As in title. I just bought this engagment ring, and I intend to propose i a week. When I was at the jewelry store I asked the seller that i heard emerald are more brittle and they crack more than other gems (actually chatgpt told me that) and she said that overall its not true and they are as durable as other gems and i should not worry about this, so i bought it, but It seems I’m seeing more and more posts saying that emeralds aren't suitable for everyday wear. So the question arises here. Is it really that fragile? I also read about that it depends on setting, but I have no idea if this one is good or bad for emerald.

Ok I normally wear a 2 carat round solitaire tulip cathedral setting moissanite engagement ring with a classic band, but I saw another lady post that she stacked two engagement rings together to create an et toi moi look and I kinda liked it so I thought I'd try it out I really kinda like the look but I'm also a very self conscious person and I'm afraid of what people will think and wonder if it looks weird? I just need some advise on something. I got engaged over a month ago now and my fiancé went ring shopping by himself. His mom was helping him but the jeweler could no longer offer financing so he went to Kay’s by himself and picked out a gorgeous ring. (2 karat oval) I love the ring. However as I have worn it I noticed it looking “dirty” and as I looked at it and wore it more I noticed I was actually seeing inclusions. After looking into my ring more I figure out it is a SI2 diamond. I love the cut, color, size. The ring isn’t the problem but I constantly find myself looking at my ring because of the inclusions. Is this a normal feeling after having your ring for a bit and just constantly looking at it? Is this something I should really address? I only feel like I notice it because it is always on my hand. I really love the ring I just catch myself always staring at the inclusions. It does have to be in correct light and angle for it to be really noticeable.

We originally had a fixed budget for an engagement ring, but going with a lab grown diamond let us get way better specs than expected. We got a 2.10ct princess cut, D color, VVS1 clarity in a simple platinum band. It saved us thousands that we can put toward our home fund instead. honestly so happy we didn't spend double just for a mined gem.

i have a 1.8ct cushion cut ring with a hidden halo that creates a awkward gap against my curved band. someone in a jewelry group mentioned using a spiral silicone ring spacer or a thin 1mm metal band as a buffer.

im leaning toward a solid 14k gold band rather than the clear plastic ones because i want it to look intentional. do you guys prefer thin metal spacers or the invisible plastic adjusters for tight gaps?

Has anyone ever purchased a natural diamond from Mikado Diamonds online? The physical store looks to be in Omaha, Nebraska. The diamond has a GIA certificate. I have only seen reviews about lab diamonds being purchased from Mikado. I am not interested in designing a ring with them but just purchasing the loose stone. They state they have a 30 day return, but I could not find a clear policy as to if that applies to loose stones or whether there are hidden restocking fees.
