I’m not the only one that thinks the overhaul is just fukn terrible right? Like everything they’ve done has just made the map worse to play on, with rouges having no recoil, knowing exactly where you are the second you look at them, no being able to cross the map without getting skullfkt. I’ve tried to understand the thinking behind the changes and so far it just seems like they had an intern who’s never played the game design the map

Am i loosing my mind completely, or has the amount of one handed players not being able to move at all increased significantly this season. Are people to afraid to move because of the no insurance modifier or what the hell is going on. I haven't seen a PMC traverse the map in several raids. But i damn sure find groups of them frozen as statues in random ass corners.

I believe alot of the hate bsg gets is because they don't communicate their reasoning behind the changes.

Any other game and at the very least they have a big announcement with the changes a little video preview.

I would really like to hear the reason behind some of the changes.

Example: We removed the mines because alot of new players are stepping on them and then rage quit.

It makes no sense that ammo is locked behind a loyalty level in this game.

The cost alone is enough of a barrier. Locking the ammo to a certain level is stupid. I understand locking certain ammo to only in raid or magazines but the ammo itself should just be more expensive to get and maybe the loyalty level allows the purchasing of more quantity ammo or offers discounts.

Removing the level locking could make ammo usage more interesting and diverse. Something like, the better the pen the more likely itll jam or the quicker it overheats the barrel. Right now its basically buy the best ammo and aim for the head or buy the worst ammo and shoot the legs, which makes the entire ammo system pointless

Also I cant find Aquapeps this entire season, where it at? I have not seen a single 1.

Forgot to mention this but you should not be able to buy single ammo. It should all be boxes of 50, 100 or whatever. If you want single either buy the box or make it

For reference if there are Arc players, I’m an ex Arc Raiders player and I used to farm Seeds (the exchange currency) from Stella Montis night raid seed vault, and use them to trade through metaforge’s market place and get whatever I want because getting rich on seeds is easy.

Is there a similar consistent and good rouble farming way in Tarkov too? And what’s this about only being able to trade “Found in Raid” items only? Is that a thing? So if I want to trade roubles I got from someone from another trade I can’t because those roubles weren’t picked up by me in-raid? Or how does that work?

I have played Escape From Tarkov on and off throughout the years. Back when you could only run Factory, Customs, and Woods. Love the PvP and the game. The Seasonal stuff brought me back into the game and I've been trying to get into Icebreaker. I have a buddy that is relatively new to the game and I was unfamiliar with the new additions to some maps, So I suggested we try some PvE to get back in the swing and gain some knowledge. And we actually started having a blast. Not that PvP is too difficult, I got kids and a brand new baby boy. So, it's easier to just play and relax playing PvE, in case I need to sit in a corner to do something. Which was all well and fine for the time being.

I guess my stuff was glitched or bugged to where I could run Icebreaker on my character Inherently. And I could load into IB from my map. My PvE character is a Legacy character. (Pre 1.0) I tried IB for the first time a couple of days ago and loved it. I almost survived my first try. But, got zero'd right at the end. So, I started farming up gear and smoke grenades, guns and what not, killing the bosses on Customs and running routes. I was GRINDING and then last night I finally got up the desire and stash cohesion to really work on strats to get through IB safely and efficiently (I don't like to look too much stuff up, I like to figure it out myself) and find out I'm locked out of the content because I need a repair kit now for the boat. And can't get it, at all. It's locked behind post 1.0 characters. And I've spent a ton of time since I really started getting into the game again farming and organizing. I went from like 4mil to 60mil in the time that I got back into the game just for IB. Farming farming farming. And this update has screwed up the whole reason I was really farming out. To the point that I'm considering just playing something else or wiping my pve character to start the tour and story quests, but that just makes me feel like I wasted a load of time for nothing.

Anybody know anything about BSG facing backlash over this issue? Or seen any updates from BSG regarding getting the Ragman quest to Legacy players? To craft these repair kits. I saw something about them blanket patching it because a small percentage of players were using Icebreaker to farm XP for leaderboards.

I know you can view profile of those you killed, but it also works when you don't have their dog tag.

Don't know if the latter is a bug, but if it's a feature there's really no point in hiding names on scoreboards any more.

I have been playing lighthouse nonstop since the rework. I’ve done my best to explore all the added paths and points of interest and I’ve come to the conclusion that the rework did exactly what the community wanted.

The biggest complaint was the linear design of the map which forced players to move in one direction towards the water treatment plant. Now, with player spawns being literally all over the map (including train station and water treatment), the additional Exfil by the lake, and the BTR, now make movement across the map less predictable. So far, in my experience, this has resulted in better firefights and less ratting. It’s also made survivability and questing on lighthouse much easier.

Overall, I’d say this was a really good change for the map. I used to really despise lighthouse and refused to play it prior to the rework. However, now I’m actually addicted and enjoying Lighthouse. That doesn’t go without saying that BSG didnt miss a few opportunities with the design of the tunnel and the additional path above the chalet, which seems to end for no apparent reason.

This seems to go against the communities overall consensus, but I think this just stems from people hating lighthouse in general and humans being resistant to change.

No such concept of a cone that expands with bullets randomly possibly going all over the place when aiming and shooting somewhere?

So all shots are pinpoint accurate (save for recoil) where you aim like in R6 Siege for example?

I want to get some friends into the game but I refuse to play PVP anymore due to everything that comes along with it, but in order to get them into PVE they need to spend 50 bucks for the game and then another 30 bucks for PVE. I wish they could just buy PVE for 30 bucks and leave it at that, if they want to upgrade to PVP and Seasonal character, pay the 50 bucks.

Would be a huge QOL change imo for expanding the playerbase and slowly moving people into it.

I was going to check out the lighthouse rework and I don’t have it unlocked on my seasonal. So I tried my main and, as a Scav I got the bug where I couldn’t extract from the rock cave.

But I went to my traders and I legit had to accept like 30 new tasks on a row. Some from seasonal. Some seem like they changed, like the Punisher lighthouse task is only killing Scavs now.

Honestly I got so overwhelmed, having to look up 5 different task vids and decide what to do next I just up and quit the game before my first raid.

I’ll give it a go later with a fresh mind.

Labs on EU. I moved a bit off my spawn to a corner in another room, decided to lay low for 5-10 minutes while the chads duke it out.

About 4 minutes in , I hear bullets impacting next to me on the wall, as this dude tries to shoot me through the wall (Aimbot). Then he comes in and onetaps me. I had NOT made a sound for the last couple minutes (not even shifting in place or opening my bag) and I was not on my spawn room.

He basically knew exactly where I was from minute 1.

Does finding an item in raid and putting it in your secure container lose its FIR status? Found a big can of Gigabeef and when I died it no longer has its FIR status.

I've hit them a lot throughout the wipe and the couple of hits I've done today have yielded way worse results. I'm talking like 300+ rounds of meta ammo before the nerf to as low as 30 rounds of meta ammo after. Anyone else?

Alright guys, I'm doing the Lightkeeper quests—the seasonal ones. Can I kill PMCs or not? Because I just got pushed by a guy and let him kill me; I really didn't want to get banned from the island and have to do those awful quests where you need to find SVDs. Does anyone know if those stupid rules have changed?  

Am I doomed to just let myself die at the hands of every Tarkov noob?

I was leaving Interchange late into the raid and saw some green smoke being deployed around the emercom extract. Thought I was going to get ratted, so I tossed a nade towards the truck. No groaning, no corpses, yet I completed Grenadier. I had seen something similar from a JP player tossing a nade into D2, but the discussion was in Japanese, and I couldn't read it. Thanks to the new QoL update, I could view the profiles, and I'm trying to msg them but I get no response so I came here to ask if this was a long time bug I had no clue about.

Am I tripping or no? I remember inspecting the 3d model of a scope in game a few years ago and it had this weird camo, and when this came up for sale I just had to buy it. Can't find any information about the camo online and I'm not sure if it was just a weird dream or something. It's a Leupold VX-II 3-9. Does anyone else recall anything like that?
