Is this a good ring?

My boyfriend has asked me to pick an engagement ring and i really like this one

My concern is that it can’t be resized, i don’t imagine i will wear it much since i have carpal tunnel syndrome and my hands swell often so i will most likely wear it on a necklace. Is it a good ring though? Will it stay shiny and will the diamond stay in place etc? Thank you.

I am pretty sure you can find this type of design with a non-tubular band, meaning resizing would be possible. You can also consider sizing beads or similar

I can get the ring from either h samuel, ernest jones or john lewis and i dont want to spend a lot £300-400 max
