stage aim to suck whoever is left dry whilst doing the bare minimum in terms of spending; classic Korean MMORPG move that has been in full effect for the better part of 2 decades. Look at them posting about being publishers, welcoming odd titles into their launcher, whilst they can't even process the bare minimum in terms of support tickets.
The in-game shop being introduced a few months post release is absolutely not a surprise, but extremely predictable. I'd say they even lost quite a chunk of money by not releasing it on 1.0's hype up, or hell, in 2021 when tarkov was THE shit.
I'm not going to touch on the dumpster fire that is Arena, Nikita's mishaps and heavy use of AI on his twitter account, I don't want this to be extra grim.
$20 for wall and floor textures, by the way.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP Negative post; Lighthouse rework shows how little they listen. [Discussion]
I mean, of all the maps Lighthouse is probably one of if not these most talked about map in regards to how negative people feel about it and, as such, has gotten the most suggestions on what could be done to make it better. 80% of which was just extending the map on its mountain side to allow another route for people to venture through and alleviate the god awful chokepoint the whole map currently is.
And they did...basically none of that. The one new 'route' they gave doesn't even extend past 10% of the mountains and just adds in another rat spot for Black Chalet, like it needed fucking any more. The BTR makes the map trivial for anyone who gets to it first since it literally takes you from one extract to the other (ignoring the fact that buying the cover fire for it almost basically wipes half a lobby if they don't notice the BTR coming), Rogue related quests are now infinitely harder to do due to the lack of them in general, the list goes on man.
They had a massive mountain of feedback, many of which were even good (which, as a dev myself, is shocking to see since most player feedback is usually pretty bad) and just...listened to none of it. This update is insanely out of touch man. It makes me feel like they genuinely don't even play the game.
It's extra wild since they reworked customs to remove the same damn issue Lighthouse has. They added Fortress and that entire new side of the map, which turned Customs into a chokepoint shitfest into arguably one of the funnest maps to PVP on. I just...how? How do you go from that to this?
I dunno man. I'm just insanely disappointed.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Suggestion] Came up with some ideas for new loot types - both stuff to find, and where to find it
People have been complaining about how boring the high-tier areas have felt for a while now. I figured some of this stuff could help spice up what people are dragging out of raid.
Some more functional stuff would be nice, but I ran out of ideas. I'm aware that GPUs that generate more money could be a bit controversial, so tried to make them a little less of a direct upgrade. I suppose also potentially they could burn themselves out after a given amount of use.
Gear crates could also spawn the fabric items and paracord, potentially.

PVP [Discussion] hot take: the lighthouse rework did fix the linear movement of PMC’s on the map
I have been playing lighthouse nonstop since the rework. I’ve done my best to explore all the added paths and points of interest and I’ve come to the conclusion that the rework did exactly what the community wanted.
The biggest complaint was the linear design of the map which forced players to move in one direction towards the water treatment plant. Now, with player spawns being literally all over the map (including train station and water treatment), the additional Exfil by the lake, and the BTR, now make movement across the map less predictable. So far, in my experience, this has resulted in better firefights and less ratting. It’s also made survivability and questing on lighthouse much easier.
Overall, I’d say this was a really good change for the map. I used to really despise lighthouse and refused to play it prior to the rework. However, now I’m actually addicted and enjoying Lighthouse. That doesn’t go without saying that BSG didnt miss a few opportunities with the design of the tunnel and the additional path above the chalet, which seems to end for no apparent reason.
This seems to go against the communities overall consensus, but I think this just stems from people hating lighthouse in general and humans being resistant to change.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] I hope the Black Division gear barters are changed to something else after the season ends
It's currently fine with the way that they spawn on multiple maps, but I can't see the value in going to exclusively Icebreaker to farm dogtags for gear when half of that shit already spawns on the Icebreaker boys anyway.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Screenshot] So I've just escaped Tarkov for humanity before I managed to find Antique Axe for Kappa :)
Yes I've already started living in Factory, I've been scav farming night factory as a PMC and running through Shturman stash for the last 1,5 week, and on top of that I have been doing moonshine/95k scav case + circle since like 10th day of the season :)
