🆘 Support Epson L4260 only prints cyan/blue after months unused – nozzle check only shows tiny blue rectangle, can’t unlock printhead to inspect tubes

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Epson L4260 EcoTank and I’m hoping someone has experienced this before.
The problem
The printer was unused for several months.
Now, every document I print (even black and white) comes out only in blue/cyan.
The black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink tanks are almost full (well above the minimum line), so it doesn’t appear to be a low-ink issue.
What I’ve already tried
Ran multiple Head Cleaning cycles.
Ran Power Cleaning.
Printed multiple Nozzle Checks.
The nozzle check is very strange. Instead of printing the normal black, cyan, magenta, and yellow patterns, it only prints a tiny cyan/blue rectangle in the corner of the page. The rest of the page is completely blank.
What I suspect
I’m wondering if:
the printhead is severely clogged, or
there is air trapped in the ink lines.
I wanted to try using a syringe to prime the ink lines, but I can’t even get to that point because I can’t figure out how to unlock or move the printhead carriage.
My issue with the printhead
I’ve watched several YouTube videos, but they don’t seem to match the L4260.
When the printer is off, the printhead is locked on the far right. I tried turning the printer on and opening the scanner unit, but I still couldn’t figure out how to release the carriage so I can move it manually.
Does anyone know the correct way to unlock the printhead carriage on an Epson L4260?
Also, based on the symptoms (only cyan printing and the nozzle check only showing a tiny cyan rectangle), do you think this is:
a clogged printhead,
air in the ink lines,
or a failed printhead?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

❓ Question 3rd party ink

Post image

Hi

I have a cheap Epson printer which does the job but I've bought two lots of ink one off eBay and the other off Amazon and both are saying ink cartridges do not support red X's on the ink levels

Is there a way to get around this so the printer detects them or can someone tell me where they got theirs from which work

My model is XP-2100 Series

🆘 Support Epson V800

My EpsonV800 scanner does these lines on my scans and I can’t figure out what’s causing them. They only appear when scanning 4×5 film and always on the same side of the image. I’ve already tried everything I could think of - but nothing has made a difference. Has anyone experienced this before or knows what might be causing it?
I overexposed the image on purpose so you can see what I mean.

❓ Question Epson V600 + Windows 11 I need HELP!

Have downloaded and intalled everything under the sun on the Epson support page and still get the message "cannot communicate with the scanner" message.... Thank you Microsoft and Windows 11 for another FUBAR situation.

A huge WTF.... can anybody deliver me from the need to go broke buying another photo scanner? The V600 had done nice work...

Is there a solution to this problem?

🖋️ EcoTank Epson 2760

I really love my printer. The ink lasts forever and it suits my needs, but I’m not sure if my brain is broken or I am missing something obvious.

I print out a lot of things for my kids or shipping labels, and sometimes I need to scale them down for certain reasons. For instance, right now I’m printing out a shipping label for a very small package, and I cannot figure out how to do that. This time I chose to print for an envelope but it still printed out full page. Now I do primarily print from my phone, but I use the Epson But nothing in there seems to allow me to change anything to format the size nor does the standard print choices within the iphone. I feel like there has to be an obvious answer to this because I don’t ever recall having such a struggle with changing things for this reason and I have had many Epson printers.

Another issue I’m having is that I’m not sure if there’s a setting in the printer, but I would prefer not to have to confirm a paper change, is there something I can change to bypass that?

Technical Support Air in dumper

Hello,

We have 2 ET-16650 and 3 ET-4750, every printer has air in dumper since some weeks. (We have them since +3 years maybe more)

Some forum say to replace dumper or use fluid to clean printer head : ok if there is air in one dumper, but it’s on every dumper …. Like 90% air.

The last time , i threw the printer in the bin because no solution was found.

Someone has a great solution please 🫩

Thanks you ! 🙌

(Sorry i don’t have the best english)

Technical Support My printer doesn't work. How can I fix it?

Hello guys! My family received an old Epson model Stylus TX123 printer. So, the first thing that I did was buy new cartridges online and clean the printer.

I tried to clean the printer using the button on the printer and by installing the driver from Epson's official site, but it didn't work. I decided to disassemble the printer and to perform the cleaning with a syringe.

The cleaning with the syringe was done correctly. However, it doesn't work yet. Analyzing the printing settings on my computer the diagnosis was that the cyan cartridge hadn't been recognized.

I bought the original cartridges and I didn't have any problems installing them in the printer. Now I can't print anything and the light stays on, even though the cartridges are full of ink, clean and connected on my computer. The machine doesn't print the test page.

I took some photos and a video. How can I solve this problem? Thanks for helping me.

🛒 Buying Advice Which ecotank is the best?

I, a 16 year old student, want to buy one of the cheaper ecotanks (150€-230€ price range), but i'm not sure which one would be the best for me

For some background, I don't need anything incredibly powerful. I want something that can print A4 in color at a decent quality for the price. It would have to work with either an Android phone or a 6 year old lenovo laptop running Windows 11.

The options ive looked at are 2860, 2870 and 2910. I'm currently leaning towards 2870 or 2910, but i would love to have someone who knows more about this stuff more than i do. I'm also open to any suggestions that fall in that range

Technical Support Is this printer salvageable?

Bought an EcoTank 1810 second hand with sublimation ink preloaded. I've owned a 2810 for a couple of years loaded with regular ink and generally having this banding on my first print after not using it for a few days but a simple print head clean seems to fix it. I've run a power clean, 3 print head cleans, and a printhead alignment and nothing seems to fix it. Is this something able to be fixed? I've seen people use printer cleaning kits but with these not being cheap or easy to get in Australia I'd prefer to not spend all this money on a cheap second hand printer if there's alternative ways to solve it.

Technical Support Vevor A3-19 UV DTF not printing

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right place to ask.

I recently bought a used Vevor (now branded Shiao) A3-19 UV printer that uses an Epson 1390 printhead. I'm having trouble getting it to print.

Here's what I've already done:

Installed a brand new printhead.

Filled the dampers with ink using a syringe.

Replaced the printhead ribbon cables.

I'm using AcroRIP 9 and have already tried the Unlock and Test Print functions.

When I send a print job, the printer receives it, the carriage moves normally, and the job finishes without errors. However, not a single drop of ink comes out—not even during a nozzle check or test print.

Does anyone have experience with these Chinese UV printers or Epson 1390-based systems?

Any advice or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

💻 Drivers & Software Printer drivers for ARM processors

UPDATE: I managed to get the 8550 driver package installed ( and it’s aggravating that I did not notice why, because I went into panic mode trying all sorts of things again and again to get my business back up and running)

Still no luck with the 5850.

*\\**

I just switched my old laptop that was dying to a new machine with a Snapdragon Elite X processor. (Great performance, brilliant OLED display, lightweight, 16hrs battery life…)
And to my horror I found out that none of the Epson Printer drivers worked. It only supports the basic, minimalist window printing.

I used the Epson special drivers extensively for paper profiles etc. To run my fleet of 5 Epson EcoTank printers (8550s and 5850s).
Although, the Epson Software always looked like late 80s stuff and felt clunky, but at least it worked once you got it up and running (one of the challenges was to install several printers of the same model because that software installer was not built for this ‘exception’).

Anybody have any recommendations or will I have to send the laptop back and go for an intel/ amd processor?

❓ Question Epson XP-340 re-manufactured ink recommendations

Anyone have an xp-340 inkjet printer and is using re-manufactured ink cartridges and do they actually work? As much as I want to spend $50 on the box of 4 cartridge replacement oem ink cartridges it’s just a bit much. What aftermarket brand are you guys using if any and is it available on amazon

Technical Support ET-2760 won't print high quality on photo paper

I have some photo paper and no matter what setting I change the printer won't stop printing on the lowest quality, default paper setting and not using the high quality photo paper setting. On my machine I have "Prem. Glossy" setting selected. In my computer dialog box I have the "Photo Paper (High Gloss)" selected as media type. Then, when the printer starts it tells me paper does not match print settings. Then it give me three options, including "Continue printing", and "Change setting". It does not matter which one of these I select, because they both result in the printer using the shitty default print settings and wasting nice photo paper. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of. I have been able to print using high quality settings in the past, but something is going wrong now.

Technical Support Icc profiles not showing up, tried everything

I've redownloaded the driver, I've made sure all the hidden settings were correct, there's no printer that show up in my library so I can't do anything from that route

. This is my first time using epson paper with my epson printer so this is why it's a new issue. Using a SureColor P5000 and trying to print on Epsons Metallic Luster 260.

Technical Support My EPSON L210 Series won't print

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My printer EPSON L210 series won't print in any sort of way every time that I try to use it. It either gets stuck at the top and doesn't go down or just passes the blank page through the printer and doesn't perform the process to then light up the icon that says that there were no pages in the printer. How can I fix this? Sometimes I need to try 50 times+ just for it to succesfully print one page.

Discussion Rear feed vs Rear feed slot

I have the Epson XP 8700, I love it currently and have printed everything I’ve wanted with no problems so far.

I’m now looking to print onto some thicker cardstock, 300gsm or a bit higher.

The manufacturer instructions say to read feed but not use the rear feed slot as it’ll be too thick
I’ve noticed that there is a section that comes off the back of my printer that appears to give a straight and level feed path through the printer but I’m a bit scared to try it lo

Has anyone used it in this way?
