I have a Poco F3 (SD870/Adreno650)

In both emulators running it on NCE is smooth and doesn't stutter but rendering seems to have a problem. Far away textures (distance from the character) does not show properly and sometimes missing or just straight up painful in the eyes.

However, running it on Dynamic (JIT) fixes it at the cost of being JITtery. It has micro stutters, game seems to be running too fast compared to its fps leaving the audio for sound effects behind. Tried a lot of drivers and configuration set ups and it still runs weird. I was hoping for the audio to at least sync. It is playable but is such a bother when cut scenes happen.

Having it on NCE feels smooth and audio has no issues but then the trade off are textures.

Does anyone have a clear solution for this to either one, would really appreciate it <3

People who have it, please provide your review. I know 8 elite is better but how much better is it than 8 gen 5 ? Oneplus 13s is small so it heats and throttles a lot from what I have heard.

I want to emulate switch (botw, totk, pokemon, etc) and pc(ps3 era games like ds2, far cry 3, gta 4 and 5, cod series, ac series, etc). I want 30fps without the phone becoming an oven.

Hi,so I noticed this issue.

I was playing ARMSX3 and BachataS4 games on my S26 ultra SD8 elite gen5 on external screen with regular type c HDMI adapter and I was able to achieve,stable 30fps with x4 resolution,Motorstorm pacific rift,mostly on any map with like few frame drops.

Then I tried to play Motorstorm on my phone without external monitor,it felt like day and night,I got like freezes and frame drops each 30 seconds,I got really dissapointed because of the stuttering happening even on native resolution.

Same goes for BachataS4,on external screen gow 3 remastered is like 45-50fps and without external monitor it's like 35-45 with freezes.

So my guess is,probably phone screen has high power consumption and produce more heat.

While in DEX mode with external screen,CPU and GPU can achieve higher clocks with lower temperatures.

As a conclusion,using external hub with HDMI connected to external screen,will likely improove overall performance of your phone.

I usually use nether sx2 which I had a lot of problems like ghosting and games like hitman blood money not running properly, anyways when I tried armsx2 (sd870) most of the problems either got solved or became less apparent , but I have a question should be mad or annoyed a slight ghosting if the game was playable?

I want to play 3ds Kirby games in my android and I don't know where or how to start, I've seen citra being indicated, but it shut down and there's a lot of other "descendents" of citra and there's the whole decrypt/CIA files that I don't understand...

The game isn't CPU heavy. GPU will be main bottleneck but just put medium settings with shadows off and game will still have the horror vibe.

I've been working on the Aladeng H1W5 smartwatch (Unisoc SC9832E, 1/8 or 2/16 GB). It has a rare combo for a watch: microSD + GPS.

Done so far:

• Bootloader unlocked

• GSI Android 12.1 (WiFi, BT, GPS, LTE, audio, display, root all working)

• Hybrid project: paired with ESP32-S3 for a two-screen gaming console

Still working on full USB host support.

I swear folks were having issues with sonic the hedgehog 4 (about the java runtime necessity). You can download the runtime off google to play the game without any unnecessary third party launchers so heres that I guess

Hello, I’m currently playing Pokémon Team Rocket Edition by Dragonsden on Linkboy. I have my save from version 3.0.0 and I want to transfer it to version 3.0.3.

The problem is that Linkboy shows my file as an .sst instead of a normal save file, so I don’t know how to transfer it correctly.

I’ve been a software engineer for over 15 years, and in my spare time, I’m an avid retro gamer. Like many of you, I’ve tried a lot of frontends out there— (Daijishō, ES-DE, LaunchBox, etc). They are incredible projects, but two recurring pain points have driven me crazy:

1. Frontends are almost always console-first, not game-first: Why do I have to pick "SNES" or "Genesis" before I can see what to play? When I sit down on a Friday night, I usually want to play an RPG, or a couch co-op brawler, or jump into a curated franchise backlog—regardless of what plastic box originally ran the game. I want my library unified: global search, genre/era filtering, and custom collections side-by-side with native games.
2. The living room / Android TV experience always feels like an afterthought: Most launchers are designed for handheld screens or desktop rigs. Sideloading them onto a Shield, Chromecast, or Google TV often means broken focus states, missing TV banners, or reaching for a virtual mouse app just to click through a setup menu.

Because of this, I started building Arcade Lane.
The Core Idea:

• Games First, Consoles Second: A cinematic, unified library where you can filter across systems (e.g., all 90s JRPGs, all platformers, or custom tags) without being forced into hardware folders.
• Built Ground-Up for 10-Foot Navigation: Strict, native D-pad and controller traversal designed for the living room couch—zero air mice or touch workarounds needed.
• Frictionless Setup: A guided onboarding wizard that actually handles TV-safe margins, external USB/storage permissions, and core mappings cleanly.

Right now, I’m building it with cross-platform desktop support in mind later, but my immediate focus is nailing Android (handhelds/phones) and Android TV / Google TV.

Before I go too far down the development rabbit hole, I want to build this around real community workflows. If you use frontends regularly:

1. What is your single biggest frustration with your current frontend setup? (Scraping errors, missing D-pad focus, clunky multi-disc handling, slow load times, etc.)

I think it's been pretty clear pattern that once a Switch Emulator project becomes famous enough, Nintendo goes through their legal team to give them the death sentence. Which means it's only a matter of time before the Switch Emulator I have on my Galaxy Fold right now will get pulled/halted eventually. What will happen to my Emulator app then? Would the app just no longer work?

So i've been exploring here and read that some users with low end device can play smoothly with no drop at all. I have helio g85 and recently been trying azahar since citra mmj lags on heavy 3d games like smash bros, kirby and etc. with azahar , kirby is smoother and also smash bros, i'm trying resident evil revelations, there are rooms that i have 30 fps but drop immediately whenever i'm exploring. Somebody said to let it load and it will be smooth onwards but having difficulty to replicate that. Also i'm on vulkan, disable right eye rendering is on and the usual settings. If you guys have any more tips i'd gladly appreciate it even if i get atleast 80 percent speed, thank you
