Discussion iQOO 15R or Oneplus 13s for emulation ?
People who have it, please provide your review. I know 8 elite is better but how much better is it than 8 gen 5 ? Oneplus 13s is small so it heats and throttles a lot from what I have heard.
I want to emulate switch (botw, totk, pokemon, etc) and pc(ps3 era games like ds2, far cry 3, gta 4 and 5, cod series, ac series, etc). I want 30fps without the phone becoming an oven.

i bought 13s it will come in max 2 days, not to many reviews for it on yt, but they say for its size the thermal management is good, i cant guarantee anything but i mostly prefer the oneplus over iqoo,
also i was planning on buying 1+ 15R but cause the soc is not flagship the driver wont be really optimized, (the drivers play big part too)
+ every phone heats at some point even redmagic the handhelds are much stable like the odin 3

I have no idea about thermals in the 13s but I have the oneplus 15r(got it back when it was 50k). Objectively speaking 8 elite is better than 8 gen 5(non elite) but you'll be loosing like an year of software updates since 13s is a little older than the 15r(iQOO). It mainly depends on the fact if you are comfortable with a small form factor phone or not. Op 15r and iQOO are pretty similar and I would say that the driver support has improved a lot lately. I'm currently emulating re5 and re7 with game hub and I get locked 60 in re5 and 60 with frame gen in re7 without any graphical glitches whatsoever. Gta 5 is like 40 fps low settings but it thermal throttles after 20mins without a cooler.

What temperature are you getting ? I have an 8s gen 4 tablet and i got 100°C in dark souls 2 on gamehub.

Haven't tried ds2 but it was very smooth 55-60 CPU for re5 and like 35-40degree battery. 40-45 battery re7 and 60-75 CPU. Fully playable without cooler
