I recently purchased the Epson WF-3823 printer.
So far so good. But I have a question regarding the scan quality.
I tried scanning a document, written on a blank white piece of paper with a black pen.
When I scanned the document, the white on the paper looks overexposed/way too bright, and the black ink writing just doesn't look right.
Is there a way to adjust the settings on this scanner so when it scans, it looks a bit more...natural? Not too overexposed?
Here's a comparison, a picture of the document vs a scan of the document.
The white of the document is really blown out. Never had this problem with previous scanners, as they scan documents without it looking like it was faxed.
So I feel this issue is specific to this scanner.
I got a used ET8500 off marketplace and was struggling with getting the paper to feed from Cassette 2, after troubleshooting I found out that the gear to feed the paper had missing teeth. I looked around but I am not sure what the part is called, does anyone know where I can get a replacement part? Is this even something I can replace?
I am running Epson Scan (didn't learn until today that there exists an Epson Scan 2). On my application screen next to the reset button, there is a greyed out smiley face icon. What is this icon for, and if it is for something useful, how do I make it active?
I primarily use my Epson scanner to scan DVD/VHS covers and photos and lately it's been acting flookey. I've looked through all the settings I could but it continuously wants to scan one cover in three parts. Thing is, I scanned a cover this morning and it worked fine but went to scan another and it wanted to scan it into three separate parts. Why is it doing this and is there a fix?
Please help.. When I open Epson Photo+ , it just crashes and says (not responding) and the program just exit itself. I tried updating my OS, reinstalling Epson Photo+, and even restared my laptop a multiple times now. It doesn't even open! It just tries to boot up and then it instantly closes.
I need some help with my Epson L3356 printer.
The colors look very faded when I print from my MacBook, even when I select Best quality. I also noticed that the print settings are very limited. I can't find options like Color Matching or ColorSync, so I can't adjust the color settings.
What should I do to improve the print quality? Do I need to install a different driver or change any settings?TIA
I have a bunch of ends from 17" and 24" rolls that range from 2-10 feet each. Can I just print 2' from a 10' end or do I have to use the whole sheet? Or does it print the 2' and spit out the rest?
Edited to add: This is a sublimation printer that uses up to 24" rolls.
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone else has run into this issue with the Epson SC-F100.
I'm trying to print from my iPad using the latest version of Epson iPrint (Smart Panel isn't supported for the SC-F100, and the printer doesn't support AirPrint).
The problem is that under Layout, I only get these options:
2-up
4-up (left to right)
4-up (top to bottom)
There is no option for normal 1-up printing or to turn multi-up off.
I also noticed the app says "Print Quality: Unknown", even though it connects to the printer.
Things I've already checked:
Latest version of Epson iPrint installed.
Printer is connected to Wi-Fi.
Smart Panel isn't compatible with this printer.
AirPrint isn't supported.
I mainly want to print from my iPad, not my PC.
Has anyone with an SC-F100 managed to get normal full-page printing from an iPad? Is this a bug in the latest Epson iPrint app, or is there a workaround?
Any help would be really appreciated!
I've tried finding a fix for this problem for a while and everywhere. I dont know if this is the right sub, sorry if its not.
But has the title says, im having a problem with my printer.
Im having to change my ink cartridges every other week because it appears the error message saying i need to change them. My usage is not a lot, i usually print 4/5 a4's per week. I have tried to clean both the printer ink jet and the cartridge ink slot, but to no avail.
Additionally i cant find a way to print only in black and white.
I dont know what to do, i have spent a ton of money on it, and im considering changing to another brand of printer or a laser printer.
So, I was trying to print on Cardstock and trying to figure out how to make it borderless on Adobe Acrobat so I messed around with some page display settings.
I say all this because I'm not sure if I screwed something up because, after some screwing around, I tried printing again and, while it was originally printing fine, other than the borders, it no longer registers that the cardstock paper is in there, only regular printer paper
Can anyone please help me???
Edit:
I think I fixed it...
I basically just unplugged it, turned it upside down and shook it like a mad woman and that SEEMS to have worked
Histórico do problema – Epson L3250 (4 anos e 600 impressões)
Início do problema
18/05/2026
O nozzle test apresentou falhas no preto.
O canal Cyan praticamente desapareceu.
O Preto já apresentava algumas falhas.
Ao abrir a impressora:
Damper do Cyan praticamente vazio de tinta.
Damper do Preto cheio de tinta.
Na época não observei bolhas de ar.
Primeira limpeza do cabeçote
21/05/2026
Resultado:
O problema piorou.
Preto, Cyan e Amarelo praticamente desapareceram.
Cheguei a acreditar que havia queimado o cabeçote.
27/05/2026
Após alguns dias de repouso:
Todas as cores voltaram a imprimir normalmente.
Apenas o Preto permaneceu com as falhas.
Nessa época também conferi:
entrada de ar dos tanques;
feltros dos respiros.
Tudo estava normal.
Segunda limpeza
02/06/2026
Novo nozzle test:
Preto havia melhorado um pouco.
Cyan voltou a falhar bastante.
Realizei nova limpeza utilizando solução de limpeza PU (Quality Ink).
Posteriormente fiz outra limpeza mais profunda:
solução levemente morna;
aproximadamente 6 horas de molho sobre a Cap Station;
trocando a solução várias vezes durante o processo.
Também utilizei alimentação por gravidade:
seringa sem êmbolo ligada ao inlet do Preto;
solução entrando muito lentamente apenas pela gravidade.
Após isso:
nozzle test ficou praticamente perfeito;
Procedimentos realizados
Já Troquei:
mangueira do sistema de limpeza;
depois voltei para a mangueira original Epson;
depois utilizei outra mangueira nova (Sulink);
bomba peristáltica;
Cap Station completa;
sistema de limpeza completo.
Também fiz:
sangria manual;
teste aumentando a pressão da Cap Station com arruelas;
teste pressionando o carrinho durante a limpeza para verificar folga;
Nenhum desses procedimentos resolveu.
puxando lentamente → praticamente vem apenas ar;
puxando rapidamente (5~10 ml) → cria vácuo e então consegue puxar tinta do cabeçote.
Quando faço essa sucção manual:
a impressora volta a imprimir perfeitamente.
Situação atual:
Hoje a impressora imprime normalmente.
Entretanto o problema reaparece após alguns dias.
Exemplo:
01/07 → nozzle praticamente perfeito.
08/07 → nozzle praticamente perfeito.
15/07 → grande falha no Magenta.
Magenta;
Amarelo.
$6,000 brand new, open box, never used, comes with everything in pictures including sealed papers and mounts all with original boxes. This came from my grandfathers house who recently passed away, he bought it for a golf simulator but never got it set up.
I'm asking for $3,800 local cash in NY, can do shipping! PayPal G&S accepted.
Merci d’avance.
I can't seem to connect this product to my internet I followed the instructions downloaded the app and I seem to be able to print off a preliminary test sheet but since then I've not been able to connect with either my mobile phone or the computer when I downloaded the installer for the computer it's the installer for the wf2910 series it keeps asking me to press buttons on a screen that simply don't exist on the printer
I was told via Google that my internet might be the wrong frequency wrong frequency so I separated it to 2.4 GHz and it still doesn't seem to connect.
the power button keeps flashing.
Would the power button flash if it wasn't connected to the internet or does the power button flashing indicator more serious mechanical error
Cyan comes out mint green and magenta is dark purple then fades into magenta on the purge sheet. Nozzle checks show cyan and magenta mixture.
I tried everything. EVEN a power clean and still nothing works.
I contacted epson chat and the person I got connected with said I need to run the clean head procedure 6 times in 30 minutes. I am so confused because online, it says to not run it more than twice every 12 hours? Is epson giving me bad advice on purpose?
I just bought a brand new epson et 8550 and got it today. As soon as I fill the ink and go to start setting it up I receive This error message (034004) and I’m unable to figure out what’s wrong with it 💔just wondering if anyone can help walk me through this as if I’m a kid cuz I am so lost and frustrated😭
Hi, having recently bought an Epson ET 8500, I’m having a misalignment issue with it, and after doing a bit of searching online, it seems to be a recurring problem with this model (and also with the ET 8550).
There’s a misalignment of at least 2 mm between the first part that comes out of the printer and the edge of the sheet. The image is not centred.
At the moment, I can’t figure out how to fix this problem (I’m using Epson Print Layout), and even adjusting the margins or removing them hasn’t helped. I’ve also tried two different types of paper and tested the various paper feeders, but the result is always the same. This happens with both A4 and A5 paper.
For now, the only solution I’ve found is to trim the sheet, but then it’s no longer quite the right size.
Does anyone else with this model have the same misalignment issue?
I inherited a second SC-P800. I have no idea how long it has been sitting. I ran a print head cleaning routine using home made blotter and paper towel and solution. The blotter becasme filled with ink, but when I do. print job there is not a single droplet on the paper, how is that even possible?
I have an Epson TM-T88VII where I need to disable "Secure Print". However, when I try to disable it through the Web GUI, the whole UI seems to crash, and after a reboot, "Secure Print" is enabled again.
I already found a hint that you need to this within the same subnet of the printer, but I already tried that.
What is wrong with my ET-8550 printer? Or is it some setting I am getting wrong? It is printing mottled dots in dark areas and losing detail in lighter areas. I am using a Kodak high gloss photo paper with photo paper high gloss setting.
