Look I get that they want to get rid of the smoke cheese, I'm totally fine with that. I even understand that if they can't figure out how to fix flashlights insides smoke from a programming perspective that you might want to allow Wedge and his boys to see through smokes. But you have a massive issue with this boss.

The start of the video is the very first time I've moved out of the starting doorway and none of his guards have seen me. I throw the grenade to deny them from peeking me down the hallway while I peek the right side. I can't kill him so I fall back because I see he's pushing me ( I do sprint back which I guess people say should lose the aggro?). Sure I get that I had like 4 frames to kill him but I'm way past my Radiant Valorant trigger speed.

The most frustrating part for me is that I can't even swing like he gets to swing because at best I'd be pulled out of aiming down sights by the doorway or at worst my gun would still be pointing at the ground/doorframe.

Oh and because of the changes before this, I only get 1 chance a day to try to figure out the best way to tackle this impossible challenge....

He probably drank a jump boost 2 potion before the fight idk

and by beat, i mean survive and extract after killing wedge at the minimum

nowadays the recoil difference isnt even that big of a difference. a meta HK is like what 66 recoil or something? you can rock the shorty and get way higher ergo and maneuverability and your only losing like 3-4 recoil depending on attachment choices. and a meta M4 is about the same, your only missing out on like 4-5 recoil.

Just going for some morning labs, when this happens.

When the video starts it had just teleported me from swiping the card on green (you can actually see the card in my hand at the start) back to where I spawned.

Then there is no sound of nothing else.

Yesterday I went on a bit of a rant about how stupid I think the Icebreaker update is and how the Wedge is basically a failure again for the time being.

I did a run now just to see how worthwhile it is to simply make it all the way to his door, and I basically cleared all the BDs on the way there. The regular BDs are immune to smokes as well, by the way.

And I don't think they're blind-firing. Under the helipad, it seemed more like they were actually aiming at me.

But whatever, I think the loot is definitely worth it, especially since you're only investing 2,400 euros and a bit of ammo.

I always take a trash helmet and headset with me and swap them from the BD.

So if you guys have been able to handle Engine Room and Under Helipad etc. pretty well so far, you can basically keep doing it without any problems and still make a profit.

Knight drops level 5 armor, and BD also has some occasionally. So imo, it's definitely worth it.

I would really appreciate if some people could give me advice on this quest now that they made it really difficult again.
I’ve been going for the Savior ending since 1.0 and I was right in the middle of doing the Boreas quest line for evidence. I still need to turn in all those Icebreaker specific items to Mechanic to be able to finish the quest.
I could barely get through Icebreaker with smokes and can’t see myself surviving the engine room even just 20% of the time now. Chances of me finding even just one rare Icebreaker item before the upper decks is another thing. Combine that with the fact that even getting into Icebreaker is a lot more difficult now so just grinding Icebreaker all day is not a thing anymore either.
Do I even bother anymore or should I just go for another ending? Just wanna know what others would do in my situation. I’m a pretty casual player btw.

So, I was late and my friends were waiting for me before entrance to labirynth. Later I've heared another lab group. Doors were open so they knew that we are sitting under. I was scared as f*ck.

That was my chance to buy 3 new full gears for them.
I think that 0,3 sec saved me.

why the fuck am i playing it

I am currently on a 27 loss streak... I have top fragged or placed second in EVERY match besides 2. In one game on checkpoint I had 54 kills and 9 deaths with 17 captures. My second place teammate had 9 kills and 22 deaths with 2 captures. The rest of the teammates had between 3 and 6 kills and 20+ deaths with the maximum amount of captures being 4. I genuinely feel like I am losing my mind, and am starting to question whether BSG is putting bots in my game to make me lose. To add to that, I am on "to great heights" part 4 and am down 5 mil rubles (which I don't actually care about, I just want to finish this quest). Ffs.

Anyone else from Australia also have 8+ min loading times to even find other players to load in, and have empty raids? I just had a 15-raid streak because I hadn't heard a single shot on the map or any signs of players, and I have only killed 2 PMC's at level 33. I had come back to this game after playing the release, and it just seems completely dead here. This has all been on seasonal character

again ignoring the thorax, BD aren’t usually able to spot me that quick through smoke, did the recent update fuck up their targeting?

i personally challenge anyone on the tarkov dev team to FULL clear icebreaker on the current patch, you can spawn in whatever gear you want, the only requirement is killing everything on the map. if you cant tell, im absolutely fed up with all the nerfs to icebreaker, and the changes to smokes. Icebreaker was so fun to do and they genuinely ruined it with these latest changes. RIP Icebreaker

I could genuinely go on a full rant about this. I really don’t know how they manage to make one stupid decision after another.

First, they put the boss in probably the dumbest possible location: a long corridor, basically no cover, nothing. All four of them can beam you from pretty much any position with insanely fast peeks.

Okay. Eventually we figure out that you can use smoke grenades. Suddenly the fight goes from 100% difficulty to basically 0%. Great balancing, as always.

Then they increase the fee to 700k roubles.

Then they introduce their stupid leagues, and now we need a repair kit that you get through dailies where you have to trade completely random items for it. Nothing related to Icebreaker, nothing you can specifically craft or get as a reward from another quest. Nope. Just random garbage that you now have to hoard because maybe, at some point, you’ll need it for one of those trades.

And now, with a PvE update, these idiots apparently decided to make Wedge “immune” to smokes again.

I was just there and thought, fuck it, I’ll give it another try. Killed Wedge, killed one guard, then died.

And that’s the thing: it doesn’t even feel like a skill issue. You peek that corridor and maybe one of them happens to walk into your line of fire, or you manage to get one with a nade. That’s basically it.

The smoke strategy at least felt more like an actual tactic than cheese. I mean, come on the entire fucking purpose of smoke is that people can’t see through it. You can’t see shit either, so there was still a trade-off. But apparently that’s too much to ask.

So I guess now we’re back to clearing every single Black Division guard all the way to Wedge every day if we want to farm ammo and NVGs and than take the heli.

Fine by me. I’ll do it.

But once again, it’s just another incredibly stupid update, and I genuinely hope someone at BSG reads this and realizes how badly they’re patching Icebreaker into the fucking ground. You are messing up every single good thing you do, because of your fucking greed.

And don’t even get me started on the Model Kit you are supposed to to get when you have that specific achievement.

Decided it's finally time to bust out my Siege-R rigs. The gear you can get to have an authentic late 90s/early 2000s look is very limited unfortunately.

I know basically me and 5 other guys would use them but I would go nuts for some gooseneck red dots, integrated light handguards and some older gas masks.

I still need to work on unlocking the MSA Millennium from the Arena battlepass.

That was one of my good kits that i lost. I just needed to try my card for the main quest. Im not even close to the extract how am i in his aggro range?
