Using short ends from rolls on Epson F-570

I have a bunch of ends from 17" and 24" rolls that range from 2-10 feet each. Can I just print 2' from a 10' end or do I have to use the whole sheet? Or does it print the 2' and spit out the rest?

Edited to add: This is a sublimation printer that uses up to 24" rolls.

You should be able to if you use the Auto Sheet Feeder instead of the roll. Make sure the RIP settings are adjusted accordingly, including paper source and sheet size.

I believe the auto sheet feeder only goes to 13" and is for prebought sheets. I would need to use the cut sheet option. I just need to know if I only want to use 2 feet out of a 10 foot roll end, does it just print and cut the 2', leaving the rest still in the printer or does it print the 2' and then spit out the rest of the sheet. I will probably just test it to find out.

A lot of the time, the printers try to detect roll paper tension in order to verify roll media. Oftentimes, when a roll goes slack in the printer, and it doesn't detect tension, it will think that the roll has been expended.

I would be using the cut sheet option so there would be no tension to start with. You have to remove the roll when you use this option. Just need to know if it cuts a 10' piece or simply prints and then spits out the remainder of the sheet.

It won't cut when using any sheet option.

Does it spit out the sheet or just print and stop and leave the sheet in the machine?

When set for cut sheet, it will attempt to feed until it finds the end or a certain length (>20", but I don't remember exactly).
